  1. Cool.. But on the rego paper anyone? BTW car feels pretty quick 0-100 in around 6 ish - is this possible for a standard R33?
  2. Anyone got rego weight of their 4 door or 2 door? Thanks
  3. Thanks. In NSW we get charged out rego according to the tare weight of the vehicle (unladen). 1155-1504kg is $243 1505-2500kg is $346 Plus you have the greenslip $560 ish...
  4. Thanks for the reply 51Jay - Is that wahat is on your rego papers? Bit heavier than I would have thought... I though tthe tare weight was unladen weight, so it shouldn't include driver or petrol. Could we go to them with this extract from the R33 service manual to get them to adjust the weight?
  5. Does anyone know what they have on their rego papers for the weight Even for a coupe. Thanks!
  6. Hmm. My corolla has 990kg (86 model) on the paper which I don't know what it includes... Mines a 93, I thought these cars were lighter than a commodore which is around 1580... I'll have to find out what that measurement is - I dont thinkthey include people in the rego one.
  7. What is the weight of a 4 door. I have 1580kg on the rego paper. Everywhere else I read says about 1390kg. Its got HICAS but not much else. Is this just the govt trying to rort some more money each year?
  8. Yeah Paul. Worthwhile little mode. I have full boost from about 2400rpm. Are you sure about the standard 5psi then 7-8 after the 4500rpm. My car used to sit half way on the factory boost gauge (apparently thios is about 7psi) then jump up a little after 4500rpm. (Now it does it from 2400rpm ) There is no bleed on the wastegate line so should be all standard. Has a POD filter but thats it - and cat back exhaust... Is this normal???? Paul - you were clever to think of this mod
  9. [is that what standard R33's do. Thats pretty quick!! :0
  10. Pmd you Ben..
  11. ummm - I am dumb. That was the handbrake light right? Well it went away when I took the handbrake off!!! Took it for a drive. Very nice. cheap (i.e no cost) no fuss mod. Boost used to go to the half on that +7 gauge then increase a little at 4500rpm. Now I think from around 2500-3000rpm it has that boost. Can feel that it is a bit more responsive. Only reved it to about 4-4.5k as I didn't get a chance to warm it up that much...
  12. I just did it. But the ! (check engine..I think) is displayed on the dash when I start the car. How do you reset the ECU? SHould this fix it? I'm searching here, and I have the service manual in pdf but can't find it at the moment. Any Help..? Thanks
  13. iiisavi - who/where did you get that done - sounds good!
  14. Yeah - I wasn't suggest you do that. Just checked on mine, the solenoid -ve was the black and the white was carrying the +ve 12v Might try this mod, seems fairly good for some extra low end. Why would Nissan put such a thing on? Traction issues maybe...? Cant see it really helping the engine to last longer.. I was told to get a FMIC before playing with boost but this seems fairly harmless as the car is running the higher boost at higher rpm anyway.. Any thoughts?
  15. You can only get as low boost as what the actuator opens the wastegate at. The solenoid can only "trick" the actuator pretending there is less pressure there than actually is. Hence if you remove the solenoid altogether (connecting lines together) you should only get 5 psi (or the base setting of the actuator). If you pull the hose off and leave them dangling then the actuator won't sense any boost and you will get heaps of boost, apparently the wastegate will open eventually due to the force of the air acting on the wastegate (depends on the spring tension in the actuator) anyway you will probably see 20psi or so before this??
  16. Anyone bought some of these bog stock shocks. Do you get Nissan branded ones or Monroe or KYB? Price? Thanks
  17. Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone knew a good place in Sydney to pick up some stock rear shocks for an R33. Jrt wohn at Unique Autospoas saying something like $110..I dont know if that was for the pair or 1. Usually those things you buy in pairs right? Sounded pretty cheap... i might give him a call to see I guess. Was hoping to get trade on them... thanks
  18. If the car has an existing immobiliser soes it make it harder to wir in a simple alarm? Or do you still just find wires in wiring harness and connect up? Thanks
  19. http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Nissan-Wiring.pdf WOuld like to get my hands on something like the above link but for other wiring harnesses.... Is this possible? Thanks PS sorry to revive old THREAD
  20. Chasing the same thing now too. I Have the 1 page ECU wiring diagram but would like to know colours of wires that are door locks etc etc...also that 1 page diagram didn't have wire colours Thanks
  21. Hey Razor - I just gave that guy a call before - seemed pretty reasonable. I might get him to do one. Save me mucking round trying to install one
  22. Thanks mate - but they are quite expensive and I've heard they're not that good. A guy at work that has one was saying he found out after
  23. Anyone know a good car alarm/immobiliser installer in the Sydney area. Also would like to know the price/brands of some units that are good quality and moderately priced. Thanks!
  24. Does anyone know a company that does keypad (PIN no) immobilisers other than Brant? Are these good, or easily bypassed? For R33 Thanks
  25. Thanks mate - I'll PM you with an offer if can't tack one down in Sydney. Thanks
