  1. i luv the r34 but the xr6t will defently be the way to go. these cars respond awseomely to upgrades, but go for a series 2 6 speed. you wont regret it. steve
  2. hey guys, there heaps of diffs out there but im not too sure which one would be suitable for me. at the moment i have a 2way mechanical diff which i wanna sell, i didnt like the way it made the noise and shook the back end up. the car will be a daily driver, and i do a lot of free way driving. I also will be taking it down to the drags so something thatll give me some good 1/4 times would ne nice. would a 1.5 way diff be good? greenline sell ATS 1.5 way lsd diffs for about $1100. Can anyone recoomend a better/cheaper diff? thanks steve
  3. a short motor is basicly the bottom end, the block with everything in it. a long motor has the head bolted on etc. im not sure if the manolds or other bolt on parts are included. steve
  4. i only ever use a tourque wrench when bolting down heads. otherwise i take a guess, have a bit of experiance with stripping threads etc so you sort of learn when enuff is enuff. although i gotta admit on the first engine i built, i tourqued down every single bolt exactly as stated in the shop manual!! steve
