  1. I have been looking at some 6.5" alpine SPR 12LS or similar - open to recommendations though? up to about $250 - want to have the tweeters sep. Yes before anyone says it - it is getting sound deadened this weekend as the subs / HU go in...
  2. I need a template to use so I can cut out some pods for some new speakers in the doors of my R33 s2. Since heaps of you have prob done this before, did anyone keep a tracing of their template they can upload? : )
  3. i just bought a setup that sits 2 12" alpine type S subs facing into the boot top (standing vert) in a sealed box the Alpine required size for the 2 subs to work optimally. I don't know how u guys are getting 2 subs in the corners with the right size enclosures and still having boot space? I would have thought it would simply be far too small for the subs. I am not knocking this setup, I don't know jack about car audio just trying to find out more about why such different size boxes for the subs are often recommended/.
  4. yer i did think that was a possibility but I *think* that its the end edge that is the closest (not the bit with the logo) but I am not 100% and cars not here right now to check out.
  5. awww you got deep dish at the front? f**k i want that too it looks tight I suppose u had to pay extra when buying the set to get dished front and rear ay? if you dont mind how much extra was it?
  6. my new rims sit so close to the calipers on the rear with the dish that I can barely get my nail in between them at the closest point between the two... now theres quite a few people on here with the same rims on the same kind of car, so I'm guessing as long as the wheels turn without hitting (no matter how close) that the distance to caliper doesn't matter? theres about a centimetre of clearance at the front but maybe 2mm at rear... this is with starcorp racing impuls (deep dish pack). woot.
  7. thats what I expected to find too, but it still has 'processing' as the status. No links or EMS numbers in the info under the order. I'll shoot them an email, maybe they can clear it up.
  8. I ordered a few bits through Nengun on the 22nd last month, hoping to see them soon. one Q for peeps who have ordered from nengun before, if it has a shipment date in the details (mine is 8th oct) how long would it usually take after that date? I haven't received any EMS numbers or anything.
  9. don't worry, I drove one too at some point. Thats why I am qualified to say they suck I did a similar thing to funky - started with a s13 --> cefiro --> 180 --> R33! the nissan family tree getting well represented in my driveway.

  14. did that make the car lower? what was your height from wheel centre to guard with the stock springs still in place? SK - I am thinking hard about if i can fork out the $1200 or thereabouts for the the shox + springs... will be in touch if I magic up the money in the next few weeks.
  15. i'm done with coilovers, i had the HSD's in my last car and they nearly killed me occasionaly when I drove in the wet! I need something I can have clients / girlfriend in car and not have them complain about being shaken all over. I think remaining with shocks / spring combo will be the go, just not sure what yet.
