  1. that cooler is for the hicas, but i suppose you can make the ps fluid go though it. the rotor i removed is only for the hicas, and wont affect the power steering. steve
  2. hey im after a sc12 supercharger, or something of a simular size. Even the smaller nissian ones will do. i tired adleladejap they only have the big ones. thanx steve
  3. why would you want to put it back? ive removed all of the hicas piping and soldenoids, i opened up the powersteering pump and removed the rotor that pumps the fluid for the hicus. then i just put a bolt in the place where the pipiing goes. as mesnioned above, it saves weight and also heaps of space in the engine bay. steve

  5. heres mine, still in the process of removing everything for cleaning. notice the amount of space left after removing allof the hicas crap. ill weigh all hicas gear up and let you's know. steve
  6. are looking for performce or you just want a lappo? mate of mine has a modded DC2R, got an amazing 180hp at the front wheels, it was pretty slow too. steve p.s i was being scarasitc about the amazing bit.........
  7. use a breaker bar, and the starter motor. always works (unless your battery if dead) forget the stupid water pump idea. youll kill it. steve

  10. hey, i got engine from a mazda famila GTR (engine code BPD) for sale. Done less than 100,000k's, doesnt smoke or use up oil or coolant. you get the loom, ecu, afm, plus all the sensors. got 200hp @ all 4wheels at 14psi. suits lasers and mazda 323's $2800 firm. steve
  11. well you can do the most basic first, which are full exhaust, pods filters, boost controller. those few things hsould keep ya happy for a while. but as said above, get the car checked out and fuully serviced. i drove my car home from freo back in decemeber and havnt driven it since. Most of the engine's out as well as all the pipiing, cause i wanna give everything a good clean and repaint. im also going to change all the belts, seals and fluids. steve
  12. man, forget the turbo import thing. get your self a cheap running car (e.g laser) and drive that around till you get a decent job or finish tafe. Inurnce and parts a shit cheap so youll be able to save up heaps. steve

  17. isnt the only differance between the n1 pump and a standard pump is the pressure spring? the n1 pump has a harder spring in it to give it higher pressure? steve

  23. hey guys, i got a question on what happens when your timing is too far advanced or too far retarded. the car in question is a ford laser, 1.6l sohc. Im unable to accuratle set the timing on the engine, becuase the timing marks are stuffed and im unable to replace them. what i wanna know is what symptoms is there when you adjust you timing too far forward or back. apart from "blowing up the engine" what happened is, i adjusted the timing forward. the car ran mint and pulled all the way through redline. anyways, i was going down this hill and for the last couple 100 meter i used the engine to slow down, as soon as i made to the bottom of the hill the head gasket blew between cylinders 2 and 3. wa this a result of too far advanced timng? i fixed it and retarded the timing , now the car has no tourqe at all, it barley makes it to 4000 (no pont going above) and when im cruising at e.g 100kph the engine pulls forwrd then it feels like it surges, and keeps doing it. also, when im braking using the engine, the exhaust constantly makes a popping noise. is this the result of too far retarded timing? i know these engines inside out, but this has me stumped. the timing belt is on perfect, as well as the plugs and leads etc. any help would be appricated. thanks steve
