thats not true sorry.. my mate had a tt supra with a canary for too low and tyre rating.. had 7 days to drive it around normally (in the cops words"drive it to the movies or what ever as you would normally do") less than a week later he was "parked" on the side of the road.. cop on a motor bike pulls over and gives him another sticker (now he has 2 stickers on the windscreen), an hour or so to get the car home b4 the rego is suspended and another $165 fine for driving a defective vehicle (even tho it was parked on the side of the road and he wasnt driving.. wasnt even in the car) while we're on the topic i got a canary 2 thursdays ago down st kilda beach way for my front tyres having un even tyre wear meaning i need to go get a front end alignment (got 1 about 6months ago when i got new tyres), exhaust to be checked by epa, and drivers seat to be secured tighter (nothing even wrong with it) that also came with a $165 fine today i go and get a rwc and go to vicroads and the tosser wont take the canary off without seeing a receipt for the wheel alignment even tho i told him im friends with the guys that did it and i wasnt charged

would just a normal rb26 box be ok left in rwd? is it just the extra weight of the box thats the only down side?

yeah the car would only be used as a daily driver, drift and drag.. and i got a price from a known performace workshop and they said a drive in and drive away rb26 conversion for around the $8k i was thinking.. the closer to standard rb26 would last longer than a modded sr20

what are ceffy's going for these days anyways? around 10ish?

what about the leather off the gear stick? mine was lost and i need that metal bit from the bottom of it to hold it into the plastic

i wouldnt mind a ceffy.. keep it looking stock and i wouldnt be hassled to hard by cops.. whats the deal with importing modded cars? can it still be done?

Hey I think it might be time to sell the line and go for a better project and the 1st thing that comes to mind is a 180 with a rb26 for the main reason of it shouldn’t be that expensive.. Pick up an old 180 ca18 for around 7-8k? A 32 gtr half cut should be around the 6k? 1st question is can I import a slightly modded 180? Like I want a full cage, nice tight locked diff and maybe some after market suspension and a few gauges even? 2nd question is can I use a rb26 gearbox on a rwd car? Or do I need a box off a rb25? Or if any1 else has any ideas id love to hear them 3rd question is what other parts would I need? fuel pump? Im sure theres heaps more And last question is what sorta brake upgrade could I go for?

yeah but this cop was going off the fact that my front tyres had un even wear on them.. what happens if i bought 2nd hand rubber? it gave me the impression that he didnt know what to dick me for but wasnt going to let me get away.. he tried to get me on hand brake clicks.. checked all my parkers and head lights anyways we're getting off topic.. thanx for putting on the drift comp guys and hope to see you at the next 1

got the canary b4 even leaving melb city.. 3 cops on bikes pulled me over for doing nothing wrong (Was sitting at a round about giving way to the bikes and they made a special effort to get behind me and pull me over) and got the 2 speeding fines just b4 getting over the s.a border (vic sux) they dicked me for front end not aligned (un even tyre wear on the fronts) movement in the driver's seat and the exhaust to be checked not what i call a good reason for a canary and a $165 fine but you get that

if your in melb give pulse auto styling a call they're cheap and do good work

well we cramped 4 ppl in the 33 and drove from melb to adelaide and it only cost a canary, 2x $200 fines and 6points, full sunburn that blistered the same day and a bad hang over on the sunday.. but it was well worth it.. hope to be there again for the next 1

i went to s.a for the drift comp and on the way there i got 480k's outta the tank and still had a 1/4'ish left cos it only took 45l's to fill again thats easy the best iv ever done and that also includes being pulled over and idling for about 10mins

vic roads will only come out and check if being too low is on the defect... and the stickers allways fall off if you leave them in the sun... good luck

yeah i spoke to pulse tonight and they said they saw how much you cut off yours and they'll try and help me with mine when i get a new bar.. also that tow truck driver was shifty.. when it was going on and i was there watching he got the wooden planks out and made sure it would go up nice.. and i saw it go up didnt come close to touching anything.. he must of just rolled it straight off the back when no1 was around

yeah no bumper supports there was a crack down the middle and it was ripped off all the bolts when the tow truck driver dropped it off..
