  1. Just trying to determine if my turbo has the correct size wheels. any one got pics of highflows from around 3-4 years ago? thanks
  2. thanks CHris Hey - how about compressor side. Is the compressor housing on the Rb20 the same beisdes the Pressure T coming off it? I.e. could you use an rb20 compressor housing on an rb25 and not change the turbo characteristics? thanks
  3. Cubes did you fix your problem with a longer pipe. THere isn't that much room there though. Yes I see mine spiking down vey high on the map trace when this happens sometimes. 4800mv by 3000rpm - I don't think so! What sort of turbo do you have cubes? Also, Can other people tell me when they look at there map trace if they give it a bit in 2nd or 3rd for a few seconds (till about 4000rpm) then back off does the map trace jump straight back right up the top. Mine jumps through some other load points on the way, then once it hits the top it sometimes jumps down again for a second even though the throttle is still fully closed. Not sure if it did this with the stock turbo. At lower load points when I back off it jumps straight back up the top. Thanks
  4. Well it looks like I have close to base PFC map around the points where I am having issues.. I tried adding 20% fuel to the whole map - on the HC but didn't really help .. Thanks
  5. Bazr33 did you get to the bottom of this? Im surprised it is ok at 12psi but not at 18. You reckon the problem is only around 5psi on the highway. In both case the wastegate should be pretty much shut! Ive got a similar issue with a gcg
  6. Can anyone post them here? Thanks
  7. Where you able to tune this out mate?
  8. Is anybody able to post up the default Rb25 maps? Thanks
  9. Thanks SK. I just had a look at the hand controller. On the fuel maps there is a jump from 100 to 114 going from load point 9 to 10 in the lower rpm range. That only corresponds to 14% increase does it? Not close the 40% you are referring to Doesn't seem linear like the other cells. Anyone able to tell me if this is normal? The airflow is jumping around with a very steady throttle input... Short clip of Airflow jumping around
  10. Does anybody know the no. cast on the side of the exhaust housing of the Rb25 and rb 20 turbos? Has the rb25 got the 21U and the rb20 got somehting different? Cheers
  11. Is this on the stock turbo and/or stock ECU? Thanks
  12. Looks like that is just an interceptor like a SAFC. Would rather fix the root cause or tune it out.. Have to get a few more opinions on it..
  13. Chris, Your reversion - is it like a miss? I can see the AFM voltage jumping all over the place. Tune shop wants $80 to diagnose it .. Have many people tuned this out? It happens anywhere from about 0psi to 5 or 6 psi.
  14. I think it is Hills Motorsport
  15. Had to think about it but you need to take the BOV connection off the plenum..this sets up the pressure difference that causes the BOV to open. Cheers
  16. Chris, Yeah I dont know whether to try diff BOV, AFM or even wack in the stock ecu. I have checked all hoses but I guess if there is a small vacuum leak it would be hard to see. Wouldnt this be evident at idle etc though.
  17. $170 otherwise will wack it on ebay.. Cheers
  18. Is there such thing as a 80mm or 3" one way valve that would help this ....hahah
  19. Thanks mate. Although I think the boost controller isn't really doing anything because at 0-3psi it shouldn't even really be opening the wastegate.
  20. Hey EGA41T - I see your pipe that comes over the radiator has a nice bend back downwards after going over the radiator fan. Mine heads upwards and doesn't come back down - hitting the bonnet a little. Because yours bends back down it means you didnt have to take quite as much out of your snorkel. Did your pipe come like that or did you get the pipe bent afterwards? Cheers - mine is a justjap kit..

  22. Ok - I have been checking the map tracer. At low rpm in 4th or 5th (2000-3000rpm) and around load point 8-11 if you hold a steady throttle input you can see the little black dot jumping around up and down in the same vertical column (i.e. going up hill)...I It doesn't look normal like what happens in 2nd or 3rd gear. Sometimes holding this throttle input (around 0-3psi) the load point will jump from 10 to 15 accompanied by a jerk (not sure if jerk is before or after) then back to about load point 5... I guess this could be a misfire..e.g. the car misses/halts, hence requires less air for a split second since the engine can't take it. This air builds up there and shows a higher load point reading..although this doesn't really hold true unless the car misses which allows more air to flow through.. The air build up wouldn't register a high reading on the AFM or is the air coming back on itself and the high reading is air flowing backwards.. Anyone had experience with this? Cheers
  23. Excellent intercooler. Will post pics tonight
  24. Bought from Just Jap. Brand new - better than tube and fin 3" Inlet and outlet. Sells for $199 at Just Jap. Will let go for $175. Can arrange for pick up in Syd. Cheers http://www.justjap.com/parts_nintercoolers.htm
