  1. I'm glad my build is actually decent and inspiring fellow car enthusiast's
  2. Mine is a S1, pretty sure I don't have one ----------------- Cheers George, although you may be a bit annoyed when you see my next update ----------------- Cheers Matt, glad you like it thus far!
  3. Hey SAU! For those listening in at home, I've got an update for you all Car came back from HyperDrive on Thursday with working reverse lights, feels weird to finally have them as I've gone 4 years w/o them! There was no wiring or sensor in the gearbox apparently Envy that QEST goodness! They also re-mounted my FMIC, did a good job on that too and now my indicators (also QEST) fit in the bar correctly! Best part about QEST is they use genuine Nissan parts, so no issue with fitment etc. FMIC is also straight, which I'm happy about as it would annoy me if on the piss Also, the red globes for the dash arrived this week. I haven't got around to installing them yet as I'm going to get some contact cleaner to clean the back of the cluster as all my lights seem to have issues flickering after a couple of weeks. Some things I'm going to be doing soon: - Apexi Pod Filter, as my one is old and dirty asf | http://www.nengun.com/apexi/power-intake - Pod Filter Cover, even though my Pod Filter is held down by a bracket I don't want any pesky cops trying to wobble it for an easy sticker. They'll have to work me harder than that to get a sticker outta me | http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pod-Filter-Air-Box-Suits-Nissan-Skyline-GTR-R33-RB26DETT-twin-turbo-/201539400538 - Front & Rear Strut Bar, looking to go for | http://justjap.com/suspension/strut-braces/sri-front-strut-brace-nissan-skyline-ecr33-er34-red.html (Let me know if you know of any better brands) - Re-Paint my M-Spec Body-Kit, unfortunately when it was sprayed originally it didn't go too well, as there is an orange peel through-out -_- Until next time!
  4. Yeah, it does get a bit like that. With every mod you do it gets better and better but it's always a never ending process. There is ALWAYS something more that can be done!
  5. Hey all, Don't you feel like this? I know I do hahaha Update: - Still waiting for the LED Dash Lights - Car is booked into HyperDrive this week for FMIC Mounting & Reverse Sensor Install Upgrade time will be soon, just waiting till next month to start saving as I've just brought tickets to the US which is what I'm trying to finalize next month Speak soon!
  6. Just read all 24 pages from start to finish in the last two days.. Awesome thread! Can't wait to see the engine back in that nice new bay Keep up the good work man, love the thread
  7. Just read the thread man, looks awesome! Good to see the US can finally start modding and enjoying these cars, keen to see the spin you guys put on it I'm going to the US in November this year, hopefully I see it running Keep it up man!
  8. Hey all, Took the Skyline for a drive tonight after 2 weeks of inactivity, don't worry it hasn't broken again just haven't had time to drive her. Last week, for some reason I was feeling underneath my spoiler and noticed that one of the screws that holds the break light in was missing Not sure how it even came out considering the car hasn't moved in so long.. bad screw! My OCD kicked in and it immediately bothered me! So I tracked down a screw from a wreck and installed it (sorry for bad picture quality) ------------ ------------ Good as new Driving it at night, I totally forgot about some of my LED lights on the dash blown/flickering, so got on good old eBay and ordered these: - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISSAN-R31-R32-R33-SKYLINE-Z32-300ZX-RED-LED-DASH-GLOBE-KIT-/261528545310?hash=item3ce450e81e:g:bz4AAOSwiLdV-l7i Will post pics etc when they arrive Car is also booked in to HyperDrive in 2 weeks to get the Reverse Sensor fitted and to re-mount my FMIC Until then!
  9. Just read the thread up until now man, keep it up! Really keen to see where this goes tbh I'm keen due to the fact that no one gives the 'ol 20DET any love, it would be awesome to see someone make a mental 20DET So, I'll be following and watching this thread intently, don't let us down!
  10. Cheers James! Appreciate the kind words how's the 32R coming along??
  11. Hey guys, Update time, a small one but an update none the less Now that The Black Pearl is running right, I'm going to be fixing a few small things whilst I save up for the bigger upgrades mentioned above ^ + can't save for it yet as I'm still saving for US until next month On the cards is: - Reverse Sensor Replacement - Rear Number Plate Holder Replacement - FMIC Mounted Correctly - Window Banner Refresh First on the list is Reverse Sensor: so what better than to replace something that's been broken on your car since you brought it (4 years ago)? Lucky I've never been stickered or had this checked by Police Will be booking my car into HyperDrive in about 2 weeks to get this fitted. Yes, I know it's easy to fit but it's easier to let them do that whilst they do the other two jobs above (FMIC & Rear Number Plate Holder). Until next update!
