Funky you have been talking about this setup for about 1 year now, when the hell will you get all these antilag thingamergiggies done?
SLY33
Is the 2835pro s going to fit on the stock manifold without modifications?
As for traction, good tyres and decent suspension setup helps alot!!!
LOL at front mount oil filter
Oil coolers work fine for day to day driving but are not needed unless you do track work as you cant hold the car at full throttle for long enough to get the oil over 100 degrees, unless you lives in europe ofcourse
But where were you driving?
I usually get around 320km to a full tank driving to and from work in peak hour traffic with about 5 billion stops and starts on the monash freeway each way!!!
So the only people going so far is Al and scotsman??
If i can come back early on friday i might come for atleast sat, but the weather forcast doesent look good for sat or sunday
You know the answer to that is NO
I never intended to do internals, only if it blew, but i dont drive like a full sick kunt all the time so my internals have a good chance of living a long life!!
japan has been warned about you and ur firends / family driving cars into bus stops sideways!!!
FFS stop staring so many threads, you are making me laugh wayyy to much!!
:bahaha: Ok i will stop now
You gotta be kidding, the 2540 is one mismatched comp/exhaust side turbo ever.
Bass
For an example at sandown on that sunday running around 255rwkw with my GT30 0.70 a/r comp 0.87 a/r exh i found that coming onto either the front or back straights at around 60 km/h in 3rd at around 3000rpm i had lag issues till i hit just over 4000rpm and came onto boost. If i took these 2 corners in 2nd instead i found that i would get wheel spin and axle tramp instead. I went for a ride in skylinegeoffs car before that and he could use 3rd coming onto those straights with his 'hydrid' turbo and come on boost straight away, but my car felt alot quicker on the straights.
Do you plan on joining the wang soon or just street driving?
You cant say there is an ultimate turbo, as if you want big top end power the bad side is lag, and if you want responsive the bad side is no top end power.
It all really depends on what you want to do with your car, to what turbo you pick.
Nice!
Got similiar parts installed on my car already except turbo is a Garrett GT35 and boost controller is HKS EVC 3.
Do the internals first before it blows and save youself alot of labour costs from getting everything installed and then removed to get the internals done later.
I heard that Japan passed legislation recently that Mines_Datsun was is not allowed to enter Japan in fear of him making up stories of crashing a GTR into a bus stop in Japan!!!!
So unfortunately you will have to stay in Australia :usuck:
I was thinking about pulling my airbag steering wheel off and getting a nice new steering wheel.
Where did you buy the boss kit to over ride the airbag sensors etc. I know autospeed sell one but its a bit of a joke price for just the boss kit.
Geoff
Does ur hicas bar make the steering wheel heavy at low speeds?
I have also got Bilstein shocks and had the car prob lower than your at the moment when i first got it. It was ruff as guts until i put in new springs to raise the car as it would get up my driveway, and now rides alot better.
Maybe try out another set of springs coz the shocks might be under constant compression if not setup right.
I would like to see another test on a a car with around 450-500hp after about 10,000 km to see how this magic cat is working. Most cats loose their usefullness on big hp cars after a few 1000 km's.
