  2. how is your beast going japtaxi?? will have to have a look at your wiring for you sometime soon. my ute wont be too far away!! looks worse than it is hopefully done in the next 2-3 weeks. one thing about panelbeater/spraypainters is they sure do take their time!!
  3. have a few cars and owned a lot more!!! they are good guys down there and they always have plenty of repeat buisness which is always a good sign.. have they finished my 1200 ute yet!!??
  4. avcr does a gear judge mode based off the speed input that the controller has. i didnt understand how it worked until i played with one, have a look at one installed in a car you will be impressed.
  5. go and see gt motors say Adrian with the black GT-R sent you... The car was painted as a bare shell (all bolt on panels painted off the car) no overspray anywhere. Just a good quality job.
  6. Had my car painted at GT motors at mayne VERY happy with the results its only a small place and they take great pride in their work. Not the cheapest or fastest around but you get what you pay for and not one person has been able to fault the bodywork on my car (black r32 gt-r). ph 32524928 ask for Frank or Jack. Are you doing a colour change??
  7. defintly works on my r32 gt-r 1 bar and very stable...
  8. Due to air flow meter upgrade i have a HKS air filter kit with pipes to air flow meters (65mm) all hoses, clamps, brackets and instructions to suit r33 GT-R for sale in excellent condition, still in original box. Ive never had these on my car at all but id say they were used for about 1 month old (max). prefer bris buyer but will cod at buyers expense Asking $350 or reasonable offers?? can email pics
  9. cant see how a reset would stuff the aftermarket chip.. if its still based on the factory ecu it will still have all the self learing as factory and would benfit from a reset but theres no way it could stuff it, what happens if u had a flat battery.. start at the plugs and see...

  15. yes i have them ready to go in my car might be worth trying the just jap ones as well . id have to check the paper work for sure but im sure it was around 190 for the pair and their proper plastic not fibreglass. will check for u tomorrow
  16. two places sell them that i know of japanese motorsport (fit like shit have a set that are about to go into the bin) or genuine which are not that much more expensive considering the amount of labour required to make them "paintable". Jap motorsport charge about $140 set , genuine about $190. Part nos are 62256-06u00 and 62257-06u00 , nissan call them N spec..
  17. thanks for the advice i will have a look at those bolts on the weekend doesnt look like a nice job!!
  18. Thanks for your reply rb26dett Im thinking turbo fault of some sort too, maybe wastegate??? does drop of on boost pressure slightly can be seen on the avcr graph. the turbos dont have excessive play no oil leaks and not noisy. Actually it hasnt done it in 2 days now and may take a month to do it again, the solution might be some new turbos!!
  19. hey brody have you actually tried to buy a proper aluminium GT-R bonnet you would realize that its a reasonable price for one and a good $400 cheaper than retail!! you dont have to buy or respond. good luck with the sale scott
  20. Hi everyone, while driving my 1990 r32 GT-R last night, an unusual rhythmic chuffing noise from the passenger side of the engine bay started occuring as it started to come into boost at highway speeds on a slight uphill. Power was down, felt flat and lifeless. It did this a few months ago as well and i thought it was the blow off valves leaking, so i replaced them with a greedy one mounted in the factory location. The unusal thing is though if you stop the car and restart it the problem is gone and drives ok... tried turning the key off and on whist driving didnt stop the problem, it has to come to a complete stop.. Car is stock save for trust exhaust and bar and plate cooler, boost at 1 bar. Any ideas?? Spark plugs have bee changed, compression checked, injectors flowed and tested, no ecu codes have been set.
  21. I hope to be there depends on how much works on though.. should be ok though. would be nice to meet some of you..
  22. dont want to be rude but no rattle from my car, only slight rubbing noise, and thats a fact!! no its not completly silent there is nothing to hold them together but NO rattle its an os giken twin plate solid centered brass button on a chrome molly flywheel... took jnr79 for a ride on saturday, he would verify this...
  23. ok this is what ive been told by my tuner.... a twin plate that rattles (ie clanging noises when the clutch pedal is depressed) its on the way out. a slight scraping noise is ok as the clutch stator between the plates has nothing to hold it in place... most of the time when i press the cluch pedal in there is NO noise at all which i thought was quite unusual. the other reason for noises is when the spline on the plates wear or the clearance is to great (ie worn out) Hope this has helped
