  7. True true, best method is to always start at base one as terry mentioned and ensure you start with a solid clean, the clay bar, moving to a polish/wax remover and then progressing from there into a more detailed polish again and finally sealing with an appropriate wax. Again, this is all subject to time and budget...and the condition of your car

  10. I really enjoy reading internet banter sometimes lol Regardless of what many of you may think, you should at least show some appreciation for the work, effort and time, the various administrators/ moderators give to this site of skyline enthusiasts. I respect the fact that they're active and policing the forums, threads and working towards ensuring a cohesive, running website. It's not an easy task. There may be times that each one of us will come across a moment where we feel wronged, however, consider this holistically: This is an internet based forum for skyline enthusiasts, it's free and functions off the wealth, knowledge and experience of others. It only aims to protect, enhance and support our shared passion. Unfortunately, with anything that's free, you'll always find others who aren't as appreciative, or perhaps ignorant. Advice, suggestions and constructive arguements are good within reason, however, please don't carry on ranting and berating others because you feel belittled, or feel superior to others. If you have constructive criticism or wish to give honest, opinionated advice then do so, however, consider your words. Anyway, credit to the moderators/ admin staff for being active and making an effort towards steaming an annoying issue. I'm tired of seeing meaningless posts, bumps, etc in regards to the for sale section. Thanks Meta (and yes, i can see the irony in what i've posted lol)

Attached is my passport copy for you to know who you dealing with Regards, Evan Harry I got this from a malaysian scammer an hour ago. They also provided this, which they said would "verfiy who i was dealing with," (a lame ploy to trip up people and to create a feeling of security and trust) It's quite an interesting scam, especially how they use "e-checks" through paypal Anyway, thought this may interest a few people
  12. So back to the compression test, did they have one done? or are they just saying the engine is low on compression? As for your engine problems, those symptoms don't sound like a compression problem, if it was an engine problem, particularly with compression, you'd feel and see the syptoms, particularly during idle or whilst driving it through the rev ranges. The air whooshing sounds more like a cracked hose, or a loose one at that? Is the r33 modified? Actually, are you in townsville? because if you'd like i could come by and have a look at it, or is it in the workshop?
  13. Alright, first things: 1. Compression test- if the engine is having compression issues, this would be the most obvious route, start cylinder 6 and work forwards, the 6th cylinder is often the lean one 2. The turbo, if it's not getting boost, have you checked all the hose fittings/ vacuum lines for leaks? Before you start going off replacing an engine, look for any possible reasons why the turbo may not be boosting As for compression, if you do have an issue, than the engine would run like shit and you'd be struggling to drive it It should idle rough, have poor fuel economy, blow more smoke, etc There are a lot of possible reasons for why a turbo isn't boosting, but yes, first things first, ask for the compression test and ask them to tell you which cylinder is down first otherwise, if you can provide more information on how this came about, other characteristics, then it's very hard to generalise without trying to break down more specifics on what the car's behaviour is like, i.e, how it idles? How does it drive normally? how does it drive under-revs/ load? does it stall at certain speeds? Once we can start pin pointing the small things, you'll get a better idea of if you need a new engine? or whether or not it's as simply as a loose vacuum line, fault AFM, injector, etc... Hope this helps mate, i'll keep an eye on this thread and help you out as much as i can
  14. what's the engine doing? like actual problems/ behaviours/ characteristics?