  12. Yeah, I'm glad it was only that not the rings! It sucks to think about it, but at least you will know haha Yeah Lifter-Free was good
  13. Sick, looks the goods man! Can't wait to see the numbers she pulls on the tune
  14. Cheers George! Not sure yet if I'll be posting the dyno sheet
  15. Engine had low compression, Cyl 6 was @ 90 Luckily was only valve springs as the number stayed the same on both wet and dry test. Took me 3 months to buy the parts as I was only buying genuine and new stuff which was expensive etc, then after doing the head swap I had lifter issues which made it annoying to drive. Then after that I put some lifter free in it and it fixed the lifter noise but my Water Pump snapped that same day, then it sat for another month and now it's finally fixed hahahaha!
  16. No worries George, hopefully the Link is good. Heard good things from people running them in Aus Cheers man, good to see people are actually reading my thread haha
  17. Looks good! Can't wait to see future updates
  18. Just read all 6 pages, so far so good man. Awesome thread! Keen to see more updates and progress with the car I've just got my car driveable after a long 6 months and lost a little interest, but seeing this (and driving it yesterday) is getting me keeeen again Keep it up man!
  19. Ooooh, I like! Similar to what I want to do, but I'm torn between doing it for the 33 or my dream car (34R). Cheers mate, really good to see people have been giving the thread a following (like yourself), you've still been following from the early days! Thanks mate, appreciate the kind words! Not done on the look of it yet, still little bit's to take care of.. eg: - Coilovers (STD Coilover's is what I'm getting) - Enkei RPF1 (In Blaaaaack) - 18X9.5 +15 - Whiteline Sway-Bars (Front & Rear) - Front & Rear Strut Bar At that point I'll be happy with the outside, will just be little thing's to tidy up like seals etc But that's all part of the journey!
  20. Bit dusty, but..... SHE'S BACK! Running healthy now, so that only means one thing... UPGRADES! Keep an eye on this space Would like to give a shout-out to HyperDrive in WA, they did an awesome job for a fair price, couldn't recommend more!
  21. Yep... you are dead right Mark! Now just need to make it 10secs That's no good, what's being done to her!?
  22. Ok guys, Sorry about the lack of updates on the update front. Had some bills come up, recently sold my Pulsar and just brought a GQ Patrol (Gee I love Nissan's), which needed a few things. Never fear though, the Skyline has/will never miss out on the love! Genuine Water Pump take 2: Car goes into HyperDrive next week to have the new Water Pump fitted They are also checking the engine out to make sure everything is fine. Hopefully and I mean HOPEFULLY this all goes well. I would love nothing more than being able to drive the darn thing for more than 10 minute's! In the last 6 months I've driven it twice, which is a lot less for my liking. So I'm hoping next week I can start hitting consistent boooooost Providing all goes well with this, The Black Pearl will be getting some love as a reward - Z32 AFM - GReddy PRofec OLED - 950cc DeatschWerks Injectors - 6Boost Manifold (Low-Mount) - Garrett GTX3076R w .82 Rear Housing - HyperDrive Tune Can't wait for that, will take me a couple of months to save up as I'm paying for it all up front.. But waiting and slowly accumulating the parts is half the fun right? More on that after next week though, need to make sure The Black Pearl pulls through this Water Pump installation without any further issues Until then guys, thanks for reading!
  23. Pretty tight for that to occur haha. I didn't do it, my mate did. Didn't blame him though as I knew the risks etc before getting the work done ------------------------------------------ Same as above ------------------------------------------ Cheers man, glad you like the build so far! Lot of work and money has gone into this car And a lot more to come (read my update below). Awesome! going to make a build thread too?? ------------------------------------------ Yep, totally agree! Prior to this I did all the work via HyperDrive, this was the first time I tried myself. Let me tell you know, that's never happening again! Going back to letting professional's do the work
  24. Update time: Put Lifter-Free in The Black Pearl to try and get rid of the terrible Lifter sound, took it for a quick drive to the servo afterwards. All went well and the ticking went away! Yaaaay! Or so I thought -_- Since the noise went away, I went for a drive to stretch the cars legs finally. Got 10 minutes down the road and saw some steam coming from my bonnet. Pulled over immediately and saw coolant had gone everywhere ? if you look at the picture, you can see the cause of this is my Water Pump pretty much snapping... So, now need to get a new Water Pump and off to HyperDrive she goes to get fixed. I hope this is the last time...
