  1. I have had one r32 checked for me with RACV and another in NSW with NRMA. Both times i think they did an ok job, they picked up alot that i wouldnt have noticed. Any car dealership/importer who wont let you get a car checked isnt worth ur time. Fair enough RACV/NRMA are more used to dealing with Aus delivered cars, but i know at least in Vic, there are only a few RACV places that do import inspections. I had to take mine to RACV in prahran, and the guy who looked at it seemed to be knowledgable about skylines. He even picked out that the instrument clucter must have been changed as the gauges were blue-faced, (from series 1 R32s).
  2. look on www.dba.com.au they have all the sizes for brake disks in their catalogue i think they are different sizes though.
  3. I just got a new battery the other day and the mechanic didnt mention anything about having to get a high output battery or whatever. All he said was to take the black plastic box off the battery because it will cause it to overheat and die earlier.
  4. I think there would be a few of us around. Ive had my skyline for almost a year now and have not had any trouble with the police. Ive been pulled over twice for speeding and been let off both times, but both were only minor (72 in a 60 zone the worst). But maybe its because i have a pretty stock car which isnt too loud, and im off my Ps now.
  5. Possibly the do-luck side skirts and rear bar? Whats the m-sports web page? I havnt seen their kits before, i was considering getting the do-luck type 2 kit, but quite possibly might be excessively low. As in 2-3cm clearance, with current suspension.
  6. Hopefully will be coming too. Probably will c you guys at megamart but might meet at Evo R if im not running late.
  7. But its not a mini?
  8. My R32 has the same brakes as urs too, its a 92 type m, brakes have heat sink things and sumitomo printed on them A bit off topic but can you use r33 disks in an r32? I know they are slightly larger diameter, will they fit?
  9. Just reread ur first post and saw you were after the biggest LEGAL wheels. In Victoria you can only increase width of wheels by 1 inch, therefore 9" not legal. Dont know about Dee Why though.
  10. OK im back, my ride height (from guard to centre of rim) is 320mm both front and back. They rub sometimes when going over bumps, but i dont really feel anything, just get a little rub mark on the tyres.
  11. My offset on my 9" rears is +38, i think the fronts are 8" +32 or +38 Im not sure about ride height, ill go measure it.
  12. They only send out prices on their mailing list (i think), so join it.
  13. Cruising lesbians in a hotted up lancer? Its all my dreams come true at once! Just look where her finger is pointing! hehe
  14. It has 89 model headlights - what year is the car? I wouldnt be suprised if the instrument cluster dials had blue faces either. It looks like an awesome car! If the paint job is good its worth 18k, in my opinion.
  15. Damn Ni i got that car on the mailing list too, its awesome! If you really are struggling for a grand im sure we could start a collection - it would be a same to let that car pass on by! Good luck with it.
  16. My r32 has 9" on the back, they look pretty tough, but as my car is lowered a bit they sit about 1cm from the guard. You wouldnt want to go any wider with the same offset. The front disk rotors are the same as on an S14/S15, but different to a GTR. You wont need to get custom ones made, DBA sell them, slotted and crossdrilled or just slotted. Look in their catalogue www.dba.com.au Hope that helps
  17. My car has white wheels too (when i clean them). White cars and white wheels are definately the go!
  18. It was definately a non turbo that had the supercharger added on, it has blue gt badges and 4 stud wheels. I liked the graphics - transformers, pretty cool.
  19. My car is always rough when its cold, its just the ecu, nothing to worry about. You should be happy that it is doing it, its protecting the engine.
  20. I want to flare that was meant to come standard with my R32 GTST. Sorry dont know part number.
  21. 18x7.5 seem pretty skinny, i would think if you were after wheels that performed well as well as looked good, you would probably go for 8 or 9 inch wide wheels, especially for the rear. I think a car with fat 17x9s looks a lot tougher than a car with 18x7.5. Plus tyres are heaps cheaper.
  22. I think Portsea would be good, but im already half way there so ill have to meet at mt martha or somewhere on the way. Ive lived on the peninsula my whole life and never even considered going on a cruise around here! Are there many good windy streches of road? All i know is the esplanade around mt martha and its only a 60km zone so not too fun.
  23. Jareds got no friends! Actually, i only saw the post now but if i knew i would have come with you, would have been GOR all over again! Maybe sometime in the next few weeks.
  24. Thanks guys for ur replies, have decided to go badgeless for a while. But thanks to inark and blade, you guys are very generous. Thanks for your offers. lukasikrob - ur right, there are many people on this forum who go above and beyond what should be expected of them. Inark and blade both stepped up to help me out, no questions asked, when they both could have pocketed $30 or more each easily and i still would have thought i was getting a decent price. Thanks again Rhett
  25. If its an r32, i found my jack, tyre iron and 2 yellow wheel chocks in the passenger side compartment in the boot. If theyre not there, just buy a new jack from autobarn or whatever. Theyre all the same.
