  1. I have used the guide. My surround sits nicely behind the fascia, can post a pic up when I go home for lunch. When I first bought the car the owner had just upgraded from the stock stereo and had the surround on the outside, it looked like crap. I sold that one and upgraded to a Nakamichi. As for the Din pocket, I went to an Audio store and asked if they had something that would fit, ironically they had fitted a system to a brand new Nissan Navara earlier and gave it to me for $5. Perhaps you could try asking around. Edit: Here you go. Please excuse the layer of dust on my interior
  2. The current range of RDA/EBC Brakes is known as the "turbo groove" which uses curved slots and a dimple design rather than cross drilling. According to EBC using the dimple eliminates tiny hairline cracks that can form with cross drilled brakes. I would like to buy some for my R33 GTST where's the best place and for how much?
  3. No worries fry. Actually the sub i've used is a 12" and the grille can be pretty much purchased from any audio store for around $10? From memory mine came from Jay Car. I reckon a 10" Rockford sub would suit a skyline nicely, that is unless you're going for SPL. My Uncle actually has a 8" rockford fosgate sub in a current model Nissan Patrol and I was amazed how well it went, definately plenty of punch. So a 10" is something that I would probably opt for next time. The rough volume of my enclosure (I've used MDF by the way) would be around .6ft3 but the recommended size is 1.07ft3 for my sub so yet another reason I would be better off with a 10"
  4. thirtytwo, I notice your profile says wtb 92 r32. Do you own a car yet? Also, as other have said there are many other brands to consider, some which are not only better, but also cheaper. FHRX knows what he is talking about, I would suggest talking to him as he has installed many high end systems and does not compromise on quality. Another thing to consider when installing a system is your taste in music, many brands cater for different tastes. I know for one, Vibe caters for a more acoustic sound in music, and leans towards the Sq side of things. On the other hand Digital Designs is more of a SPL brand and sounds like it may be more suited to your taste if you would like a loud system.
  5. There you go fry. I have just used velcro on the bottom to secure it along with couple of banana plugs on the back for the wires. It can all be removed if I need space for luggage etc. As the box is slightly angled back by sub has never moved or fallen over once, even after spirited driving. Also when I bought my carpet I asket for 1mtr, turns out 1 mtr is a hell of alot so I had enough to re-do my boot liner as well. Also if you want to make an amp bracket similar to mine you can use this drawing: Download Drawing Just make sure your size amp will fit in the same place as mine first then take the drawing to a sheetmetal place.
  6. No worries mate. Also, in answer to this question, you are "generally" better off going with a slightly larger amp and using your gain adjustment to turn down the power to your speakers. As a rough guide to do this you would turn your gain settings all the way down and turn your head unit volume 3/4 of the way up whilst playing cd you feel would suit your most often played genre of music. Becasue your gain is all the way down you shouldnt hear anything coming from your speakers (turn off or unplug any speaker running directly off your h/u) You then turn your gain adjustment up slowly listening for any signs of distortion in the speaker. As soon as you hear distortion turn your gain back a little. That is a common way of tuning your speakers. for more information i'd suggest visiting the car audio australia forums
  7. Alloys you can buy from tempe
  8. Yes, because the head unit does not run at 4 x 50 RMS. The power figure they give you is peak power.
  9. Only selected Autobahn stores apparently. And I dont live near one Thats why online would probably be easiest.
  10. Have seen some tests done on this and would like to get hold of some. Can someone tell me where to buy Royal Purple Online?? I cant get it in my area?
  11. I was quite suprised, I went in there expecting to feel violently ill after 10 or so minutes having seen the amount of rubbish in the first two.... but I didnt! It actually had a pretty good story line and some pretty nice cars. I'm sure alot of ford fan's would be choking on the RB26 going into the mustang though...
  12. Put me down in your next GB for a 3" catco metal cat to suit R33 GTST
  13. Might possibly be heavy on fuel (run richer to avoid detonation) and outweigh the advantage of saving a few dollars per tank. I guess see how it goes then make up your mind
  14. I really hope so, because I dont see the current V35 being a huge winner at the moment.
  15. Quite like it, much better than any of the prototypes
  16. Just wondering if there will be a second group buy? I wont be able to get in intime for this one
  17. Just found out that remus also do a twin outlet muffler. My mate who has an SS is looking for an exhaust at the moment and has a heap of catalogues.
  18. Wow, is the plastic on the passenger seat still there from factory?
  19. purchased a few things from them I think it took around 3 weeks from memory. greenline.jp is another good place
  20. My passenger side seat rail has become rather loose. Is there any way to fix it? I took the seat out and noticed that it uses a roller and two ball bearings which have worn into the rail. Cant seem to work out how it van be repaired... EDIT: For R33 GTST
  21. yep, there was a set of thse for sale in the for sale section a while back. Its like the one on the wiper stalk to activate the rear wiper, but on the indicator if that helps?
  22. Use the pass through outlets on the amp, wont sacrafice signal strenth then
