Evening all, over the last few days I have been installing some electronic bits and pieces into my r33 and have come to a brick wall, I have lost my RPM signal! Everything else is working fine and without trouble but somewhere along the line RPM has gone walkabout. I have tried everything I know and have de-re-soldered every wire and before a start pulling the dash apart to look for dry solders behind the rev meter I thought I might ask here. So taking everything I have put into the car out of the equation (can deal with them later) what may be some reasons my rev meter gauge in the dash might stop working. I have 14v coming from the rev signal wire at the ecu when the car is on. The rest of the dash (gauges, lights) works fine. Any ideas, please?

Ok so I have a shed that needs a little clean out so I'm putting some R33 parts and a couple of other things up for sale. There are a few bits that I need for my R33 and am more than willing to swap spare parts I have for parts I need. But anyways here is a list of what I have. Prices are above the photos. $7 $10 $15 (Drivers side) $7 $5 $5 $5 (damage on the edges but in a hide-able area) $7 $15 $20 (Damage where it connects to the center console but repairable or hide-able) $10 $5 $5 $2 each or $15 the lot (the little box is a 'Safe Entry' unit, not sure what it does, 'Safe Entry' unit sounds wrong on many levels ) $5 (no idea what this is, Something from the drivers side perhaps???) $15 each $25 for the pair (No visible fraying) $5 each or $15 the lot $30 (Airbag from series 2 I think, looks ok but I have no idea about history/condition or these sort of things, please only buy if you know what your doing with airbags) $7 (no idea if it works, but maybe good for parts) $5 (same as above, might be ok just for parts) $30 (Bought new several years ago, never installed, been sitting in shed, comes as is. I may have a printed out install/user manual somewhere if needed) $15 (Pioneer DEH-something something, slight wear on some of the buttons, maybe $15 is still to high for a DEH-something something though ) $5 (for T3, don't think all gaskets are there so comes as is) Theres what I gots for now. Decided to go without the CD stacker. For how much I use the head unit anyway it wasn't worth the effort of installing. But still interested to know where others have put their stacker because I couldn't find a good spot for it at all without have to make up brackets or such. But anyways there you go

Spotted a white r33 with SAU member stickers on Lower Plenty Road, missed the plates though.

Just thought I would post a couple of pics of a little project I have just finished. I know alot of people have done the LED mod to the climate control with great results and a tried the same thing, but even still it seemed to dull for my liking. So from there I decided to have a little play and put 1 LED per button, needless to say this failed, the LEDs i was using (5mm 4000mcd waterclear white) looked horrid, only being a 30deg or so spreed from the LED only lite up around half of each button, and white for the up/down (red/blue) buttons wasn't working. After a bit more a play a came up with this - A mess of resistors and wires! All up I ended up using 15 LEDs. 13x 3mm 5000mcd waterclear White - 1x 3mm 1700mcd waterclear Red - 1x 3mm ????mcd waterclear Blue (blue led was taken from a PC tower so not sure of specs) and a bunch of resistors. The hardest part of doing this was getting the placement right for each LED. Looks all over the place but they are all where they needed to be And to save light coming out from strange gaps or openings I masked the leads and sprayed the inside matte black. And now here is how it looks sitting on my bench being tested - Looks way to bright in this photo but when looking at it in the real world all the icons are more than visible. Thinking I may need a pot somewhere as a dash light dimmer once all lights are done. Anyways hope y'all like. I will post some pics of it in-car later today.

Hi all, I just bought I new sound system with a 6 CD stacker and would like some input. Firstly to be honest I'm not sure if I want to install the stacker or not as the only time I use the stereo is on long trips, but I thought I might come and get some opinions and advice on placement if I decide to put it in anyways. All I can think of is maybe under the passenger seat (if there is room which I doubt ) or in the boot under the parcel-shelf behind the boot interior panels (out of sight and more likely to fit ). Well there are my thoughts, where have people put their CD stacker..?

Well seems like we were about to leave for the Kebab Joint tonight, lucky we looked up the address and saw the 24th See you guys next week! lol

Hi all, just wondering how I might go about getting a CAMS license. I'm a paid member of SAU Vic so that parts taken care of But I'm really looking at getting some driver training and eventually track days. I have looked high and low for info on how to get a CAMS id but have not found much on how to get one. I may just not be seeing a simple link on the site or something but could someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks
