  1. Hey guys, first of all I'm going to clear something up. I have a GTS-4 and I have a spare RB20DET AWD motor. I'm not interested in a 25 and I don't want to go 26 yet until I'm ready to get 400kws out of the car. + The starting purchase cost is about the budget I have to rebuild this 20. At this stage in time, I'm aiming for over 200 to keep me with a happy mix between street and track out of the standard 20. Now, I've searched a bit and have found a few topics, none of which have answered my questions. My understanding is I'll need a 26 crank and rods with 4AG-ZE pistons. Which bearings do I need to use with this combo? What diametre are the 4AG pistons? If they're larger, how much needs machining out of the bore? Do the oil galleries line up? What compression ratio does this leave me with? And is this okay for turbo (VG30)? What does the stroke become with the 26 crank and rods? Do the RB20 main caps fit the 26 crank? Do I need to change anything in the top end? Do I need an aftermarket ECU or is Nisstune okay for this? I'm sure I've forgotten something, but if anyone could shed some light on this topic it would be much appreciated. I wouldn't mind having the first AWD RB24 (That I know of. Feel free to correct me to save further embarrassment). Cheers, Cameron.
  2. As in it spaces out your standard non brembo caliper 22mm, accommodating for the larger diameter GTR disc. I don't think a caliper spacer would be affected by a disc suiting brembo calipers.
  3. I think maybe those spacers are for a non brembo caliper to run a brembo caliper size disc.
  4. Unfortunately, it's not mine. I keep it as my sig for constant motivation to get my car looking good. Cheers bro, will do. Just thought this area had more traffic.
  5. Hey all. I'm after a set of front GTR Brembos. Any condition is fine. Don't need/want pads or rotors. Mounting bolts are a plus but not necesary. Will happily pay postage. I'm located in Gulfview Heights SA. Cheers, Cameron.
  6. Hey guys, after a set of front calipers. Don't want/ need pads or rotors. Any condition is fine Will pay postage Mounting bolts a plus but not necesary. I'm in Gulfview Heights, SA. Feel free to call/ message me on 0422248143. Cheers, Cameron.
  7. Hey all, I'm after a set of GTR front brembos to suit 324mm rotors. Don't need/ want pads or rotors, but mounting bolts would be a plus although not necesary. Any condition is acceptable as they'll get a rebuild anyway unless receipts are shown. Feel free to message/ call me on 0422248143. Located in Gulfview Heights, SA. Will happily pay for postage. Cheers, Cameron.
  8. Could be as simple as a blown fuse/ no fuse for the AWD system, although I'm unsure if that also means the gauge will read nothing as I haven't looked at the gauge when having a blown fuse.
  9. x1000000 for AM performance Andrew's work is incredible.
  10. Go to CBC I got new wheel bearings, seals and snap rings for around the $400 mark. Also made a bearing/ seal press tool to get them in square and without damaging them. If you want to cover the postage cost to SA, I'll do it alot cheaper than a mechanic for a fellow 1989 r32 GTS-4 owner
  11. So do GTRs (32 V spec, 33 and 34) use a BM50 or BM57 BMC? Or something different again?
  12. I haven't bought any calipers or master yet, as the main reason for this post was to find out what options I have for a master if I went with my initial choice of caliper. The brakes aren't "shit", but there is no way I'll get the times I want around the track on standard brakes. + If I'm going to use a bigger rotor, My caliper will need to be re-fit and it's easier to get a better radial mount that will withstand more punishment whilst doing so. I currently have ABS, but pull the fuse for track use and I'm now at the stage of removal of the unit itself. I'm currently up to about 3 pages of calculations in working out and I'm ready to pull my hair out haha. But so far, I think I'm heading in the right direction. Will post up my findings once completed to hopefully give a better insight of the method behind my madness.
  13. I have a BM50 Master. I decided on the 1.75" (44.4mm) piston diametre, because my calipers standard are 40.4mm and I personally find them rubbish for track use. And using these calipers because they, being radial mount, allow me to run any size disc.
  14. Damn! That's my birthday weekend and I'll be up on the Yorke Peninsula, otherwise I'd come down.
  15. Part numbers are: Calipers 120-8071-L 120-8071-R Discs 160-7742 160-7743 Will also be making custom hats to suit. Can be used for any caliper with the same mounting method, and any size disc as the design for the bracket allows the caliper to be mounted as close or as far away as you'd like via spacers. Intially this was to save weight but we then altered the design to serve another purpose.
  16. Yeah, I understand. Cheers. Will check it out tomorrow.
  17. First of all, I'm at work and on break so I don't have time to read every post in this thread. Second of all, I'm currently in the middle of upgrading my brakes to 4 pot wilwoods with 4x1.75" pistons and running a 325mm rotor. My old man has just finished mounting these exact calipers to an rx4 and is adapting the mount to suit my GTS-4 (I believe the knuckles are the same as a GTR?) Can definitely make up more with some EOI beforehand.
  18. I tried to google what master cylinder I had, but there's not a great deal of info on GTS-4s anywhere. Will BMxx be stamped on the BMC somewhere I can check? Although I could google the bore sizes of the master, it still leaves my initial question un-answered. Just because it's an available option, doesn't mean it's better than something else out there. I was more so after opinions, advice and feedback on what masters people have used and how they rate them.
  19. Has anyone found/ used a 1 1/16" bolt on BMC?
  20. 325mm rotors. What's the bore size of BM44 and BM50?
  21. Hey guys I'm currently upgrading my front brakes to 4 pot wilwoods with 1.75" piston diametre and I don't think the standard master will cut it so I need an upgrade. What do people normally upgrade to and what are the pro's and cons of the master? Car is a 1989 GTS-4 Skyline with an RB20DET
  22. If I had the cash, they'd be on the way to my house. Unfortunately I'm broke as f**k, and can only afford Wilwoods.
  23. I also just used ARP WRX studs on my GTS-4 hubs. Fit straight in, but I used a solid tube with a hole drilled in the middle for the hub to sit on/ stud to sit in, so they pressed in straight. (I was using a hydraulic press rather than the tightening nut procedure). I have pics somewhere, let me know if you want to see them.
