  1. I bought my harness through wiring specialties. Looks to be the same one to be honest and so far it's performed well.
  2. Slightly off topic, but might help you get your kit faster.. I'll take the 33 brakes off you. Been looking for a set for my 32 before it hits the track at Nationals.
  3. If that's all I'll just make an adapter plate.
  4. That would be the dream. What's required to fit them?
  5. What do you need done? Do you have a proper diagram and measurements of the item? My old man runs CNC machines in our shed (mill and lathe) and is used by alot of the racers down here because he's cheaper than commercial places (less overheads) and very knowledgable on the parts he uses/ deals with. I am in SA though..
  6. Depending how simple you want to go you could do something as easy as a slip on spacer that locates to the hub. Slightly more technical than that would be a bolt on spacer. Realistically they should have tolerances but shouldn't be too much of an issue if it's just teaching you to use the machine. Still requires some measuring and tool paths.
  7. I highly rate that! I'm thinking modding the standard plenum is the way to go. Will have a good look at it this weekend and hopefully come up with something.
  8. After speaking to an engine builder and tuner, he's tuned plenty of RB20s with a FFP and has never seen a loss in power. The shorter runner length changes where the torque curve comes in the rev range but doesn't go backwards in power. He actually had an a31 cefiro with a 20 and greddy FFP almost ready for the dyno and is going to keep me updated with the results. He also says the car becomes alot more responsive with the shorter length of piping and generates less turbo lag. On the other hand, he said he has seen some after market plenums that have provided a very minimal difference, but still rates them due to the responsiveness, cleaner engine bay and accessibility. I then went and got a second opinion from a very knowledgeable source who confirmed that there's no way I'll be going backwards. Fitting it won't be an issue as I have the manifold off currently which is why I decided to research if FFP were better in the first place. Battery was going in the boot anyway and the cars getting a tune because I changed the turbo, exhaust and air flow metre.
  9. That's definitely going to be plan B, but it's only solving one problem.. I'm still going to do more research until I can completely rule out a forward facing, then I will retreat to Plan B. I make money to spend it, and it's not really that much. I see it as more of a gain than a waste so I'm happy to justify a few hundred on a new plenum if it makes my life easier down the track. Also, I don't want another turbo or any other mods to this engine along those lines. I'm keeping the car the way it is (to a certain extent) so I can enter it in the AS class for nationals and still have a car that's happy to be street driven. My extra cash goes into the track car which is where I want the power.
  10. Does that mean if I get an aftermarket plenum that bolts to my standard runners I won't lose torque? Is it possible to modify the standard plenum?
  11. Just realised my link didn't paste. This was the plenum I was look at. http://www.shop.cartel-aus.com/Milano-Forward-Facing-Intake-Manifold-FFPRB.htm
  12. This was one of the plenums that caught my eye as it looks relatively standard to someone (ie: a cop) who doesn't know much about plenums and would only be looking for shiny chrome. Anyone on here used it and has some feedback?
  13. Hey guys, I really want to run a forward facing (not even for the performance gain, but for the fact that changing plugs and setting timing become a harder task with the piping running it's current course). Just wondering who has used what plenum? and a link to purchase. Pro's and cons of said plenum? What you've had to move in the engine bay to run the plenum? Have you had to modify the plenum itself to fit? If the throttle cable didn't reach, which cable did you use? Did the tps wiring reach or did it need extending? Any other valuable information is appreciated. Cheers, Cameron.
  14. Would you happen to know if the GTS-T power steering system will fit straight into my gts-4? If so, is the power steering system 100% complete and would you be willing to post to SA at my expense?
  15. Yeah, I had the pump off and everything to try and find it.. No luck. Can anyone confirm this? I'm getting to the stage of needing to replace it urgently. Going through a bottle of power steering fluid a week and my driveway is stained to shit haha.
  16. So, I'm currently doing the GTR front end on my 32 GTS4 and the last piece of my puzzle is the GTR front bar and I'd like one without n1 vents but I've seen some come up for sale with the n1 vents. I'm just wondering if it's possible to fill them in with something or plastic weld some more plastic in or if anyone's done this using a different method. Cheers.
  17. Velos. Hands down one of the best seats for track application in the country. I have them in my track car and my skyline.
  18. Hey guys, when I bought my gts4 it had an a31 cefiro air flow meter dodgily wired in. Long story short, it broke and I want to replace it with a standard item again as I got one from a mate for nothing. Only thing is, the wiring from the plug he gave me does not match the wiring in my loom.. I'm assuming it doesn't matter on colours as long as they're wired in correctly, but I can't find anything to tell me which wire is which. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or picture of their afm wiring? Cheers.
  19. You need: Bonnet Bonnet Latch Grille Front bar and Reo. It will all bolt straight up. (I'm halfway through doing mine on my 4 door)
  20. Ah yeah, I forgot to mention that it was the front CVs I'm having the issues with. I'm not sure of any front camber. The rear has alot of rear camber, close to 5 degrees, but there's nothing dog balls obvious about the front. The car's up on stands at the moment cause it's getting some love, but i'll get pics asap.
  21. Do the power steering systems differ in any way, shape or form between r32 gts-t and gts-4? I have 2 power steering leaks (One from somewhere near the resevoir and one down on the rack) and I'm not entirely sure what do to in the way of replacing it cause I can't find anything specific to GTS-4. Would a gtr system work or is that too much dicking around?
  22. That's plan B. I like how the car sits, but I don't like breaking the CVs. So I was trying to find a solution so I can have both, but at this stage raising the car looks like the only way to get them to last longer. Will they still break if I have it in RWD mode most of the time?
