Garage Cleanout - Random Stuff Fs

Sure, the gtr may be faster. But it really depends on which on you prefer. 32 gtr looks old on the inside and outside. Condition on the gtr will most likely be a lot worse than the 33. When I bought my car, I had to make the decision, and I chose the 33. It's just like how people have to choose between r34 gtt and r33 gtr. same price. At the end of the day, the 33 is 5 years newer. People keep saying i'd never pay that much for an r33 gtst. That one may be a couple grand overpriced, but in general, people keep saying you can buy an r33 gtst sII for like 18k. yeah, you can, but what condition will it be in?

I have a boot lock cover for sale. much cheap than getting it shaved. Plus, with it shaved, if your boot popping mechanism ever breaks, that's a back seat out job to access it, and there is no way you can remove the batt and crawl into the boot through that little port hole to fix it. That is, compared to just sticking the key in to open it, and working on the popper from the boot itself.

Well, they might have been 3600 when new. That might be why the insurance company quoed them at that price. It's weird that your insurance company went to that much detail. With Just car, I just told them i had wheels. They go how much are they worth. I said xxx. They never asked what time etc. I coulda said they were worth $1, or 10k.
-
I name them Habib.

Because of your use of the word chinaman, you deserve to have that car written off. Perhaps the correct phrase would have been 'a person wrote my car off'. I mean, I've had a car written off before too. I could say a bogan/hick/convict wrote my car off
-
Haha, I interpreted your original post as that you had an accident, and the wheel was not changed and you were changing it now. Airbag does not go off during low speed collision. But it's cool. In regards to that curly thing, i've got no idea
-
I'm gonna clean the boot off first. I'm just hoping that for some odd reason, oil has splashed onto it. I dunno how though, because it's not near anything. There's something i'm wondering. If I do not repair it now, will I run into more problems later? like will it end up costing more? (provided I keep the fluid topped up)
-
the stupid thing is the boots are not split. The car in question is only 4 years old. Family car. Sorry for the lack of knowledge, but what is the oil that is leaking? I'm guessin that since it is from the steering rack it is power steering fluid? Cheers
-
oh, my r33's rack boots are spotless. I'd post up pics if I knew how to. The car in question is my daily driver. So a bit of oil is normal? Perhaps I had better clean it all off, and see if it dripped from somewhrere above.

be careful of airbag. Dangerous if not done correctly
-
What does this mean?
-
Don't worry mate. When the time comes, removing the injectors and fuel rail is not difficult. I had never done it before, and I did not even need to look at the manual. It took about 2 hours to remove (including about 1.5 hours of stuffing around trying to work it out) and 1/2 hour to put them back in.
-
Agreed
-
Fatz I've seen you in the 31 out at oran park before. You are crazy mate. hahaha How many tyres do you go through? was that your ute with the tyres stacked on the back?
-
Oh yeah, I know for sure it'll be an absolute 5hitbox . I just don't wanna hurt my car on the track, so I wanna buy a paddock basher. Fatz/Mark... show me the way. hahahhaa Fellars, I'm not expecting much from the 31, but does it actually have enough power to rip a burnout?
-
I'm going through the same thing atm mate. The only issue I cant think of is this. Once you add the injector cleaner to fuel, it will be very diluted and will have almost no effect. If it was strong, it MAY dissolve the blockage, but will also damage lines and your engine. It really depends on what the blockage is. If it is sediment or rust, it cannot be dissolved by injector cleaner. I still beleive the best way is to take them out and get them cleaned. It takes about an hour to take it out with the fuel rail, and then spend $200 to have them cleaned and flow tested.
