Simex Tyres

Looking at buying some 225/50 16" tyres. I don't give the car a heap so just looking for reasonable tyres. I hear people have good results with the simex - well atleast in the dry. Just wondering what they are like in the wet?

They spin up if you have a heavy foot.

Im running simex sm8000 on all 4 and if you give it stick they light up easily in the wet or dry.

On a light foot though i dont have any troubles with them. But what do you expect for $120 ea tyres

Thanks for the reply....So how do you rate them in terms of cheap tyres? Better than most?

I have michelins on the rear that grip very well - I will move them to the front and see what the simexs are like on the rear. Is there any other tyres that are about $170 or so each that are much better than the simex?

I have had savas b4 that were absolutely crap - though they may have been very old when I put them on.

Hankook k104s can be bought for around the $180 and they are pretty good, I like em and they are considered good by many people on this forum

Toyo are the best brand by far i say...

I use Nankangs for cheapie tyres

you can get toyo trampios for $220 each in 225/50

trampios are very good grip wise for how much they cost.

and bridgestone potenza G3s arent too bad, you may wanna consider some of these, and they are pretty cheap too, might be able to get 205/55s for under 170
