  1. Dam right.. I think it's because the turbo market is dead though at the moment.. Either that or it's going through a transition.. Up till around a year ago r32's and s1 33's would sell pretty easily.. Now as s2 33's are coming down in price along with many other newer imports I think people are holding out or moving on.. That and these new P plate laws screwed it up..
  2. There's a member on the forums here called Maxx he makes and sells the boxes for R33's anyway it just replaced your stock airobox, encloses the pod, has a clear plastic top so you can see in and still keeps the stock snorkel feed.. See below. If you wanted to get more out of it I'd set up some PVC piping or something from the front bar to blow underneath the pod aswell.. More air can't hurt.
  3. It's been said by some members on the forums here that they've noticed a little lack of low torque after putting on a POD.. But I think the gains/differences aren't that noticable.. You're car just breathers cleaner, should run a little more efficiently, get more km's per tank of fuel. I had a boxed POD with cold air intake on it on my old 33 GTS. That seemd to give me the best of both worlds.
  4. A pod filter doesn't really mess with your low-mid torque at all.. That would have more to do with your exhaust, clutch, tyres in most circumstances..
  5. If the K&N filter is just a panel filter you won't hear much intake, it would be muffled by the stock airbox. You're only really going to get the intake sound if you have a pod..
  6. arghhh ye be hackin her up lol.. I shared the car with my dad on occasions and he's the typical kind of granny driver, needed everything in the car.. If you are pretty much the only one driving the car then for starters I'd get rid of the boot interior, spare tyre in the back, rear seats and maybe look at a carbon fibre bonnet and maybe coil overs I think they are a little lighter than stock suspension? I'd also look in getting a chipped ecu or something so you can throw it on a dyno and get everything tuned out. I'm sure that will help a fair bit. I'm also curious to see what it makes on the dyno and runs down the quarter. From experience I wouldn't be suprised if you could get in the 14's.
  7. Clearly there's only one way around this for me... I'll buy a boat and hoon around in the water!!! Behold!!!!!!!! http://www.boatpoint.com.au/boats-for-sale....aspx?R=2796263 Whatchu gonna do now cops! Get wateratz on my ass mang!
  8. Well atleast you've worked your way up the tree SAU > NS.com > fastfours.com.au > boost cruising > everyone else.
  9. Oh.. So you managed to infiltrate our forums you... you ns.com'er!
  10. ffs.. dam turbo laws.. My ideal car, how hasn't this sold yet for the price? It looks mint!
  11. mmm after joining SAU when I was like 15 and being into skylines before that.. I was really looking forward to getting a turbo 32 or 31 when I was 16-17.. Well all that changed in a hurry with those no-turbo laws coming in a month or so before I got my reds... I went for the non-turbo line and it was great for the 2 years or so that I had it. But, now with the cash from that after selling it a few days ago.. I don't know how much longer I can hold out lol.. If I do decide to take the plunge into a turb car I def wouldn't be getting another line as imo it attracts far too much attention. Even though I didn't once get pulled over on my greens even driving around at 2am through the rocks, cronulla, city, bondi etc never.. Obviously I wouldn't be doing anything stupid like that with a turbo car but meh.. Given that my area is pretty relaxed with cops It just tempts me even more.. I mean I see all the rich kids from vauclause etc driving around their mum and dad's turbo audi's, saabs, mercs, v8 jeeps and they never get hassled, largely because cops probably have no idea or could care less about those sorts of cars I suppose too.. Another 1 and a bit years to go till I can legally drive one.. I recon If I hold out any longer I'm just going to get fed up and call it quits on imports lol
  12. It seems to be common with stock exhausts, just get a new muffler/cannon or whole new exhaust system. Should fix it. Then maybe it'll sound like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Svf7hO7PjEo
  13. Yea I thought you were just lurking and waiting to warn some people.. I was wrong.. You just type like an eagle.. Soaring around till you find the keys lol
  14. While this does sound good, It would still be hard to co-ordinate through traffic. I remember when we cruised to Newcastle and there was around 40+ of us I think we had to stop and reform on the highway as too many people got left behind. For the benefit of everyone I recon the most you could do through traffic is 10.. Hell when it was just me you and dyken I almost got caught at a few sets of lights. Although it would be cool to watch 50+ skylines go through the cross in a row haha
  15. Nice price but will still be hard due to vic still letting people drive turbos. If you advertised it as based in NSW i'm sure you would get way more interest.
  16. wohhhh that's cheap... Got my eye on this and the 180sx for 8500..
  17. Well I actually want to get rid of my old hi-tech muffler + tip + about a metre of 2 and a quarter inch piping.. here's a vid of it. If you're in sydney you can come get it for like $50 edit: that goes for anyone who wants an exhaust cheap that's good quality I just need to get rid of it.. been sitting downstairs for ages.
  18. Are the stock radiators on all skylines made by calsonic? Just asking cause mine says calsonic on it
  19. Oh yea forgot to mention age lol.. If you're <25 you're going to pay alot.. 25> and it's drastically reduced in most cases.
  20. Yea I have just the 1 resonator and it's pretty small. Yours sounds pretty good too from inside the car anyway.
  21. Oh I beg to differ.. I had the raspy style muffler for a year or so.. It started to sound fairly weak even high in the rev range.. My cannon is loud as all hell above 3k RPM but not in the same tone, drone style way, it just gets progressively louder and tougher imo. And then day to day driving it's as quiet as a mouse.. Video below is a drive by I've been meaning to get for a while although I had to ease off the throttle as I approached the camera, but still it shows just how loud the car is when you want it to be at the end lol when I down shift near the round about around 150m away and you can still hear it loud and clear =P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Svf7hO7PjEo Hmmm and If I can get around to it today, I might get it dynod.. Very interested to see what's its making
  22. Looks like it's coming along well, I bet your pumped about it haha.. I know I would be! So is it just a stock transplant? Or are you planning on putting some other bits and pieces?
