  1. Nice edit...but not quick enough Seriously though, where do you get a picture like that Taz? You certainly pulled it up pretty quickly
  2. Why can I never get a bite out of you? You wanna have sex with me don't you?
  3. And just to clear up what I believe Taz is getting at: I don't give two flying rats arses who sells you a clutch, installs your clutch or whatever....I am here for advice only, not to pick up work. I fit around 30 or so clutches a year to Skylines and silvias and have done for the last 6 years. Just telling you how it is. All my cars have had button clutches fitted so I know what it's like to drive them. I have sold and fitted many to others and can tell you it's hard enough satisfying people with a 6puk clutch (which is AT LEAST twice as easy to drive than a 3puk) when they have never driven on them before. There is only two reasons for needing to go button in the first place. 1: The car makes more than 300rwkw 2: Drifting

  5. I just assumed from the car you drive. Oops did I say that out loud
  6. I've got 5 minutes spare if you want some lessons. Hmm, on second thought, might need a decade.
  7. Then a 3puk clutch is a poor choice. Whoever advised you on this needs educating. You may end up liking it but it is EXTREMELY harsh on driveline stuff. Say goodbye do diff, gearbox and universal joints. You'll jolt your neck every time you take off but it'll kick nicely for drifting. But then again, so will a 5 or 6 puk button clutch but it won't be as hard on everything. 3 puk should be good to hold 350+rwkw, 6puk at 300rwkw and 5puk at 350rwkw. So basically the wrong clutch for the job Plus when the clutch wears out you will need a new flywheel. Because from all the clutch riding you are going to be doing while you drive it on the street, it will machine a large deep groove in the flywheel.
  8. Have you ever driven on a 3 puk button clutch before? What is the car being used for? And how much power does it make/will it be making? Racist much?
  9. You are easily pleased then. f**ked if I'd pay over $1000 for a second hand POS clutch that may or may not explode at any time. Can build and sell retail the EXACT same thing for half the price using all new parts. Astro: And 3 puk? WTF were you thinking? I hope you don't care about ya neck
  10. WTF? You ARE weird. Astro posted the picture of the underside of the S13...the gold one IS a 240. Your post came after the S13...my mistake.
  11. What has that got to do with anything? The car in the picture is an S13 that lives in Western Australia
  12. Yeah and the backing plate is mounted on rubber inserts so it could be off too. And the lower timing cover could be off as well as it's in rubber washers too. You should go and buy all new parts and fit them, that way you can find out that you are making a huge deal over nothing and none of it will matter when the engine is running. Also, take the shot of the cam gear from front on, not at an angle. Make sure it's parallel. Taking shots from an angle distorts the ability to view it for every degree it's off. Considering you are chasing 2-3 degrees then this is very important
  13. What are you trying to achieve? That would possibly push the pushrod out of the slave cylinder
  14. I would like to add that the high revving sound of the RACE SPEC engine in SKAIFE'S CAR was actually HIGH REVVING. The only things you need to achieve that sound is long inlet and exhaust runners to put your torque curve into the upper rev limits and a cylinder head that can flow. Race Spec engines had larger valves from memory and obviously were touched up on the port side to flow better. 20's rev high anyway, I used to rev mine to 9k every day with a standard cylinder head and most people who knew it would tell you it sounded like the car wanted to swallow up other cars on the road. If it's the sound you are after, then you won't be able to road drive it. Skaife's car had a very short system so it's not going to be something you could use unfortunately. You could get 3/4 of the way there though.
  15. It's not hard to make a 20 go hard. Have done it many times. Most people think you need to ditch them but they have a heap of potential.
  16. I wanted to go there to check it out but when I found out they are playing dirty tactics to run Superbutcher out of town, I refuse to go there on principle. They have opened up stores next door to every other Superbutcher and guide traffic into their driveway before it gets a couple of doors down. I'm all for a good cut of meat but that's just nasty. Makes it taste not so good IMO

  18. Try a centre punch on the outer edge of the stud and rotate it. Don't use heat as you can damage/distort the surface of the block and it has to remain perfectly level. Also, don't use an easy out that is too big for the hole you have drilled as it will actually push the threads out against the block threads tighter.
  19. No, take a half a step back, focus the camera and take the shot of one cam at a time I need to see the profile of the lobe from a perfect end shot, not at a slight angle.
  20. Yeah probably retail. URAS and I would never pay retail
