  5. The person who mentioned that its not worth getting a tattoo in a language you don't understand is probably spot on. If you haven't studied it, or don't know it, getting it tattooed on your body is just gunna make it lame in a few years.. If you don't get the right translation or use a direct translation you're going to have that whole race laugh or shake their heads at you too... I'd be rethinking it..
  6. the best way to solve this little problem is to look for a 'kotowaza'. Aka. A saying or phrase in Japanese. Rezz and Mike have already raised good points, so you might be better off just doing a google search with 'kotowaza' and similar phrases and see what comes up. Just as a quick example, everyone knows 'the grass is always greener on the other side' but in Japan, if you were to translate directly, it would sound wrong. Not because of the way you translated it, but because they use 'blue' instead of green for the grass in their kotowaza. Interesting eh..?
  7. Hate to bring up an old thread but Heres the video (^_^)
  8. and the note on the top that says "Bo Ta So" should read "Bo Ta N" aka Button.
  9. Nice piccies! More though (^_^) Pete
  10. The summer festival being the 11th and 12th this month...? In that case no
  11. Just quickly while i have a access to a P.C. (Yay for overseas holidays Outside of Japan!) Tales, please learn to write coherent English... I know its easy to write SMS talk or what ever but it makes for f**king painful reading and i know if i have trouble understanding what you want to say, your Japanese students will have even more. The other reason while im writing is i made a mistake on the phone Adam. 6000 words for the 2kyu test and about 1000 kanji. --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_Lang...roficiency_Test Ok, back to holiday mode!
  12. Im so jealous Dino!!! Howd you get the information regarding the meet?! It looked like an absolutely marvelous day!
  13. Looks like i totally f**ked up.. http://mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?p=406578 http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/ Probably should've read the article better maybe. It was in the afternoon :'( But, shou ga nai.. I was at work... Oh well... Only another 1 year or so to the RX8 day...? (but that's no consolation is it.. crap.) *crys*
  14. Wait a minute.. its 5:30am and i realised just how little sense that made. If hes a gaijin and ordered a hypo motor from said company and paid cash (not sure about that one) then why would he want to know their web address?! You'd think he'd find that first, then get the company to do the work....? *scratches head*... I'm confused.. Well anyway, i gotta go to work, so we'll leave it at that for now.. now wheres my pat on the back?
  15. What are you trying to find out..? Got any pictures..? I think you're wishing a little too much. Unless the car is some fully built piece of work, i doubt they'll have that much info/let alone remember it without it being something significant. Think about it this way.. A Japanese guy calls a little Australian tuning shop to ask about a skyline thats more than 10 years old to ask whether they know what has been done to it. What do you think the answer is going to be? Don't wanna be negative but i don't know about your chances. Unless its like the Mines car posted above... In saying that, i've been rong before (woops there i go again) I've been wrong before, so give us some more info!
  16. Oh, other info about Mines Skylines parts can be found here: http://www.mines-wave.com/JP/CATALOG/MODEL/SKYLINE.htm

  18. Evening folks.. Another rainy night here in Tokyo, so instead of studying for my 2 kyu Japanese test i thought i'd put up a few pictures from my weekend. As you may (or may not) know it was the 07-07-07. So this means two things, a) A luck day (Possibly?) or b) An RX-7 Meeting!! Well, the latter is what i wanted to see but as the pictures may suggest it didn't really happen. At least not while we were there. See, according to my Option2 magazine there was supposed to be a RX-7 meeting down at Daikoku Futo. As some of you may know, Daikoku is the port area near Yokohama which is known for its Highway parking area. In years gone by it was quite the hang out for Japanese car fans. Whether or not its as big as it was in the past im not sure, but that night the police were there and half the car park was closed off. That didn't stop some from revving their engines and playing their Para Para at ear piercing volumes. Anyway, as i had to work the next day early (Yes, thats 6 days a week now..) i had to leave around 1 am. Whether or not more 7's came during the night im not sure, but there were some of the pictures from the night. Now i'm sorry they may not be that great, but these were shot on a camera i just got and it was my first outing with it! Next time i'll try and do better! And definitely bring a decent bloody sized tripod! The thing i brought was too small Anyway, enjoy the pics boys and girls! Peter First off, this S14.5 in Akihabara on the same afternoon.. Side on... It had a tubular front end and it was street legal?! @ Daikoku - Laurel Beautiful FD3s.. Forgot what this was, but it was slammed! and that exhaust.. Beautiful old schol skyline. Was owned by a U.S. Military guy hence the Y plate It was absolutely IMMACULATE! Another beautiful RX-3.. Nicely restored and another nice example!! Another of the U.S. boys rides.. This time a 180+S15 front. Old School Corolla!! VIP Boys! This had more lights and flashy things than one could count in one night! Something i couldn't stop looking at... Side on of the Old school skylines that were out! Some of the 7's that came in and out whilst we were there.. A nice little FC3S!! So, a little disappointing. Whether or not the meet ended up happening later im not sure, but it was nice to finally get around to going to Daikoku Futo. A big thanks to Ayumi for letting me taking his passenger seat in his BMW (of all cars to go to a 7 Meet ) but it was fun! Until next time, Enjoy! Peter
  19. S13 i think played with the fuel tank or pump or something. It wasn't clear, but he did something at home and mustn't have done it right and it went up in smoke. Was quite sad to see.. The after result =
