  1. I will be running single gate though[emoji14]still Twin-Scroll though
  2. Yeah, not too sure why 6Boost told me it couldn't b doneI don't generally cheap out on things, do it once and do it right
  3. I haven't got one yet, but look at their Facebook page?- https://m.facebook.com/CRG-Turbo-Manifolds-577702618920673/
  4. It's gonna cost me $1,250 for Low-Mount Twin-Scroll w T3 Flange
  5. Also, to add to my post, not taking a dig in anyway to 6Boost as they do make top notch Manifold's!
  6. I've heard things, which I will add, I can't confirm is true. So take it with a grain of salt. This isn't an attack at 6Boost either. But, I've heard that 6Boost have a habit of saying they can't do things, if they find it too hard/can't b arsed Hopefully the CRG product goes well, it caters to my needs and he's said it can be done. So guess I'll see haha
  7. Steve,Check out Aaron Shigrov, he's got one in his 800hp (detuned from 1000hp I've heard) R32. I'll see if I can tag ya in it!
  8. Thanks for all the discussion so far[emoji14]As CRG have had good reviews and they can cater to my needs (Twin-Scroll) I'm gonna purchase a CRG over 6Boost. None the less, 6Boost from what I've seen, make mint Manifold's too
  9. Ain't that the truth, I know all too well about that
  10. Going Low-Mount not High-Mount & want to change the Exhaust Manifold just cos + Twin-Scroll
  11. Good to hear, so far both here and on another car page I'm a part of, it's had glowing reviews! Yeah, I know I want Twin-Scroll which is what is making me lean towards CRG over 6Boost
  12. Ok, thanks for the info, although have either of you heard of CRG? As that's what this topic is about
  13. Any particular reasoning why? To my understanding a good quality exhaust manifold adds a decent amount of performance increase?
  14. Hey guys, Just after some advice on a new Exhaust Manifold I have come across. So, soonish I am doing a Turbo upgrade (GTX3076R .82 Rear Housing) on my RB25DET R33 Skyline, I'll be changing the Exhaust Manifold too. I was always going to go with 6Boost as everyone knows them, they do mint work and are reputable. However my friend has recently shown me an Exhaust Manifold by the name of CRG I've never heard of them, but they do look decent and I know of one guy here in WA using one on an 800hp R32 and he said he can't fault it Just wondering if anyone else has heard of them and can vouch for them? Interestingly, 6Boost advised me they can't make the Manifold Twin-Scroll in the Low-Mount as the way the runners are made makes it not possible, however CRG have advised they can do it no issues. 6Boost: - https://www.facebook...160562/?fref=ts CRG: - https://www.facebook...920673/?fref=nf Thanks!

  16. Yeah, but this is not a normal noise nor anything that I've heard before, so far from normal.Yeah, that's true but grown fond of the GTX after being in my mates one[emoji14]he had exactly same mods except HKS Manifold & .62 Rear Housing instead of . 82 Rear Housing. + I may be putting Cams in too + bit of lag is fun I guess, just waiting for the boost to kick in and then BAM! May run E85 in the future
  17. Yeah, that's true but I do want the new manifold etc haha. So I'll just have to bite the bullet and go the GTX. Is SS2 capable of 400hp? That's the magic number I'm going for Yeah, as posted above it's good that the noise is coming from under the timing cover, I mean it's not but it's better than a knock IMO haha.
  18. Thanks for that detailed breakdown Roy! Forgot to add I've got a recon'd head. Isn't even 50ks old yet haha. So brand new Studs and gaskets
  19. Thanks for all the input everyone! Good to see that my favourite workshop is being fair haha, they are usually real good anyways.
  20. Hey guy's, Quick post just to gather some feedback. Will be having a turbo upgrade soon for my Skyline - R33 (RB25DET). I am supplying all parts needed & just need the shop to install + tune, what I'm supplying is: - Z32 AFM - 6Boost Low-Mount Manifold - GTX3076R w .82 Rear Housing (VBand) - Braided Line Kit For Turbo - 950cc Deatschwerks Injectors - Turbosmart 45mm External Waste-Gate - GReddy Profec OLED All that's needed for the shop to do if I'm correct is: - Installation - Make Custom Dump - Weld Elbow Onto Turbo - Possible Custom Cooler Piping? This is my usual shop and I always take my car there, however not sure if am imagining things or if the price is too high. I spoke to one of the mechanics (who did mention I'd need to double-check with the owner) who advised installation + above + tune could be $2k-$3k. I'm not dissing them or their work, just want to know if that's a legit price or if it is too high? Appreciate any feedback, as it is likely possible I am over-looking just how much work needs to be done etc. Thanks!
