  1. heya, you don't need plate number. just grab the chassis number from your auction sheet and type it into the 'VIN' field - remove any dashes, leave the plate number field blank: eg. BZ11344272 or ER34025033 then hit search and it will return the compliance plate info. if the car hasn't been complied yet you'll get the "no records matching..." message.
  2. didn't anyone tell you that all clean and straight-forward, private/broker import cars automagically get targeted for "random" inspection? thereby holding the process up by several weeks. The Department of Infrastructure and Transport's "random" inspection process is very important to ensure that while your car is being inspected all of the accident grade, wound-back dealer cars are ushered through the process without obstruction. also - are you suggesting they should be held accountable for delays far exceeding their alleged "15 working days from receipt" processing target? LOL - remember we're talking about the public circus.
  3. Full VIN is: 6U90000PV35500141 The car was complied by Extreme Xposure Pty Ltd (Vic) on 6th December 2012. Using the chassis number (PV35500141) you can look up the compliance details using this link: http://raws.infrastructure.gov.au/rawswebpublic/RAWPubVehSearch.asp Not sure what kind of history you're after but given that the car only arrived in Aus a bit over a year ago you might need to try and get hold of the cars history in Japan (carhistory.com.au etc... won't be able to tell you much).
  4. lol. who told you that? a used import car dealer? a lot of well-intentioned posts in this thread - but so much blind leading the blind... Jap Auto World refuse to post VINs with any of their sales ads online - why is that? Thinking of buying from this dealer? Give the dealer a call and post up the VIN for the car in this forum.
  5. All good advice above and i'm sure via PM etc... given Mr. Pav is genuinely interested surely wouldn't be hard to get hold of the VIN/chassis number from the dealer - someone post it up and lets see what is really on offer here.
  6. Awwww link removed by the dealer and carsales.com.au Ad removed - seems we have their attention... Screenshot for those that want to take a look:
  7. For the sake of clarity - we are talking about at least two distinct 'blokes' in this thread. The R33 GTR is not for sale at Edward Lees but another dealership down the road (yes, the R32 below it is an Ed Lees special). Unfortunately no sheep stations on offer for the first to correctly guess which other dealership.
  8. As much as I disagree that -110,000kms constitutes "relatively honest" it is fair to say the one in your linked video is some of Phils 'best' work...
  9. One of my favourite threads "Beware - R34 Gtr" - 17 pages, 15 months later and still causing mayhem. It was highly amusing to see this forum mentioned in one of Phil Lees youtube videos. Ranked 2nd when googling "edward lees" - a web SEO experts worst nightmare. So... new year, fresh stock - time to share the love and give Phil a break from all the limelight hogging. carsales.com.au no longer display VIN by default as part of a used car for sale ad on the web (this sux). They still store the information and display it in their Apps (Android, IOS, WinRT) however. BCNR33-023075 - 79,310 kms Sold for 425,000 yen or roughly $12,000 landed and complied.
  10. That would be Power Road Car Sales @ Dandenong. Be careful how excited you get about the "low kms" factor. They're clever enough to post only engine numbers with their advertisements which makes them very hard to catch out. Here is one example though: 2007 White Delica - 76,602 kms. Note engine number in VIN field = BD83764B12 According the Department of Transport the chassis number for that car would be: CV5W0106567 Same car in Japan: 151,570kms
  11. If you're still interested in getting hold of it please PM me your VIN/chassis number
  12. According to the email, the sales contract states the car was sold with 65,123kms on the odometer. Did you receive the Japanese de-registration certificate with the car, if not have you since been able to get hold of it to qualify the kilometers?
  13. Awesome - I look forward to selling you your next "performance car". Obviously you won't mind at all if I make $10k on the sale to help keep afloat my unsustainable business. Do you think they only do it to the sports cars? LOL I have a MINT MINT MINT family van I can sell you also!
