So if I get pulled over by a cop and he looks like he wants to give me a defect for under bonnet stuff I can say no I'm not going to open the bonnet? With all this stuff coming out and being enforced it makes me glad I've got an aussie daily driver.

The diff shouldn't have anything to do with hicas. It is driven by the speedo. I assume the abs sensor is fitted to the diff. I'm not too sure but sounds like it would need a different diff housing for that.

Some guys use a chain or strap for the second bonnet restraint. Also make sure your fire extinguisher has a metal strap not plastic so it doesn't melt. It's all in the Supp regs.

Cool thanks man. I'll probably get a cage sometime in the future but I think for this event I'll stick with the standard belt. I front tow hook on my car is way back behind the bumper. Can't they just tow me out backwards? haha. I have one on the back. Might mount one in the engine bay so I can lift the bonnet for the attachment.

I'm just checking the suppentary regs to make sure my car is ok for this event. I just want to get some confirmation about the seat belts. The type C lap sash is all I need right? So the standard belt in the car? Can somebody please confirm. I should probably think about a full harness anyway. If I do get one are there particular ones you guys would recommend or a good place to get em? Revolution Racegear? Thanks guys.

NSW roads are heaps worse in my opinion. Drivers not keeping left is definitely a huge problem here in vic. I grew up in germany where the autobahn has clear rules. If you aren't going really fast and you are in the fast lane then expect a BMW or Merc to come up your arse at 220-250k/h. They go through a very extensive driver testing to get your licence. Should do that here. Might actually help as opposed to fines. Or maybe use the fines to put people through driver education.
