HI all,
I have a problem taht i noticed just after i had my 3inch exhaust fitted. When i takeoff hard in 1st or 2nd, my car kinda hesitates (goes like putt putt putt) then goes, it only happens normally at nite when it is in cold weather. I talked to a mate of mine and he seems to think its a fuel cut problem.
His reasoning is, since i got the zaust fitted that creates more boost (even more when its cold weather) and when the ecu detects the overboost it tried to stop it by cutting the amount of fuel going into the injectors. But the weird thing is, i dont have a boost controler or a bleed valve fitted so i thought i was running standard boost.
The only mods i have dun is: Trust Airinx air filter, big frontmount intercooler, 3inch exhaust with a twin dump pipe from the turbo and heavy duty clutch. I took it on a dyno run and got a reading for 177.8kw at the wheels, and there was no hesitation when they did the run because they slowly builtup speed. As i said, the hesitation only really happens at 1st and 2nd when its cold.
what is a way quickly fix this problem? fuel cut defender? boost controler (and turn the boost down)? or get a apexi SAFC??
