The "S" had the Brembos too which would make it a closer equivalent to the Skyline (a tad softer) therefore I would use that as the more accurate comparison, making the Skyline more expensive (as you would expect). Anyway, the Skyline is far better value as a grey import (and I looove it sooo much).

It's my first time on the track. The extent of my off-road experience is one skidpan day with my R33 (and I was pretty crap) and on Forza Motorsport 2. I will be using the instructors as much as possible!

I'm doing the Driver Dynamics day at Sandown, which is a brake heavy track from what I understand. They say I'll get about 20 mins per hour of driving. My car is the 6MT with the Brembos. Is it really necessary to change brake pads/fluids? I'm not sure what pads are on there now, they are whatever came from Japan and the fluids are the ones put in during compliance. I'm going to run on my street tyres, Hankook K104s. They only have 1000kms on them, and the wheel alignment/balance is fine. The battery already sits in it's hole, surely it doesn't need any additional securing? I don't keep any junk in it at all. I guess I should remove the space saver?

I'm looking for advice as to how to prepare my V35 for my first ever track day on 2 August. What should I be doing/checking for? -Max

I think it looks pretty hot other than that spoiler. The back is a bit rounder than I expected from the press photos I'd seen. I reckon the V36 sedan looks better than the coupe from the back.

Sorry Bobby, As I said it wasn't actually a "drag race" as such...

I got dragged from some traffic lights by a wanker in a Smart fortwo... lol OK, so it wasnt really a drag race. He jumped the lights to get in front of me and I couldn't allow that so I sped up a bit. The scary thing was, rather than slow down to let me pass, he pushed alongside me for 50m between the traffic lane where I was and the parked cars. Has anyone else had any interesting traffic light experiences? Another one I had was a courier on a motorbike running into my mirror whilst lanesplitting whilst I was stopped. Thankfully no damage but I would have been super pissed if there was.

Rianto, You know I had problems too but none of them were from VicRoads! 1. Delayed at freight forwarders/docks for 3 weeks due to incompetence 2. Delayed getting car towed from docks to RAWS (1 more week) 3. Got to VicRoads, RWC had incorrect engine number on it! (had to drive back to mechanic) 4. Car scratched by RAWS (though they have agreed to at least give it a minor cut & polish to reduce the damage) It's fun and games importing but it's so worth it once it's on the road. You get everyone from Muzzas to old men in Audis trying to work out what it is (not to mention the odd idjit who thinks its a GT-R )

What sort of power do you get with the Stillen Kit?

That Stillen Kit sounds awesome Waz. How do you modify the bonnet to fit? Do you need to buy a new one or just get the hammer out ?

Correct, and your car has to be garaged for them to take a look. I did a lot of research and Lumley had easily the best premium/excess and terms (I don't work for them!).

No worries, was very pleased with Lumley, much lower premiums and excess than Just Cars. They also give an extra 10% off for members of Car Clubs (would take me to $1220ish/year).
