  1. Had the GTR back at the drags last night got a personal best in before the radiator decided to pack it in went [email protected] with a 1.7 60ft. Car is currently making 270rwkw on unigroups dyno in Sydney . My question is that to me the trap speed seems abit low for this power level specially after reading about other r32 GTR's with similiar power going 117mph plus though the top end ?. r/t .549 60' 1.784 330' 5.077 660' 7.837 mph 91.48 1000' 10.138 ET 12.104 MPH 113.99 k/mh 183.45 Don't know the cars exact race weight at the time. It's a r32 GTR vspec N1 had about half a tank of fuel and rear plus passanger seats removed. The pass seemed pretty clean didn't miss any changes and shifted at about the right rpms. What do you guys reckon?.
  2. Pattern seems to be just about worn away now . I don't think the pattern is soppose to be permanent maybe a method used to unglaze pads but not sure.
  3. Only got one run on wednesday night came up with a 12.3@111mph whole front splash tray came loose and dragged under the front from about half track on . By the time we got it back to the pits and removed it the rain had started coming down. Not impressed with the trap speed but putting it down to the gravel tray for now . Car made 270rwkw on unigroup's dyno the week before would have to think with this power should be able to trap about 115-117mph?. Might head down next meet and try again hopefully no rain this time.
  4. Finally got out there last night only got to have one run due to the rain coming down . First and only run was 12.3@111mph with the whole front splash tray bent down and dragging the track from about halfway. Little dissapointed with the trap speed but putting it down to the gravel tray for now . Car made 275rwkw at unigroup the week before I would say this power should be good enough to trap 115-117mph ??? what do you guys think.
  5. Got myself a set of winmax pads from bel performance at Homebush . Should have done this earlier as it solved the problem all together would point anyone with noisy GTR brembo's towards getting a set of these pads.
  6. Is it missing only underload or all the time?. If it's missing underload and mainly after it gets hot you might be looking at a faulty CAS(crank angle sensor). If it's missing even when free reving out of gear you may have one or two dirty AFM's that need cleaning or a shot. What plugs are you running and at what gap?.
  7. I'd probably be willing to put my hand up as long as I don't have to dress up lol.
  8. No haven't had a run yet but I'm itching to get out there. Probably be looking to run in the next few weeks.
  9. Two rb26 coil packs perfect condition were used to narrow down a missing prob in my GTR. Will fit rb20 and 25. Paid $160 from just jap after $70 for the pair. sms 041 0643320
  10. bit of a dissapointing night from a spectators point of view . Nice to meet you though Blitz even though our talk was short nice times for a stock GTR . I can't wait to get out there myself and will be in the next few weeks after I pump the tune up abit.
  11. I'm after two RB20 air flow meters in good working condition .If you have either one or two send an sms to 041 0643320 with your price. cheers Brett
  12. yeh car has a PFC so meters have to stay . If RB20's are good enough then I'll purchase a pair of them would imagine they would be a fraction of the price?
  13. My Air flow meters on the GTR are stock units and would imagine that they are at there very limit in the cars current state. Will be searching for more power soon so will have to upgrade. I'm looking for something that will support up to 600hp at the engine would rb20 or 25 meters be up to the job or should I really just be looking to install z32's? cheers Brett
  14. went and bought a couple of coil packs from just jap which cost me $80 each to try and narrow down a missing problem with my GTR that turned out to be fuel related. Have these two coils which I pulled out of my car which are in excellent working order chasing $50 each. sms 041 0643320 cheers Brett
  15. pads in there at the moment at lucas pads . The pads do have backing plates but they aren't attached to the pads themselves.
  16. track cars would be using a harder compound then a street car also I soppose . Mine are fine when cold but once the brakes warm up they squeel like you wouldn't believe when coming to a slow stop ,under hard braking there fine. A few people have told me just to live with it cause it's what they do. I don't believe these cars would have rolled off the showroom floor with such noisy brakes.
  17. Hey ned How much did the pads set you back ?, if they don't squeel will go and get a set straight away. It seems as only my fronts squeel becuase when I tried the copper grease I only applied to the front and it stopped the squeeling but not for very long.
  18. After having the discs machined on my vspec r32 gtr to solve brake squeeling problem it hasn't really helped the situtation at all . Pads that are currently in the car are of a soft compound and I've also tried sanding them down . Sort of at a dead end to this problem it's a really loud annoying squeel and it has to go. A few people have told me that I should just put up with it cause it's what brembo's do but I can't imagine this car rolling off the showroom floor with squeeling brakes like this what do you guys think?. Basically I've machined discs , applied copper grease, sanded the pads down , made sure that the backing shims are in place only other thing now is to change the pads , could I order factory pads from nissan?.
  19. fixed my prob turns out was just a bad batch of fuel car pulls nice and clean now.
  20. it's not an issue of the fuel system maxing out as this problem has only occured recently . I'm also thinking either coil packs or cam angle sensor. I'll take the car for a run later to see if it does it when it's cold .
  21. fuel supply seems to be ok it's a bosh intank pump with denso injectors and hks fuel rail. Another thing is the miss only happens under load , reving in netural it will rev clean.
  22. My GTR is missing at about 4,500-5,000rpms pretty badly so bad infact that I lift off straight away when it happens . Pulled plugs out they were NGK BCPR6EY 11 (11 meaning 1.1m gap) . I thaught this was the problem so replaced with a new set of the same plug but gapped at 0.8m but still has the same missing problem. I've also tried disconnecting a coil pack at a time while the car is running to see if the idle didn't change when one of them was disconnected but as each one was unplugged the idle dropped they seemed to be all ok. The car is fitted with z32 air flow meters , do these have problems like the standered units would it be worth my while to take them out and clean them with contact cleaner ?. Car is going to the mechanic next week but just interested to know what else could be causing my problem?. The car has a few bolt on mods including 2530's , PFC , z32 airflow meters like stated .
  23. Turns out that either my cam angle sensor or crank angle sensor is faulty in my GTR . What are these sensor's worth can I buy them new from nissan or better off buying second hand from somewere??.
