  1. Anyone else know where to source these cheaply? thanks DO the non-BB VG30 turbos still have water cooling?
  2. So do they do Powerfc tuning? Would they have done many skylines? So they have a dyno?
  3. Thanks Slides. Hey - i tried that contact but they didnt have any. Anybody have any ideas of where to get them (either vg30 or R34) please PM me thanks
  4. Cubes or others. Is the op6 housing a tell tale sign that it is a BB turbo? I.e. could it have op6 on it ans still be plain bearing? I'm sourcing a turbo from interstate and want to make sure I'm getting the right one. What can I get them to check before sending? Cheers
  5. Birnie - did you get your tune done? If so how did it go?
  6. Thanks Cubes. P.s. Does anyone know how critical the compressor wheel size is to the power the highflow will make. Has anyone used the standard compressor wheel with a large exhaust wheel and made good power. COuld you still get up to 230rwkw? I'm having my turbo reworked as the compressor wheel is much too large and thinking of going back to the stock wheel..coupled with the bigger metal exhaust wheel and possibly R34 housing. Cheers Ben
  7. Yeah Im taking my time too. But mainly due to turbo issues. Looks like I have to take it off again and get it reworked! Sucks when you have to take the car off the road for a week. ,.. Hope yours goes well tomorrow. Keep us updated!
  8. Anybody know if GCG can use the VG30det COMP cover to make it equivalent to the R33 highflow? I know the R32 is bored out to be the same as the R33.. thanks
  9. 217 at 11psi even on a highflow is a bit over the top..with only a SAFC controlling things. Interesting. Nice result. Take it to a dyno day and see how it stacks up against others..
  10. SO what is your AFM reading now. Mine reads 4.3v around 170-180rwkw, Hope its all good now.
  11. How much did you get your AFm for Birnie? If you dont mind me asking cheers
  12. Interesting.. So you do need the OP6 stamped exhaust housing. I was about to get one from a plain bearing turbo untilk I found this thread. Are all OP6 ones goers? Do the plain bearing turbos still have water cooling..? I.e. how do you tell they are plain bearing? Thanks
  13. Preferably in Sydney - will pay 50 up to about 100.. Cheers Ben
  14. So yeah it is hard to know if : a) this housing will fit and b) whether it is the appropriate size cheers Thanks for the help so far cubes and others. Hopefully will get my car back to normal driveability soon. The stock turbo was so nice
  15. So what do you think of the exhaust housing - bigger than a stock Rb25? As big as a VG30? thanks
  16. Is there any measurements I could take to ensure I am getting the right one? bigger than the standard VG30?!! Wow.. Thanks
  17. cubes - did you think it looked like the bigger housing originally? Do you have any measurements I can check? Thanks
  18. Well it has 45v1 on the comp cover and looks like the vg30 actuator - (not flat on the top).. Not sure now. Might let it go..
  19. Cubes, have all the ones you seen had OP6 in that location. This one has Y24B.. might not be right. Hardman - sounds like you got a good turbo there. The secret recipe Yeah I think the compressor is where it's at but the exhaust housing may be the cheapest to change..
  20. I'm not sure if it's journal bearing or not. SO you cant really tell if its 0p6 without taking the housing off? Cheers
  21. It has 45V1 on the comp housing. How can you check it is the op6 housing besides taking it off? Is it always on the inside side? So the journal bearing housing works also?
  22. Thanks Cubes. Can you tell if it is BB or bush from that photo?