  14. HI ROD33 :-) Why don't you bring some evidence instead of spewing bile? Firstly - the victims of these unethical practices are not bored. People are angry - and rightfully so. Secondly - let me tell you what is pathetic: The assumption being floated that this shit must be being dredged up by 'the competition'. The assumption that car buyers would not understand what dodgy businesses are up to. The assumption industry insiders had to be involved. Clearly you feel Xtreme is being unfairly targeted - not the case. Lets take a look at who's been exposed (with evidence in other posts) thus far: - Nagoya Motors - Luxury and Performance - Dream Car City - Edward Lees - Import Factory - Sinergy Motorsports - Xtreme Motorsports No-one is off-limits, we are watching.
  15. Ad got pulled pretty quick :\ http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-Skyline-2005/AGC-AD-14761028/?Cr=0
  16. I'm now able to answer my own question. Per the above post Sinergy have a strange habit of advertising their cars with "real looking" VINs thanks to their fat-fingered webmaster. Fortunately Sinergy have recently aquired some new stock - and one of those new stock is a bit less generic: a 2005 Nissan Skyline 350GT in red (an uncommon colour). Have a look on your favourite auction statistics site - you will find only one 2005 red v35 coupe has sold within the last 3 months and I suspect the total number this year would be less than 10. Let's have a look at the VIN per the CarSales ad. (you'll need to use the IOS/Android/RT app - for some reason carsales hide the VIN field on their regular website these days ) According to the ad the vehicle chassis number would be: CPV35600186 - but according to that number the car should be QX1 (pearl white). One of our (very few) 2005 red candidates conveniently has the chassis number CPV35600986 - only 1 digit difference! So - the chances are already highly likely that we've found the same car but further confirmation comes when we run the chassis number through the Australian government RAWS compliance database. Conveniently enough the car with our corrected chassis number had it's compliance done recently by "Redicorp Pty Ltd" - registered to an address in Adelaide, SA. Therefore the answer to my initial question in the case of this particular car is precisely : -31,385
  17. Congrats on your newly updated website! Seems this new one allows you full control over the VIN/chassis number field. Fortunately I have some screenshots of the old one - not GTR's but some interesting V series on there: 1) White 2009 S - CKV36200461 - 17,250kms 2) Grey 2007 P - CKV36401504 - 27,350kms 3) Grey 2004 P 70th Anniversary - CPV35508574 - 47,623kms 1st post - enjoy your free advertising and welcome to SAU. (EDIT: I suppose these will all turn out to be consignment cars... )
  18. Nice implied assumption there matey. Do you think this is the first time I have been accused of being an industry insider of some variety? It's about time dealers gave the car buyer more credit - we are not all ignorant to what goes on. Some of us are a good deal more careful with how we spend our hard earned dollars than dealers are in hiding their indiscretions. You say you have nothing to hide and then post an edited screenshot omitting important details - give the members of this forum some respect.
  19. That's a strange looking auction sheet with no grading...? In-case you need a full copy for the car you bought - here it is:
  20. Back on topic, you could always buy this v36 sedan currently being sold by one of my new mates from another thread. Nice wheels and infiniti badges all round. ____________________________________
  21. re: IMG recommendation another mob ensuring not a single VIN for their jap car range is published online... do a lot of homework.
  22. yikes!! thought we already had some consensus on this topic. Lets looks at one of the dealers mentioned - they're one of many that refuses to advertise VINs - alarm bells should ring. http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-Skyline-2008/AGC-AD-14479439/?Cr=5&sdmvc=1 NOTE: black infiniti badges and rare tail-lights. Relatively rare mods like this give us a good chance of identification. How can we be sure this car ever even made it to AUS from auction in Japan? It has a government issued compliance plate:
  23. Good luck with that. As cool as waybackmachine is - it captures flat, static copies of html pages in limited fashion, especially when it comes to database reliant websites like eBay. For a listing 3 years ago, per those who've suggested above most likely the only source is eBay themselves.
