  3. Thanks for the input guys, for now ill put the old twin plate back in, and keep the R3C for when I sell the beast, in case the new owner wants to take it to the strip/track. However if anyone wants a brand new condition R3C let me know
  4. Thanks for all the input guys. I was running an OS twin before with the HKS2530 twin setup. It was rebuilt and i think was made a bit heavier than original. Whilst we were aiming for 800hp we ended up making 760hp, and i got the R3C as I usually prefer to go for a little overkill vs a little underkill. I figured it wouldnt be THAT bad but this is really not gonna work as its a street car. The NPC unit sounds amazing if it really does drive like stock!! I think I may have the old twin plate lying around, that was at least drivable with a bit of focus, and its not really going to get launched so it should most likely be fine.. i was thinking of potential launches before, hence more reason i went for the R3C. And btw i think the clutch unfriendliness is compounded by the fact that im running the OS gearset with tall first gear!
  5. Hi all, Installed a brand new OS R3C clutch with OS fitting kit into the GTR, and the clutch is LITERALLY on/off. Is there any adjustments that can be made to make this clutch at least a tiny bit drivable? I realise that this is a solid centre clutch, but is it supposed to be next to impossible to take of without stalling? thanks for any help!
  6. Anyone interested in a really clean and fast streetable 33? open to offers however not in a hurry, have not listed anywhere else as yet..
  7. pm's replied. Guys open to serious offers, but this is a brand new nismo plenum, offers under 1grand are not considered. Cheers

  10. Dyno sheet (engine dyno) and some fuel system pics as it comes together.. car should hopefully be running soon and will put it on a chassis dyno for an awkw or rwkw reading. Will get some high quality pics when its all done.
  11. Hi Mate, from what you describe it sounds like power oversteer, where you'd already fully lost traction at the rear and the momentum would probably have spun you round ABS or no ABS. But still i think its a valuable system to have on a street car. If your successful with your install i may consider it on mine.
  12. ^^edit: what he said Well it may be the case that you "shouldnt" need abs. But the definition of the word "accident" dictates that it may not be a bad idea to have it there. You could be the best driver in the world, and not see the light gravel or debry on a patch of road as you are braking into a corner. If you're driving at the limits and suddenly get a lock up, it would be not unlikely to have an off. Anything is possible, even the best drivers in the world have died on the road/track. Im not saying no ABS will kill you, but be realistic here. Situations are rarely "perfect", and even the best concentration anticipation reaction is not always enough. You guys preaching that ABS is for idiots and people that cant drive may be very talented track stars and always drive within the conditions, but there are those people that think they are, but in reality are probably not. By the way ive had my 33GTS-t without abs for almost ten years so im not biased there
  13. try an emergency brake situation in the wet, are you saying youd prefer no ABS? As for the idiots, plenty of them owning and driving skylines, no offence to anyone in particular, but we all know its true
  14. Dude! Tell me about it! I said to my engine builder i wanted to keep it, but no room for condenser and fan.. He said later on we could do something custom... Car will barely get driven anyway as i dont live in Australia anymore! Offers to buy this car may be considered!
  15. its one of those big Trust ones off of greenline Pretty sure its the 4 core one, 302x600x149...
  16. unfortunately pics arent the clearest, will get some good ones when its all done. Disregard the dates on the photos, someone needs to set their camera
  17. is there gonna be a significant difference at the end of the day with a x-force vs another? I just used what the engine builder rec'd, he reckons it will do the job.. btw fuel is 98 pump plus 10% methanol But yeah she looks pretty laggy! Goes something like this, 4000rpm 200HP, 5000rpm 300HP then between 5000-6000 rpm the power doubles from 300-600HP. Peaks somewhere round 8200rpm. Will get the dyno sheet up.. Looking at the power delivery, if i were to build again id definitly go a 3litre and perhaps a slightly smaller turbo. But no doubt this will still be fun
  18. So far it made 760HP @flywheel at 24psi. Would have liked an even 800 but i guess its more than enough as it is. its going back in the car now, will try get some pics up. Will be interesting to see how the rwkw reading will translate back to the flywheel reading once its done.
