  1. Unique Autostport make brackets for some different combos, i asked about them in this thread, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=123671 cheers
  2. HI Guys, I was just wondering if anyone has used the Unique Autosport brake brackets to run the GTR front brake discs on an R33 GTST before. I have already got the discs so im only interested in the quality of the brackets, not the discs. I have read that a lot of people have made their own brackets to use the GTR discs but no one has mentioned the UAS brackets, any info would be great. Link - http://www.nismo.com.au/pricelists/General...ge1brakekit.jpg Thanks NutR33
  3. I waited until the motor was in the car, luckly it was a manual, put it in 4th gear with someone in the car with their foot on the brake. I quess there would be a tool that would lock the crank in place by holding the flywheel/flex place. NutR33
  4. the bolt for the rb26 crank is a different thread i believe, i brought a new bolt and washer from nissan RB26 crankshaft pulley bolt NI-12309-05U00 $7.64 RB26 crankshaft pulley bolt washer NI-12308-05U00 $11.56 both these prices were list price 18 months ago, may have changed slightly. you will have to try the r32 pulley but my bet is that it will fit as most parts are interchangable. PS, if you are using the rb26 crank, bolt and washer i strongly surgest that you use the torque setting for the rb26 balancer bolt which is 446 - 466Nm, thats DAM tight, trust me. for that tension you will most likely have to use a special torque wrench, i borrowed a 5ft long one from a truck place and strugled with 2 people to do it up!!! Have Fun NutR33
  5. ok, thanks for that, i had read sometime ago that an early pintara cable or something is about the right length and ends. guess i will have to do some meusuring at the wreckers one day. cheers NutR33
  6. hey guys, just a quick one, what throttle cable are you running with the q45 throttle and GReddy intake? any help would be great NutR33
  7. i have an r33 gtst rb25det with an rb 26 crank and rods in it. the crank drops straight in as do the rods and pistons. i clearanced the oil squirter cut outs in the pistons a touch more as the pistons were coming very close to the squirters when i had venolia pistons, but i dont know about the std rb26 pistons. The thrust bearing is in number 4 main bearing on the rb25det block, i can only assume that it is in the same spot on the rb25de block. Apart from the crank, rods, pistons, you will also need the harmonic balancer bolt and washer for the rb26 crank as it has a different thread, the rb25 balancer will also fit onto the rb26 crank. PM me if you need any other info, NutR33
  8. rb25 balancer will fit on a rb26 crank, this is in the rb25 block. so there for the rb 26 balancer will go onto the rb25 crank, but i dont know about balancer outside diameter or belt grove spacings or offsets.
  9. Maybe place an ad in the wanted section for the parts that you want. i guess a lot of people will have springs laying aroud after upgrades on gtr's. im just using std gtr springs at the time being until i get it all set up and then look at getting some aftermarket springs so that i can rev it up a bit. hope this helps P.S. im doing all this with the help of Wade Camshafts in melbourne so it is not just guess work and bush machanics. Cheers NutR33
  10. I am currently playing with Gtr buckets into an gtst head. the valves an a gtr are about 14mm longer than a gtst so a 14mm spacer will have to be made to sit between the valve tip and under the bucket. I am also looking at using the valve retainers from the intake side (exhaust valve stems are thicker than the gtst) of the gtr and the shim adjusters to make this all adjustable. I am looking at using gtr springs as well and cutting the spring seats lower into the head due to the extra length of the springs. This is all in the aim of getting past the 9mm lift limit due to coil bind, even with aftermarket springs. I will post up in a week or so when i have some final answers and cost involved in all this work, inc cam welding and regrinding. P.S. if using solid lifters you usually have to use a different profile on the cam. Cheers NutR33
  11. I paid $1500 for my r34 gtr rims a month ago with worn out tyres and the rims needed some marks on the spokes fixed and a paint which cost me an extra $500. That allowed me to change colour slightly and add a pearl on them too. Rough pricing for rims is about 2-2500 with out tyres and around 3 with good tread. hope this helps. NutR33
  12. Can anyone please tell me the "offical" name that Nissan calls the R34 GTR rims. Thanks Nut R33
  13. you dont have to take out your dash to do this job if you dont mind degassing your ac in a R33 GTST anyway. Once your ac is degassed there is 2 big nuts on the ac lines at the firewall and 4 or so 10mm bolts inside and the ac evap core will come out and you can get to the heater core then. is a bit of a prick of a job but it can be done.
  14. quote price for the blitz adapter from autobarn was about $1300 which is dearer than the greddy intake and you still have to buy the gtr manifold. you might be able to pick up the adapter a bit cheaper but i dont think you will find one for $700
  15. HI, Today i rang Nissan about replacing a missing centre cap for my R34 GTR rims and found that there is 3 different part numbers. Are there 3 different caps or are the other two numbers for the retainer clip and badge? The caps that i have have a nut int the middle with the GTR badge in the middle of that. Has anyone seen a different style of cap for these wheels or is the spare parts guy on the good stuff?? Cheers NutR33
  16. My reason for bigger/baffeled sump is one of insurance, why spend 10g on a motors internals and not do your best to stop oil starvation and killing the motor (again). Plus i have heard when using the N1 pump that you can actually empty the std sump very quickly. Im making my sump myself with the help of an engenering mate and with oil cooler and larger filter should be pushing the capacity up around 8.5 - 9L Cheers NutR33
  17. Some quick questions that i asked High Energy and their response.... was just wondering the price of a sump for an r33 gtst rb25det? $600+gst for our Pro Eliminator are these a c/o basis or buy outright? Yes they are c/o pan and oil pickup do they come with a modified pick-up? Yes , mesh windage tray and x2 gates for better oil control on acceleration and braking. what amount of oil do they hold? 6.5Litres production lead time from date of order 2-3 weeks hope this helps NutR33
  18. THESE WHEELS ARE NOT IN MELB AS THE POST SAYS, THEY ARE NOT EVEN IN AUSTRALIA.
  19. i have seen Unique auto sports offering custom 7 litre sump for about $700, check out this link, http://sard.com.au/pricelists/pricelist_skylineengine.htm looks like a midified std sump, or try a local engenering work shop to mod yours.
