http://www.abd.org.uk/pr/299.htm . Now that you have the link, try bombarding Roberts with letters so that she might be aware that there's more than one person that knows that other govts. around the world have stopped using camera radars because of the obvious reasons. If enough people make the effort something might change. If everyone moans and does nothing, change will never happen. The link http://www.policespeedcameras.info/ was not posted to start a debate on radar detectors or hair spray, rather for the articles and info like http://www.policespeedcameras.info/laws.html

a mate of mine has got the Bel with the sensors that mount on the front of the car, althought they're about $1500. Hasn't let him down.He tried the ordinary Bel's and said they were crap with the multanova.

Some interesting stuff to get you more pissed off, especially from the camera operator http://www.policespeedcameras.info/tv_reports.html

In British Columbia Canada, they finally admitted that the speed cameras were revenue raisers and decided to stop using them. They obviously had some politicians who had the balls to speak the truth. It was mentioned on the site (link below) quite some time ago. Had a brief look but must be somewhere in the forum section from a couple of years ago. Some interesting things on this site. Read the "latest news" section below the picture of the speed camera and you will see why they want to ban the release of camera locations. Grubby pr!cks they are. http://www.policespeedcameras.info/

Far out, that's pretty ordinary. You must be pretty patient, after 1 month I would have been pulling heads off. All the ads get me pissed off especially when one has an impecable record and they reward you by upping the premium substancially. Anyway, I wouldn't insure a sh!thouse with them.

keep a watch on the Navada computers bargainboard site, there seems to be the odd dodgey character on there selling all kinds of things http://bargainboard.navada.com.au/

I'd say that in the odd instance that the insurance co. doesn't send an accessor would be either a very small repair and or the reputation of the smash repairer. There are the odd repairers that won't compromise when it comes to fixing vehicles as their bollocks are on the line, reputation wise and the insurance co. know who they are. I know Lombardis personally and they whinge and moan about insurance co. always trying to screw them down. Actually, they whinge and moan about everything, but the fact of the matter is that I also know what assets they have and believe me, they have done very well in that game.

I'd rather a secondhand panel than a panel full of bog. A good repairer wouldn't bother with large amounts of bog, too much labor involved.

R.I.P. - Another Skyline and owner killed over east

4 door r33 $750 Unique Car Insurance for $18,000. Stay away from HBF. Was with them for 2 years, unblemished record and then they wanted to stick it to me. Then they had the gall to phone and query if I was renewing after I had told them that I was going elsewhere. The dumb bitch asked who I was insuring with and when I told her and how much I had been quoted, she said that they would match it. Yeah right. $uck on this. Unique are pretty good with mods also. Don't know what they are like with the youngsters.

Yeah, and shipping that grade of fuel from the east would definitely not be cost effective. I noticed in the email Caltex sent me that he stated that they can not produce their own (98) in W.A., I am thinking that because Ultimate is a very clean fuel, it may be refined a lot more than the other fuels and perhaps BP will not sell this particular grade to the others, thereby keeping the whole 98 market to themselves. I do recall hearing or reading somewhere that cheap crap fuel is brought in from Singapore. It was mentioned that some of the cheap fuel outlets use it. Correct me if I'm mistaken.
-
Just did another search on the Mobil site for outlets in W.A. that have Synergy 8000 and there were zero listed. Because BP is the only oil refinery in WA, it would seem that it is not going to be viable for the others to ship it over from the east. Only a huge demand for 98 would change that and that's not likely to happen for a long time.

Had a look at the Mobil site and found Synergy 8000 is their 98 RON fuel. The article below is from their website. The Mobil Synergy Fuel System is available at selected Mobil service stations in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. The Synergy Fuel System will be progressively rolled out to other states in Australia. See this site for more details. If it is advertised as Synergy 8000 then it will be the 98 RON fuel. They also have Synergy 6000 and 2000 which are premium and regular unleaded respectively.

I doubt that it is 98 RON

could be a dodgey ground wire on that side

have contacted Caltex regarding the release of Vortex 98 as their website mentioned that NSW was distributing 98 and other states would follow in the new year. The dialogue is as follows; Will Caltex Vortex 98 be available in Western Australia in the near future? Regards Rick Rick, At this stage, no release date has been set for Vortex 98 in WA. Bruce So that means it will be released? Rick, I can't give you a definite answer one way or the other at this stage. It will depend on how supply to the other States goes. As you probably know, there is only one Refinery in WA, and it is not owned by Caltex, so we cannot produce our own in WA, it would have to be shipped around the coast, so it will have to depend on how much supply of the product we have. Bruce Somehow I don't think we will see 98 here and will be at the mercy of BP, bummer
