I bent an RB25 conrod, the engine was making around 210-220rwkw at the time. I only noticed it as it was making a slight ticking noise as the piston was hitting the oil squirter due to the reduced rod length. When the engine was pulled down the bigend bearings were ok and the rest of the motor was ok only a sligthly bent number 1 rod. I still have it hanging on the wll in the shed if anyone wants pics.

Hi guys, i had a great weekend. Winton on saturday was fun even if it was a bit unorganised and running behind time. It was good sunday to see the large range of cars turn out in the poor weather. Hi Al, I have thought of changing the headlights to the black ones, i think they would tie in nicely, but as you can see it was used on a wedding day......MINE, so there goes the funding for a while. The car had chrome wheels when i brought it so the headlights did fit in originaly. Yer the car was at EAS a while back getting tuned, the boys did a very good job and pointed me in the right direction with a few other things too. very happy with their work. NutR33

does it make the noise when the car is stationary with the motor running? if so it counts out all driveline from the tailshaft back. i would be looking at the fuel pump being the problem, ie not mounted corectly and rubbing on the tank or the pump is on the way out. or it could possibly be the exhaust touching the body somewhere. if it hapens with the car stationary, start the car and let it idle and walk/crawl around the back of the car until you find it cheers NutR33

Check the 4 main bolts that hold the front subframe to the chassis, they need to be super tight or can cause a knock on first turn in as the frame moves on the chassis. hope that helps Cheers NutR33
