  5. 200rwkw? What duty cycle at what RPM is this figure acheived at?
  6. My rb20det in the HR30 drops power at around 5800rpm and starts missing at over 6200rpm. My link hand held controller goes stupid when this happens, the duty cycle will be up at 95% and then it drops to 4% and 45%. Does anyone know if this fuel pressure related or because the injectors can't pass enough fuel? What is the highest HP rating for the standard RB20DET injectors? (ECCS from R32)
  7. Tubes from the inlet manifold to the charcoal canister. they run along the underside of the pipe that goes to the throttle body.

  9. What has boost pressure got to do with coil packs?? RPM and coils are related but the amount of fuel and air being pushed in are nothing to do with the ignition. BTW, the car crapped itself on Friday (dud wire going into the back of the EFI relay). While fixing it I found 2 boost leaks from the manifold to the charcoal canister. So I blocked one and rerouted the other to the BOV. It boosts damn hard now, it comes on like a kick up the backside.
  10. I can't becuase the old one is pulled apart and the new one is covered with heat shields I'll go to a dyno day one day. Trust me, you can't do 0-100 in sub 6 seconds with 108rwkw
  11. The dyno reading was crap, he gets that power from manual HSVs with aftermarket computers extractors and cams. It was more power than he gets with VL turbos after installing IC and reprogramming. So his reading was shit. I rang the guy with the dyno and they get a reading of 150rwkw for a worked VY(?) Monaro with way over 300fwkw. So I don't think he knows what he is doing either. I get 15psi at 3200 rpm so it isn't a huge turbo. I just don't know what it is but I know it has been rebuilt and there is nothing ceramic in it.
  12. whats wrong with those? Is it not a ball bearing unit? One day I will find out what mine is? It come off an RB25 but it is too big to be an RB25 unit but the castings have no identification on them. Oh well stiff shit.

  14. that is a very good point. If I run 11 psi by blocking the bleed valve it is more responsive but I don't get the outright power. Still, the yeee haaaa factor when it goes up to 16.5 to much for me to resist.

  16. I am running 15psi now and it seems to be a good amount. It isn't stupidly fast but I have no trouble dispensing with most cars at the traffic light drags

  20. It can do. It just means that when you changed gears, for a brief moment both tyres would get grip. The one that had been spinning would be nice and hot and therefore when power was reapply the hot had more grip so the other tyre let go as that was now the path of least resistance. Does that make sense? Please still give us advice on the correct way to get the mechanical diff to work again

  22. I have been looking for some pictures of the old 240K GT in GTR spec but all I keep getting is that same picture over and over again. Has anyone got any other angles (I am assuming V8Skylineman might)
  23. So is it worth changing the oil if the diff freely spins like a single spinner when jacked up or is that a sign it is definitely rooted?
