  1. Where are you located mate? If it's Melbourne and the front bar is the "Aero" one and is in good nick let me know. Thanks mate.
  2. hahah Almost all bar 1 traffic light on Stud Road was down today. It was certainly interesting driving through there. Apparently news reports that the blackouts are from the power lines from NSW being in the fire up at Benella.
  3. I disagree, it all has to do with driver attitude, nothing to do with the car. It all has to do with self control. In my case I drive like an absolute grandma in my Skyline as I try not to enforce the hoon stereotype that goes with our cars. But in my dad's commo, well lets not go there.... Funny thing is I have never been pulled over in the commo but have been pulled over for "random" checks numerous times in my Skyline.
  4. LOL!! Actually unsealed pods are actually less effective than that good old restrictive airbox you just removed. There are plenty of threads explaining why if you go pod you should seal it off with a heatshield so I won't get into it. At the end of the day it's your car and your choice as to which mods you believe is best.
  5. Why would installing a pod effect how much dust gets into the engine bay? But yes the louder induction noise is normal.
  6. This should really be in the Vic section only as well imo.
  7. I'm not sure if it is the clubs concern or not as I'm not a member but I think it does matter especially if they are advertising the club. Everyone is right, personal actions should not be associated with the club, and you can't expect everyone to agree. But from an outsiders point of view, if I saw a car with SAU stickers over it at such events I don't think it does well for the public perception of the club. So I guess if you like those events then don't advertise the club on your car when you attend them???
  8. I understand that completely and wasn't attaching personal actions to the club at all. I was just talking about what it looks like from the outside, I am in no way trying to offend SAU-Vic.
  9. lol I don't know, going by Bec's reasoning I guess you guys are right. But I didn't know this beforehand. But at the end of the day I don't care because I don't live there.
  10. I must admit you guys at SAU are great at deceiving everyone. When I joined this forum you all gave the impression that you were all mature angels that only ever do such activities on legal tracks. I guess 90% of the members do but I was pretty shocked to learn a couple of individuals are actually from a different crowd. The image was going well but it has just fallen apart in the last few months through reading here and also other sources. No offense was intended by this post, just stating my observation.
  11. That's not an option imo. You do realise how close Sandown is to residents? I can literally hear revving and tyres screeching from my uncle's place down near Corrigan Road. As much of a great idea it is to promote legal drags, I don't think the near-by residents would appreciate the disturbance late night.
  12. LOL if that was a dig at his car, it was pretty lame.
  13. I don't know why the person in charge of TMU in the area didn't plan a huge organised blitz (just like the one at Tullamarine) before it got to this. I mean we already knew what was going on last Friday, with publicity it would only make numbers go up which we saw this week. TBH I just hate everyone that belongs to that crowd and want them off the road.
  14. Hey, rioting for the right to rip skids on a public road is a damn worthy cause. I fact rioting against our enemy, the police is the only reason you need y0!
  15. Is the RB20 igniter pack the same as a RB26?

    Got Pulled Over

Yer I've been noticing lately ever since these impound laws have come into effect the popo have been getting into this habit of yelling: A) Turn off the car and fkn hand me your keys, your car is being impounded for <insert some made up offense> B) Turn off the car and fkn hand me your keys and licence because you won't be needing them anymore. Upon the driver not admitting to some bs offense the cop just made up they continue insisting in an attempt to get the driver to cave in and admit to something they haven't done through fear I guess? Especially with the yelling and looking down onto us in the car. But if those attempts fail they will head back to their car, prolly do the standard licence and registration check and then look through some books to find any old offense they can pin the driver down for. If not go inspect the car for defects. This has happened so many times now that I'm starting to believe this is a common strategy/procedure for most cops in order to get more fines. Think about it, you are yelled at and threatened your pride and joy is to be taken away, you are instantly scared and think of how bad this situation is. So now when it comes time to receive say some bs offense that isn't really true you will just accept it willingly believing this is such a great outcome compared to what it could of initially been. I must commend the popo for great thought behind this new strategy, just so ethical. BTW: Before you say I'm basing this opinion on hear say through friends, I've actually been there when it happened.

    Caliper Rebuild

Race Brakes know their stuff but I forgot how much they charged me to recondition my front calipers that were seized.
  19. Got a pic of the left headlight? Are the mounts on them still good? You wouldn't have the right one by any chance would you?
  20. Yer my catch can had a hole it in and I recently noticed it was letting out some "mist". Went away once you revved the motor, but once back on idle it came back. I take it this is normal? Because I hardly get any blow-by. Btw I've sealed the hole now because it was actually being vacuum leak in my system.
  21. I wasn't referring to anyone in particular, just the latest vibe in this thread in general that's all.
  22. Why is it that all of a sudden it matters who "started" sliding first... I'm sure Bob and his uncle was sliding back in 1950 as well, you don't see him flopping out his e-penis. Seriously who cares, just go out and have fun. Jeez...
  23. Over night parts from Japan y0! Sorry I couldn't help it. BTW Silver cars are hot!