  21. None taken, based on that logic though, may as well go ahead with the GTX3076R You are most likely right in saying slapping a new motor in would be easier and cheaper than rebuilding, with one exception. I won't know the condition of the new motor, for example it could pop in 500k's etc haha.
  22. Yeah, that's true. Still booked into HyperDrive in a few weeks. So will see what they say too I'm hoping everything is fine
  23. Hey guys, update time sooner than expected Nabbed some S2 Rear Seats to match the Front Seat's, only set me back $50! The guy had upgraded to GTR Rear Seats so had no use for them. They are in mint condition, no rips, tears or stains except there is a little bit of fading in the top. Not really gonna complain for $50 tbh considering everything else is mint ------------------------------------------------ In other news: My mechanic friend came to look @ The Black Pearl today and sorta good news. He doesn't think the sound is a knock. He thinks it's something behind the timing cover rubbing as when you push the timing cover a little bit, the noise stops Which is good news, however he thinks the reason the car isn't making boost may be due to the turbo being on it's way out. He came to this conclusion as if you listen near the pod you can hear a loud whizzing noise. He recommend to pull of the pod and piping to the front of the turbo and check for end play. That would explain why the car isn't hitting boost properly, but it remains to be seen if this is the issue. If it is the issue, I might have to end up doing the turbo upgrade. Only issue now being I've got a nag in the back of my head thinking "what if I do the turbo and then the bottom end does go".. Worked it out, for what I want to do: - Z32 AFM - 950cc Deatschwerks Injectors - 6Boost Low-Mount Manifold - GTX3076R w .82 Rear Housing - 48mm|50mm Turbosmart External Waste-Gate - GReddy Profec OLED This will be - $4853.06 | not inc labor Then factor in an RB25 Rebuild Kit: - http://www.spoolimports.com/spool-engine-rebuild-kits/nissan/rb25det-rebuild-kit/nissan-rb25det-rebuild-kit Costing - $2,395 minus shipping Brings the total to - $7,248.06 Keeping in mind an estimate of $2.5k (maybe) for the labor, now brings the total to - $9,748.06 Which is almost $10k I could be using to put down on a house.. Really not sure what to do at this point in time. For me, doing both isn't an option. It has to be one or the other On one hand, I could spend $2,395 (for Rebuild Kit) + shipping + labor + an RB25 High-Flow Turbo and spend maybe $5k in one hit Or on the other hand I could spend $4853.06 + labor to get the turbo set-up stated above, but I run the risk in the back of my mind of the bottom end possibly going. Really stumped as to how I'm going to proceed Please give me some feed-back! Thanks!
  24. Hey all, I wish this were a good update, but alas there are more issues -_- But before we get there, let's cover some good things! Speedo lights before: ----------------------------- ----------------------------- During installation: ----------------------------- ----------------------------- And after: ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Came up good and have not flickered... yet I then went to a Track Day, (I started and run a Nissan exclusive car club), so we have regular track days as well as cruises. Anyways, car has been tuned on 12-13psi (can't remember) it's somewhere in the thread On this day, this car DID NOT feel at all like it was boosting @ said boost levels. Both of my mates drove it and agreed I wasn't going insane. Got home, and could hear this loud noise in the cabin but when I opened the door, the sound disappeared. Popped the bonnet to this... - https://www.facebook.com/TheBlackPearlBuild/videos/477685705774855/ Knock Knock, who's there? Well at least that's what I'm thinking. Prepare myself for the worst right? One mate has already looked @ it and agree's it doesn't sound good but he's unsure exactly what it is. My mechanic best friend Harley is coming to look @ it tomorrow, so we'll see what he say's. Regardless the car is booked into HyperDrive in a few weeks to suss it out If it does need a rebuild, this will be putting my turbo upgrade back Speaking of turbo upgrade, I have a confession to make... The Black Pearl Build, may not get too much more hektik. My good friends Reden & Harley have convinced me into a sad truth, they have been questioning why I'm spending heaps of money on The Black Pearl when it isn't my end-game. I have always wanted a GTR and it's something I'm always going to be working toward's + I am looking into getting into my own home next year. The GTR I am after is a Series 3 R33 in factory blaaaaack. IMO S3 is the best of the 3 Look at all this S3 goodness: So in light of that, not sure if the turbo upgrade will go ahead as that's $5k I could be using for a house deposit & in turn my "forever" car But at the same time, as stated in this thread, when I brought The Black Pearl it was my intention to finish her and make it a complete car So in all honesty idk what I'm going to do... I really don't I feel like I am betraying The Black Pearl and I'm not doing it the justice it deserves. Not to mention if I sold her and then found out someone else had crashed it, I'd be gutted. Even though I want an R, the thought of selling The Black Pearl upsets me! Long post, buuuuut, I'm done Until next time, thanks for reading! As always, please help me out with your opinions!
