how come the tyre placard you took a pic of does not have the correct wheel? it's only got 17 x 8.5

there is something that i'm not sure about though. I always thought that r33 gtr wheels were 17 x 9 inches? can people please confirm?

you cannot get a straight answer for a questoin like that. It all depends on the offset, the height of the car etc. An example. I had a set of 17 x 9.5 inch wheels at the back. they fit just perfectly to fill the guard. When I lowered it, it would scrape the guard. yet, r32 gtr rims are only 8 inches wide and do the same (this is offset). You could probably fit 22 inch wheels under there. MAybe even 24 inch if it's not lowered. Or if you raised it, you may be able to fit 30 inch wheels under there.

He was a so called "mechanic" and he reckoned I should use mul grips. I bought em, and I was just thinking wtf? this is going to strip it to the shithous (I tried it on somehting else first).

yeah, grabbing that little flat bit on the bolt is my main concern. An adjustible wrench is just stripping it. WHat is a small shifter?

I find that the top bolt on the susp unit is very tight. What is the best tool to use to hold that little rod? An adjustible spanner just seems to strip it. Can anyone give me some good tips on removing it?

well, as a p plater, all that I can say is suck shit. I remember when people were aksing for opinions about the restrictions that were about to come in, about half of the people on this forumn thought it was a good idea. Many even agreed with the night curfews, which even karl scully said were so bloody ridiculous that he decided to scrap. Once again, merry christmas, suck shit, and I told you so.
