  1. no replis in a day..... I'll class this cruise as a non-starter then....
  2. Ok, if it's happening, i'l call peeps my end (Bx, Orange etc) We'll come meet up at Lithgo. (Macca's or the Mort St carpark??) What time leaving syd? (So we can arrive about the right time in Lithgo) Umm... that's about it, apart from lunch*ish* plan? Fast food, or sitdown food? (can sort teh latter)
  3. If its still going on, I can sort out reservations etc for lunch, If ppl want, there's a good mix of stuff in Bx..... From the good food, to the fast food......
  4. What's the ETA to lithgo? (aka, a few of us will meet there) Either Macca's or the car park on mort st, before the cop shop?
  5. :-) see plenty of peeps running about the mount:-) (including the Ute guy that got done @ 180 on Conrod the other month.. ) For smash repair, Browning's Smash Repair have a good rep, as well as Ray Morcombes (Keppel St and the Vale Road) IIRC, there's 2 '33 GTR's in town, 1 R34 GTR, 1 34 GTT, about 6 R33 GTST's, 4+ Silvia's, 2 R32 GTST's (1 4 Door) and a good slection of RX's....
  6. Heya 32Zilla, I live in Bx, when I want an oil change etc, I go down to Adam Cope Mechanical, he's on Kircaldy St, which is Just off the Vale Road. (Turn left when you see the Devro sign, after the Farmer's Arms Pub) Adam Cope's the better in Town, good for general work, inc turbo swaps, suspension work, oils changing etc. He's honest, and pretty experienced, and happens to have a 2wd dyno :-) There is also automate, but I personally prefer Adam (Cleaner, newer workshop) For skyline specific work, (aka serious troubleshooting/tuning etc - Goto Sydney) And, i'll be one of the 'lines around with a frontmount ;-) Silver SII '33 - ZebHax
  7. Hehe, that's always fun :-) I'll see what we're upto on Sunday - what sort of times to ppl appear at the spit? Otherwise, i'll have a run about on Sat.....
  8. Tnaks for the replies peeps! I'll see if I can make it to the HillClimb, to see peeps! Greets to the blue '32 GTST I saw coming into Brizzie, (GTS32T IIRC) - Hope the mud falling off my car didn't hit you! (The mud was from a 'Short Cut' coming from Bathurst, through Angus Meat Land! ) On the drive over, no 'line's for 950Km, then about 15 of the dammed things ;-)
  9. As i'm up from Bathurst, that weekend, I thought i'd check!! (Staying in Brizzie for the w/end - Leaving Bx on Wed morning) Cheers, Zeb

    Too Low?

Liz, you know me too well :-p I'll give him a buzz later..... Need to get a load of you up for a BX cruise sometime :-) It's a bit boring around atm :-) Although, I'm just planning a Brizzie run sometime soon.

    Too Low?

Liz, saw adam just the other day - he's very good, missing the 'lines...... (although he had fun with a porsche vs his Sportivo on the mount ;-) )

    Too Low?

true, that's probably about 70 *ish* :-) *How* do you get into most fuel stations without breaking something?
  13. I think it's a *little* low on the front.......... What do ppl think? (not my car) :-D
  14. Majanal, That's awesome news!! You must be stoked! Keep up the good work!
  15. Heya, Does anyone know where I can get the front tie bar brushes, and roughly how much they'll be? They're for a R33 GTST SII, 1996 (Car failed pink slip because of it - rego due VERY soon) Cheers!!
  16. Slo_32 - thanks, it probably blows an idea out of the water..... Cheers Sky34
  17. yep, in the UK, I was taught that : Do not stop for animals. If you cause an accident by trying to avoid animals (cats, birds etc) - then that accident is YOUR fault. Anyone hitting you, if you put the anchor's on, is NOT at fault. IIRC this is also in the UK's Highway Code (The road rules book for L plater's) This is in both the Police & Insurance Eyes. Of course this is not taking into account for 6ft high Roo's, wombats, cows etc.
  18. Hey all, Apart from the pinouts, what's the difference between a R33 GTST and R34 GTT ECU ? If the pinouts were the same, would a R34 GTT ECU be able to run a R33 SII RB25 & anciliaries? It was just an odd thought that popped into my twisted mind the other evening....
  19. That's interesting, as the other half did hear me coming to pick her up about 4/6 blocks away, over a big ass hill :-D But it's bathurst, so I guess it doesn't count too much. Mine does rattle the windows if i'm within 20M of the house.... at a guess, it's more than 90db... edit - Does have cat, cannon, etc.. 3"
  20. Silly question time again.... since swapping back to the Std ECU from the mine's, i've noticed a few things and was after some answers! The car is a R33 SII, '96. T3/4 Hybrid Turbo, 17/255's on the rear (Yokie Advan's) - Currently running at 12 psi boost, FMIC, Boxed Pod, Fuel reg. Last dyno - 197rwkw, with the mines, running quite rich. Ughknown exactly what the turbo is, will know next major service, and i'll have it out. Low mount, with what looks like a nissan badged actuator (goldish coloured) The Mine's ECU seems to have the following : No Speed Cut, Way better tune, Different Boost control, Tuned for Japanese fuel. My 'Standard ECU' - It looks standard, doesn't look like it's ever been opened, but... Tame feeling at WOT (aka no major loss of grip in 1st, 2nd etc) Runs rich, Different boost control to the mine's (will explain in a bit) NO SPEED CUT - Checked on private roads of course. Tuned for fuel ;-) As i'm missing the feel of the mines ECU, time to see if I can get it to stop pinging :-) After my 100k service, I was getting a very slight pinging at WOT, if the fuel being used wasn't much cop, but this has gotten worse over time, leading me to swapping back to the standard ECU - Pinging has dissapeared with the Std ECU. No pinging before the 100k, at all. After speaking to the helpful ppl from Powerplay, their general advice was changing fuel pump, and then I *should* be able to go back to the mine's, after changing the crank angle sensor position, to retard? the timing. does anyone have any good instructions for changing the CAS? I'm guessing it's very simple, but it's always worth an ask :-) Boost control differences : Std ECU - go WOT at 80-100km/h in 5th, boost builds, car goes (albeit slowly) - until in powerband. (at max boost) Mine's - go WOT at 80-100km/h in 5th, all boost is lost, with sounds like a slow rasberry, car judders a lot... drop to 4th, or 3rd, holds the boost fine, off like a rocket. I have a turbosmart manual boost control, aka the red tee, with the click control. the stock solenoid has been bypassed. Is the mine's releasing the boost through the actuator? - Is it meant to do that? I think that's it for the mo, cheers, Zeb
  21. It sounds like it could be the battery, as I has the same problems..... I'd find that when it was dying, you'd hear a couple of clicks, and the dash lights would dim, or go out... Add a jumpstarter (battery etc) and she'd start fine... After checking my battery, some japanese battery >4 years old, 4 cells were indicating bad... Went and got a new batt with fitting for $100.(Higher capacity too) The Batt I got was a MF55B24L - It didn't fit the battery tray as it is larger (I wanted bigger) - But bolts in quite nicley.
  22. That stagea might even convice the mrs that they're not ugly, pimped up Volvo's!! Very, Very nice!
  23. well, was good to meet a few of you guys on Sunday :-)
