  1. ^^LOL would it be unethical to share your experiences? id be interested to hear. ive ordered all manner of things for numerous cars from greenline over the past years, from dash clusters to driveline parts, and never once have had a problem, most cases the items were earlier than expected, with a confimation as soon as they send it off to you. never tried nengun tho.

Another thumbs up for Mark. Always friendly and helpful even when he's busy. Only ever had top dealings with him. Custom work and race cars sounds great, all the best!
  3. With the amount of tasty engines Paul is building for people right now, you wont find any love in here buddy
  4. You know, i think Forced induction performance needs a new sub-section, "Pauls Red R Rebuilds"! lol
  5. a bit of light shed, apparently the OS diff requires Z32 half-shafts, which will fit up to my 5 bolt driveshafts. GTR half shafts can also be used but as they run a 6 bolt pattern they require matching GTR driveshafts. So currently waiting on some Z32 shafts, and will update on the situation in case anyone else has a OS superlock on order.
  6. thanks for the reply 9k, however i forgot to mention that the problem is not with my GTR, but the GTS-t
  7. Hi all, My OS superlock 1.5 way diff from greenline is being installed at my workshop, and they told me that i needed another diff centre to obtain another half shaft in order to install it. Something about different lengths or equal length shafts needed (obviously im not a mechanic, im not even sure what these half shafts are, something inside the diff im told). I havent spoken to the shop yet, but the next message i got was they think the diff could be the wrong model or something. Would really appreciate if someone who has installed an OS superlock 1.5way diff could shed some light. I assumed that the diff would be a simple drop in type deal, as greenline usually states any extras that are needed to fit each item, if its not supplied. Thanks for any help guys
  8. im keen to see this 2.8 build so i can compare it to mine!
  9. come on mate settle down, 90% of people here dumb arses? this isnt nissansilvia.com :laughing-smiley-014:
  10. awesome build up with great pics, your workshop got that motor together in sweet time! what was the actual time from dropping off to picking up the built motor? a quick look at the post dates says somewhere about one month? nice! any updates?
  11. that 3037 looks horn! i love how for a decent sized turbo it remains conspicuously low mounted. The HPI pipe looks great too, i am waiting for mine from just jap right now! what front pipe were you running before? is there meant to much gains with these twin pipe hpi units? also what "cat" are you "de" running im also waiting for a JJR type 1 to fill the gap b/w hpi pipe and cat back. cheers
  12. remember that running more boost isnt necessarily good, especially if one setup is making more power with less boost. sydneykid would tell you mine is more efficient hehe that said though i think my above post relating to the turbo simply reaching its airflow potential sounds about right. I had exactly the same deal when trying to push the 2530 (using an e-boost). now running a blitz spec-r ebc.
  13. yes, in my application it would not hold anymore than that boost. which gets me to thinking that its pretty close to its potential. 280rwkw works out somewhere roughly round 450+/- hp at the fly, seeing as the turbo is rated only at 420ps, that sounds about right. i can squeeze more boost in the midrange, but as it revs out the boost drops back to 16.5. I havent gone to lengths such as wiring shut the wastegate or anything like that, as ive heard some have done to get to the 300rwkw mark with this turbo. thats gotta be pushing it, and ive been happy with the 280rwkw. The stock honed ex manifold is purely just for experimentation rather than chasing more power! Ill leave the car as it is until i put a 26 in it, and then sell off the whole running forged rb25/2835pro setup, including literally everything, injectors, tuned power FC etc.. anyone who wants this setup down the track keep mine in mind
  14. Al, very nice work, love the clean result of your build, its gonna be an absolute ride in a RWD platform! link to your build-up thread? cheers
  15. definitly the 25 or 26. if you do the correct brake upgrade i believe you shouldnt have too much trouble being legal. not sure about your particular state, tho it souldnt be too hard to find out.
  16. your early posts are a bit suss, but you threw together a nice package. well done, good stuff. look forward to the next results
  17. agreed, this turbo is absolutely fine for daily driving. Id even say its better than the 2530 for daily, as the 2530 surges onto boost too hard, where the 2835 is more progressive and controllable. As mentioned, just get a friendly clutch, there are quite a few options there.
  18. for me, it was simply seeing them both side by side in the cabinet! the 2835ProS looks more impressive from every angle. And the full kit comes with a really sexy stainless dump pipe NickR33, i am also running a built bottom end now, only other mod i have is tomei poncams, stock cam gears, so i guess same as your current setup, at 16.5psi: traction is definitly a problem, but on warm RE55's as you step on it in 2nd gear is like being launched from a catapult! I'm currently fitting an extrude honed OEM exhaust manifold, will know in couple of weeks if it makes any difference in this application. Having said that, by calculating the flywheel HP being made already, the turbo is probably at its upper limit.
  19. yep its definitly an awesome turbo. its interesting that you needed 20psi to make 265rwkw. Firstly mine wouldnt hold more than 16.5-17psi at redline, at which it was making the same power yours is at 20psi. my second gear loves to light em up when coming onto boost unless im on warmed up semi slicks, perhaps i should try some of those coilovers you have! stick your dyno sheet up, heres mine for comparo, cant remember if its in the dyno sticky. 2835ProS stock motor, stock cams and stock cam gears, peak power at 17psi.
  20. cheers guys. the engine dyno im using is currently apart for some maintenance. im hoping to get it run in/tuned as soon as its back together. Cams are Jun 272's. It will be interesting to see how this thing drives, everything about it has become more focussed on top end flow, rather than response. The only drivability/response component in its favour is the 2.8litre stroker crank! There was going to be a 6 throttle nismo plenum to help with the response, but that got put aside for the all-out hypertune manifold. All i want of this build is to have a bit of a scare when i find enough road to put the foot down. If i want a good responsive package and some tail out fun, well thats what the GTS-t is for (for those that were interested in the extrude honed stock manifold results on my GTS-t, it should hopefully be on and tuned in a couple of weeks, will post the results)
  21. hi guys, yet some more final touches... blk180 youre right, the hypertune plenum was the way to go! heres from last time and today... the cam covers were colour matched to the turbonetics compressor housing. For some reason the camera flash makes the dark metallic paint on the turbo look whitish grey in the pics, but in real life its exactly the same as the cam covers appear below, nice. and now i await the dyno...
  22. Great write up, thanks for taking the time! Guys are the stock GTR brembo's really that bad?? Most people say the stock 33GTSt calipers are much underestimated, and the GTR brembos have got to be a yard ahead of those surely? Im planning a top end brake upgrade for my GTR and conveniently upgrade my GTS-t with the old brembos front and rear at the same time.
  23. basic theme is similar to my build. looks awesome, cant wait to get mine in! looking forward to seeing what the t04z will do. how's the idle sound with those cams? noticeable lump?
  24. Whilst this topic has been covered many times, gotta have a lol at that nissansilvia link!
  25. Hey mate, payment made in full just now to your designated account. Shouldnt take long to clear. Referenced as my name + ACPTSHAFT. cheers, keep us updated on the wait!
