Wastegate Size

hey, before i get slandered, i have used the search button and nothing as to exactly what i wanna kno.

i am currently doing a single turbo conversion over to the hks t04z and looking for the mid to high 600s hp. i have no problem getting the turbo or manifold, but now to decide which wastegate. im fairly new to the turbo side of things so i dont understand what they mean by all different rate springs etc. my main qestion is what determines how big of a gate i go? and what size (mm) gate should i be looking a to support my application? and what brands, no generic cheapo brands for sure
