i am considering a purchase of a 32 gt-r.. what does all the blurb mean towards the bottom of the sheet?? does it have many goodies on it??
any help would be appreciated!
having done clutches in both gtst and gt-rs the gt-r is not really that much more harder to do.. just really, really heavy.. can get to all the bolts from under the car if you use the right socket extensions.. how much extra to do a gt-r, or are u not doing them at all??
sorry but i think the gt-r wing looks pretty good, i wont be removing mine anytime soon, but the nismo lip looks pretty good too!.. if it was a gtst, then they look heaps better with no wing.
you cant have a high performance car using low performance fuel!! 98 octane only or rebuild time for you! jap fuel is around 100 - 105 octane i believe.
i have one of these fitted to my car before i bought it and it seems to work ok.. i actually diagnosed a faulty o2 sensor because of it! i wasnt aware of a problem with the titainia sensors..
my 32 gt-r is showing 138ks, which i believe is genuine as the car has been here since 96..
compression tested it on the weekend, its showing 170psi in all cylinders, and i know the car has had an avcr and aftermarket turbos for a few kays..
makes me wonder how many have had some form of tampering going on.. theres no reason a stockie engine (maybe not turbos) couldnt do 200k i reckon.
my old laurel (with r33 gtst rb25det installed) would not boost above 7 psi at first too, but i found the factory bov was leaking, blocked it off and hey presto, more boost!! may be worth trying, blocking it off??
just recently pull in for fuel.. older guy after filling up his prado strolls over and says
" how much power she got", to which i replied "about 280hp at the wheels". the bloke then starts, "i was at the summernats a few years ago and there were standard street commodores with 1000hp, is that all that things got??". i was too dumbfounded to reply to that..
i thought the N1 GT-R was the one with out all the a/c abs stereo ect and the nismo edition had all the bar vents, bonnet/boot lip, steel turbines ect..