  19. good call dave, the "diamond shaped inlet" he refers to is that also indicative of sr?
  20. Not true, some HKS GT2530's only have GARRET stamped on the front housing. Ive seen GTR version HKS 2530's with the big HKS on the front, but havent seen a GTS single-turbo version with the HKS on the compressor. Especially in the older ones. Unfortunately i dont have a picture of the front of my old 2530, only the rear as shown here (right side turbo!)... sounds like its what you have? for illustration purposes, the front would look something like this:
  21. Series 1 R33 GTS-t owned for ~7 years, excessive $$ spent and very rarely used. Off the top of my head, Big $ colour change with GTR bar. The 400R sideskirts and rear are fitted up with extremely high quality. All paint/kit finishing done at Edwardstown body repairs. All clear blinkers Custom orange with very light yellow pearl. immac interior, 2 pac painted charcoal dash surround, GTR seats ACL forged motor by Brad at SPOOL imports, Tomei poncams, 550cc injectors, Z32 AFM (with stock green AFM sticker for stock appearance) Splitfire coilpacks Bosch 044 fuel pump Custom propper CAI ducted to the front bar. HKS 2835ProS full kit, extrude honed stock manifold, stock BOV for legal appearance. HKS Type-R intercooler off of my GTR (over kill size but didnt increase any lag from the previous hybrid cooler) pretty fat. HPI twin stainless front pipe with JJR decat pipe into Jap 3.5inch stainless system with large muffler, quiet at idle, screams at WOT. brand new PWR alloy radiator (50 odd mm?) brand new OS twin plate clutch just installed, done less than 500kms. brand new OS 1.5 way diff just installed, QUIET! done less than 500kms. Hicas lock bar Bilstein shocks with i think lovells springs 1 inch lowered. Brand new front OEM rotors, CRYOTREATED and slotted (after numerous probs with DBA discs) with near new racebrakes pads. tinted quarter windows and rear (regency passed) Power FC and H/C Blitz spec-r EBC hidden in ashtray Perfect A/C has never needed a regas in the 7 years of ownership. Alpine CD Deck with JBL splits, directional tweeters custom installed into door skins. LCD screen fold-away filling the spare DIN hole, used to have DVD player wired up, wire in any source you want. Some sort of philips ultra bright deal headlamp bulbs. ALL EXTRAS WERE PURCHASED BRAND NEW, (motor was previously run in by Brad who built it, estimated done 20,000kms if that) Overall everything is perfect, car has been defected once in entire ownership, and recently went through regency putting the stock turbo back on there and cat and suspension, which i have. Otherwise cleared pretty much mechanically as is. Never been shown. Crap load of extra bits, 17x8 and 9inch buddy clubs, 19inch chromies, 16inch stockies powder coated grey with tyres, pair of mickey thompson 255 16inch drag radials brand new - never got chance to use. All wheel sets as brand new. I have been stupidly picky with this car, its never left in the sun, always polished and garaged in air conditioning. 281rwkw on bp 98, awesome response, realistic and completely useable power for a street car. Just put 1 year reg, humorous custom plates included. All work done by James at Nisspeed, all tuning done by Simon at Morpowa. Underbonnet appearance is stock. Despite all the skylines around this car still turns plenty of heads. Photos speak for themselves. I think thats the most of it, Sad day to see it go. All correspondance via pm, im already out of the country and in no rush. NO SWAPS please. Get yourself a car which has undergone years of sorting, nothing left to do but enjoy it. No headaches; regency legal with half a days work - all necessary stock parts included. 25k with everything listed above. Note: stock BOV currently on car. Oil relocator kit has gone missing when pulled off for regency. Brand new factory BOV Excellent condition stock turbo/dump for returning to stock condition. Regency ready: I purchased the car like this. Please dont ask how much ive spent on it, id hate to think, truth is ive lost count anyway.
