  1. Maybe my ecu is not supported, tried rom editor, same thing. Only showed af in voltage. Went to preference parameter was set in AFR. Sending an email to uprev . . .
  2. I mean the tuner should have the ability to convert the af voltage to ratio since that's how you calculate ratio.:-\
  3. I read the manual, the issue is with my cipher software it's missing "wideband sensor conversion" in the option. Facepalm
  4. Hi, I bought uprev recently and did a few datalogging, but it is useless to tuner as the afr ratio wasnt recorded. I have looked into cipher parameters and i only manage to get AF WB-1 and AF WB-2 which is measured in voltage not the actual ratio. Any idea how to add AFR parameter into cipher? Thanks
  5. when processing this procedure, does the uprev cable has to be connected to the car? Or i can just get in and follow the steps as followed. Sorry abit noob to this, thanks
  6. i am currently tuning my v36 with uprev tuner by sending datalogs to the usa, i did run into a problem tho. After i reflashed the ECU, hood open warning light is on permanently for some reason. other than that the progress is going along slowly, i will put it on dyno and get some numbers when its fully tuned.
  7. No, the first 100 meter is all about traction and gearing, after that is more about torq than hp. thats why a falcon f6 310 will beat hsv r8 317 anyday.
  8. what i found is these turbo euros love to tag along in sydney. on my way to work or home i have been getting on with golf r/gti, sirocco r, e46/92 m3, 335i, and one 997 turbo in recent weeks. the 997 was a beast !! pulled aboout 3 cars when i reached 100. most are just 0-80 from lights and dodging traffics. I did get a chance to race a 04 e46 m3 from lights and we were dead even at 16x
  9. my uprev datalog showed the rev dropped from 710 to 480 then stayed at 560 for 1 sec before it goes back to around 700rpm at stationary. Oil temp was 98C, Water temp 90C, Intake Temp 62C. what i noticed was my timing advance was 9 degree than dropped to 0 with the rev then it picked up to 9. I will check the A/F ratio next time when i do another datalog. I have explained the situation to Uprev usa and they will get back to me in 2 weeks with a ROM file to try.
  10. used uprev orsis diagnostic system, no error code found. going to re calibrate air/fuel map see if it helps. otherwise i think elcid is right with the slipping torq converter since i havent seen any manual owners have the stutter problem

  12. I just bought uprev from overseas, will be getting it late next week. I have the same stutter problem when sitting at lights. i will datalog it and send it orsis and see if they can tell whats causing it and also a few more ponies with a tune. My current mods on my car is stillen high flow cats and megan racing cbe
  13. I got RS-R suspension which came with the car from Japan. Its quite stiff on sydney road but cornering is flat shows no sign of body roll with rather heavy 1660kg. Most ppl on the infiniti forum in the states recommend Tein SSP (value) KW V3 Variant (Expensive but one of the best)

  15. just had my front discs machined and a set of new ebc redstuff pads by A&B motorsports. Fixed the similar steering shake when applying brake around 80-100
  16. i am having the stutter problem when stationary, an uprev tune would normally fix the problem, can cost up to 1k so i have decided to live with it
  17. aftermarket plenum will increase the volume of air in the plenum chamber so you should get a better gain with FI than NA. Also porting the intake manifold might help the turbo spools sooner.

  19. thanks for the heads up Volatile, I am saving up for a stage 1.5 GTM supercharger kit instead now. it will come with the uprev flash tune, the whole package cost around $7.5k aud plus shipping. I wanna be the first to break 500hp on a v36 in Aus

  22. I see. I might get my mech to check for leaks when I get it serviced in NOV. couldn't careless about fuel usage, i am on average 16-17L per 100kmI.(that's with racing m3s and 911s) I just want reliability and safety with uprev. I see ppl leaning out on dyno with cai, headers un tuned.
  23. 2008 vq37hr models. quite common problem on myg37.com The rev drops from 1000 to 700 in a sec then goes up again at stationary. When it takes off its fine. A vaccum leak would cause shake like hell and mis-firing, i have none of that. i think its something got to do with the VVEL timing. I was hoping the uprev will give me a suitable tuned timing/afr and also a gain in power. The car is currently untuned with just bolt-ons.
  24. Thanks Alex, by the way have noticed the stutter or shiver problem with your VQ? it is very common in the US for the early models, some people got rid off it after uprev.

Hey guys i have doing some research about the uprev tune on the american g37 forums. seems to be able to get 30whp with my current mods(k&n filter, stillen hfc, megan racing cbe) there are osiris uprev standard (499usd with cable) or osiris uprev tuner (699usd with cable) the tuner version has more tuning opportunities: *Cranking Enrichment and Ignition Advance * Injector Latency * K Fuel Multiplier * Intake Temp * Calculated Load vs. RPM * Minimum Effective Injector Pulse Width which one is best to go for? i live in north sydney any reputable uprev tuners around there? Also my car has the common "shiver" at stationary i was hoping uprev tune would fix it. I have cleaned the TB and mass air flow meter which didnt fix the problem.
