  1. as for the oil pump, mine fits. im not sure which model its off though. i have attached some pics.the more round one is from the gtr pump, the other is a vl turbo one.that is a rb30 crank the drive is the same on both pumps except the gtr one is wider
  2. i reckon thats asking a bit much of the man. he always posts where its needed.i will say it aswell, sydney kid , you are a top bloke!
  3. i think all the crap(including this post) should be deleted as to make this thread more user friendly
  4. cant remember man lol, just remember the r31 turbo conversion at webbies
  5. dude do you have the r31 that was at webbies?
  6. i got a head sent through toll. no business, no abn. was cheap too
  7. haha pack and send are rorters! ring toll
  8. id say you have a broken breather hose on top of your tank.this always happens to holdens and you get the fuel smell.check your tank for "wet" patches on the top or sides or wherever you can see
  9. yes it does
  10. dont worry, i just pulled the pump apart and its stuffed!grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr mods please delete
  11. also where can i get an adapter for my r33 gtr oil pump?
  12. mate i pulled them all out myself. all from series 1 commodores and 2 of them were factory turbo
  13. dude did you mean to post this in the rb30 thread?
  14. haha yeah ive had that block done aswell;( its cool though as im selling my old sohc set up to a guy who will buy this block off me as its ready to go. i was gonna do the devcon trick aswell but since i have the option to unload it and i have another block sitting there i will just get the other one machined up. i think this had better be mentioned in the rb2530 conversion guide!
  15. what about the na blocks that ARE tapped but have no machined surface?. you deleted your post alf! now this looks silly
  16. well its all tapped for turbo gear from the factory so its a bit wierd! also i have another turbo block that doesnt have the machined surface for the tensioner. so its 5 blocks in total all of which are tapped from the factory. 2 turbo blocks wearing an 8 under the engine number.only 1 has the machined surface! 3 na blocks all of which have no machined surface
  17. dunno about the welch plugs,is one better than the other? all the blocks i have are tapped for the oil and coolant lines.they come from series 1 and 2 commodores.i have never seen a block that isnt tapped.
  18. thankyou for your imput. looks like i will just get the springs and run poncams
  19. heres the pics. i have 3 blocks like the first pic and the other is a genuine vl turbo block
  20. nah. i now know why you guys dont understand me! i have 4 rb30 blocks, 3 are as ive described, they are rb30e blocks.1 has the machined surface i need,it is an rb30et block. i will get pics up soon.looks like i have discovered another thing to look out for!
  21. yes.im trying to explain as best i can.the hole that is tapped (as you stated)does not have a flat surface for the idler to sit against.
  22. yeah its whats behind the lower tensioner that is my prob. the 25 block has a machined surface for it where as the 30 block drops away by about 2mm on the inside and about 10mm on the outside.i have pics but my usb cable is missing damn it!
  23. yep but what i am saying is where you mount the second tensioner(original idler) the block isnt flat nor is it level with the machined surface that the other tensioner bolts to. i can work it out myself i just thought you guys had already done it and would know what i needed to do
  24. im using the second method.the original tensioner isnt the problem, its the original idler, you cant just simply bolt it on as described in the guide
