  1. The story was wrapped up, but the world has a lot left in it to write more stories about.
  2. I'm still playing through New Game+, because I want 100% on this. Looking forward to Survivor once I've unlocked everything fully, but... with quite a bit of hesitation lol.
  3. I just finished Single Player. Multi is alright but I tend to get butt-raped pretty hard. I've never had a game pull me in with emotion and attachment as well as this did. Honestly the greatest game I've ever played, and I've been gaming for almost 20 years. Honestly, my only criticism for this game is... all my other games seem kind of shit now
  4. Thank you, I was after technical reasons it was or wasn't a good idea. Cheers Lol I don't even remember being on my P's...
  5. It's a lot of work then? I was hoping manifolds etc. would be the same, or at least similar enough to make it fit, haha. Just pop it off, pop a new gasket and a better head on, and reattach everything (i.e. a day's work). Out of interest, and so I know, what else would need changing? But yeah, I can get a 25DE for under a grand, so I see your point. I'll just have to find an engine loom and ECU somewhere, and replace it all, yeah? AFAIK the gearbox and engine mounts wouldn't need changing, but feel free to correct that if I'm wrong there Cheers.
  6. Oh hay guyze. So, turns out RB20E's are slow and gutless. I'm considering my various options for conversions. Obviously a full swap to a 25DE is an option, but I'm wondering what might happen if I put the 25DE head on the 20E block? Can that be done, do channels and bolt holes line up? Would I need to change ECU or loom? Straight swap or splicing? I have a guy who can do the wiring, and we've got everything we need to do that conversion, so I could do it myself over a week or so (planned time, actual time expected to take up to a full month... lol). If this is a shitty idea, let me know. What other head swaps should I think about? Obviously the 20DE head will fit, and I know that'll be f**k all power increase, but it'd be nice to at least clear 100kw and be able to keep up with a Prius or Tiida... lol. Should I abandon the whole idea and only consider full engine swaps? Cheers all, B.
  7. Um, what? The 186kw is correct, for anyone wondering... NFI what that other number is supposed to be.
  8. I bought the whole set; the coil-distributor lead and the six spark leads. They're not quite right but they're close enough that you can make them fit pretty easily. I've just finished the full service and she's running smoothly, even though the leads don't feel like they grab the plugs very snugly (they're very easy to pull off). I'm going to keep my old set and next time I service it, I'll take those in to a Burson's or something and get a match for each lead.
  9. Hi! I'm servicing the RB20E on the R33 I just got. I went to SCA, got some Bosch spark leads, Part #B6080i. The book says they suit an RB20E from an R31, but it can't be too different, right? Anyway, the actual plug sockets are a lot longer on these leads than on my current ones, so the cables don't fit as nicely. I'd prefer to get new cables the same as my current ones to make sure my leads aren't going to pop off when I get on the loud pedal. Does anyone have a Part # for spark leads that are confirmed to fit R33 RB20E? Old mate at SCA checked online and these leads aren't listed for the R33, but they are listed for the R31. There are two other lead manufacturers with leads in the SCA system to suit this engine, and they are both listed for the R33 and the R31, so it stands to reason that these leads should fit both engines as well, but they're not a nice fit. Cheers, B.
  10. Bit late, but in case anyone stumbles across this thread with a similar problem, that won't be the coil. The RB20E only has one coil; if it was faulty you'd get no sparks, not 5/6 of them. Check the distributor (it 'distributes' the spark from a single coil to multiple spark plugs) or the plug/lead/injector/etc. on the cylinder that's stopping.
  11. Neither did I, nor did I know they could keep running so smoothly after this many k's. It's honestly the smoothest engine I've driven with. My diff, on the other hand... that's dying
  12. Hi all, I'm currently driving and am soon to take ownership of an R33 GTS with a factory RB20E. Pretty new engine too... it's only done 360,000 :s lol. I know, I lose at Skylines, but I'll put a real engine in it in the not-too-distant. It's not that fast, but it's so smooth and it has a beautiful note to it. For now it's just nice to have something to drive other than Dad's Grand Vitara, or my half-broken SVD N13, haha. Looking forward to tidying it up and pouring money into it! Cheers to all, B.
