  1. It's OK - you have a bed - we have an option to chuck an extra bed in the lounge rooms of the aportments (for an additional price) so a couple of extras wont kill us - if we get a few more people though I will look at booking an additional room.
  2. Might be worth posting this in the Vic Section..... Went to the last Drift Day at Morwell - although very wet, was a great day.
  3. LOL - I know they are different Troy's - YLWGTR2 (troy) is coming to Winton as well apparently and we were trying to find out if he wanted accommodation as well - but if he's fixing your gearbox then I guess he won't be needing it. As if you'd let Roy near your gearbox!!!!
  4. so.... im assuming if Troy is pulling your gearbox out on Saturday night then he doesn't need accommodation either??? - (our question is answered Adz)
  5. PMSL - I was gunna say the same thing???
  6. James told me yesterday that he is driving up on Sunday morning - but if you know different I can add him on...
  7. OK - seeing as the Vic Event section does not look like its coming back anytime soon and we have a weekend to organise. Here it is again: WINTON FUN DAY DETAILS - Sunday 19 December 2004 Cost: $20 Time: Gates open at 8am. Track opens 9:30 - 5 What you need: A car (road registered- Doesn't need to be race prepared, any car will do) A Helmet (any Road approved helmet is fine -motor bike/car/track/postie, etc) Full length fire resistant clothing. ie: Cotton long sleave top/shirt, Jeans. Full cover footing. Note: No Cams Liscense required. Session Times: Each session is for 30 minutes. Alternating between: 1 session with 1 passenger 1 session without. It is not timed, so there is no pressure. ACCOMMODATION I have booked us 3 apartments at the Park View Motor Inn, 56 Ryley Street, Wangaratta. Each apartment cost $145/night for 5 people and each apartment has 3 singles and 1 double bed. Park View has a BBQ, Pool, Off-street Parking, and a huge selection of crappy DVD's. People who need accommodation: Scotsman (Chris) & 1 Bec Woz Chrisman (Scott) &1 Pete Roy (Troy) Al & 1 deorbit (Shivam) AdzMax (Adz) & Dee rs73 (Rintaro) Now I know that I have forgotten some people off this list - apologies - please yell out if you need accommodation and I have forgotten you - or if anyone else can remember who was on the list tell me please. PAYMENT OPTIONS For the accomodation Chris (aka. Scotsman) was kind enough to place his credit card down as the deposit to secure the rooms. It works out to be $30/Person for the night. Rather than stufing around when we get up there, with 15 people standing in the office and a heap of loose change/big notes you have two options: 1. Direct Deposit $30 into Chris's account and he'll chuck it all on credit. Account details: 063245 00688564 - Mr Christopher R Thomson Please use your forum name as a description if using Netbanking, and PM me once you sent the money. If paying for two or three please indicate. OR 2. Make sure you have $30 cash to hand to Chris when we get there and he can just walk straight in there and get it sorted. This will mean we can get on with the beer and pool. 35 degrees is forecast for Saturday. Cheers Chris. 0418390299 MEET POINTS *Saturday - second BP (Cambelfield) on the Hume Hwy, at 12:30pm leaving at 1:00pm sharp (that means no later) *Sunday morning - meet at the Mobil / Macca's just before the start of the Hume at 7:00am. If the events section is not back up soon - another WINTON thread will be created early this week to provide all the details again.
  9. that is so true anyways - RACV - all import insurance has to get refferred to the underwriters who then decide if they will take it on or not. it is completely a case by case basis (different for each person/car) - BUT IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO INSURE SKYLINES!! keep trying them - when you do get a quote they are much cheaper than anywhere else.
  10. I agree - read the Prestige Site - all the answers are there.
  11. I told James yesterday that he hadn't put a time on this thread.
  12. Bring her.......other girls will definately be in attendance.
  13. I have never been so bored at work.............
  14. shhh - dont encourage him
  15. PMSL Shiv - yep can confirm this place is NOT a background setting for a 1960's low grade porn film Unfortunately there is also NOT a shoe-shiner (dammit)
  16. OK guys/gals after some searching to try and get us a good price on accommodation I found that Wang and Bennalla are both fairly busy on the 18th/19th December. I used my work contact and I can confirm that I have booked us accommodation at the Parkview Motor Inn, 56 Ryley Street, Wangaratta (located within walking distance to pubs/restaurants/bottle shops etc. on the main street) We have got 3 x 2 bedroom apartments @ $145/night for 5 people. Each of the 3 apartments has 3 single beds and 1 queen bed. There is a BBQ, a Pool and a crappy selection of DVD's.
  17. PMSL - is there one in Benella??? - if not we'll just have to make our own Magharitas
  18. As above. Have fun though - and take lots of pics.
  19. hey Rob you missed it, it was on the 27th - this weekend just gone
  20. Agreed! Not just young drivers can get behind the wheel of a high powered car and mess it up - anyone can - you could be a 36 yr old driving a turbo for the first time and have a major accident - i think driver training and a better licensing system is a far better idea than restrictions
  21. Well no doubt NS will be in a sorry state this morning, with approx 20 of their cars being defected on last nights cruise at the 2nd meet point - hopefully no one from here was unlucky enough to get done. We managed to meet up with 4 other NS guys and 1 other SAU car and still went on the cruise with just 6 cars - it was good - the roads were pretty much the same as the Warburton Cruise SAU orgainsed last month. Nice twisty roads, good weather and a small number of cars not attracting too much attention made for a great cruise.
  22. Awful news - condolances to family and friends. My thoughts are with you.
  23. yeah it would have been a Melbourne Car Cruise - hope you steered clear, these cruises tend to attract the boys in blue
  24. hahahaha - well you shouldnt have drunk so much on Saturday night should you Ash????
  25. Yeah, if your the first car out of the pits..........
