I can pretty much answer your question..
I've got some vids here of the car in different stages and shoul be exactly what you're after..
1. Just a 2- 1/4 catback exhaust
2. Same exhaust but with extractors
3. Same exhaust except swapped muffler with a cannon with a 2 -1/4 inlet and I think it has a 4 or so tip maybe bigger ( Rev and drive-by)..
( The revving sounds a little distorted because I had the camera to friggen close to the exhaust lol )drive by - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nh-14jWBaUo
So as you can see it just gets a whole lot louder.. Not too sure about power gained/lost as I never got the chance to throw it on a dyno inbetween.
If you can find a cannon with an inlet that matches your exhaust system that would definately be preffered to say sticking something on that's 3 or so all the way through when your piping is 2 - 1/4
Looks nice.. Your car is virtually the same as mine now - Same front bar, skirts, same coloured wheels.. Same mods and then me waiting on coils/springs too lol
Probably better off asking/paying for some legal advice.. You will most likely get uncertain answers here.. Because lawyers, solicitors, barristers etc don't like to give out free advice too often.. Especially seeing as you posted on quite a few forums the same questions..
Exactly what I was thinking haha.. Everyone's so quick to jump over anything that may seem hoon related.. In the long run it won't make too much difference because at the end of the day.. People see a skyline and think back to ACA or today tonight etc..
There's a sticky up the top about converting the gts to a turbo.. And how much it roughly costs..
As for doing the engine swap that probably has more potential down the track because you don't have to take the engine apart and mess around with the compression if you want to run more boost.
I had a fully enclosed pox but still got pinged for it.. $50 to be sorted by a mechanic.. I carry the paper around in the car now when cops get a little touchy about it.
Thankyou, now I will most definately not be doing it myself haha! Spark plugs is as far as I've gone for now lol, I might see if I can watch my mech change em so I can see..
I gotta get a new one with somewhere quieter.. So much stuff to do.. Brake pads, catch tank, oil + filter, new bride copies in, save for clutch + springs/coils..
Lol mine doesn't seem to drone, it more or less is just pretty loud when you go over 3k RPM.
Only vid of a drive by I have at the moment..
1. No I don't have a fake BoV
2. No I don't know what that psssssttt sound is in the vid from the car
3. Just saying this because a few people have asked already.

Hey guys I read over the DIY guide on changing brake pads, but that was for a 33gts-t. And in the DIY guide another forum member commented that some more work was needed with the caliper and possibly G-clamps or something on the N/A cars..
So to save myself some hassles, is it true it's not just a matter of following the guide and sliding the old out then the new in?
DIY guide is here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=21459
Find yourself a good mechanic to get past most of the basic little things like frontmount, pod etc etc..
As for emissions.. If your exhaust is too loud swap it for a stocker in the mean time to pass the test then switch back.
Basically your mechanic will take care of most of the paperwork involved, except for the emissions part which requires that EPA bullshit I think.
