Well one prob was it was a drag car in Japan and I converted it into more of a club sprint car. 50k is nothing-16k was the shocks alone,the Motec was another 20k with wiring and sensors,the OS Gikon box was 6k, diffs and shafts were 5k(there is nearly 50k there and havnt touched the motor yet-me thinks peeps on here need to check their prices) So it made sense to me the GT3 Cup car with all that in it and Porsche amazing engineering and relaibility(which most R32 GTR's dont have a lot of)and i still say the Porsche is a good deal.

you can buy a older model GT3 cup car(Track only) with cage and MOTEC for around the 130k-I have spend 100k on a R32 GTR before and it was quick but when it came to cosistant lap times at Qld raceway the Porsche was faster, more reliable and better engineered all day every day(and this was with a well known V8 Supercar driver doing the driving of both car) GTR's are good but by no means the be all and end all- I have had 6 of them but no more How many Porsche in the top 10 at targa this year??? ummm any GTR's???.... And as for being called a trader by num nuts(R33 Racer) i have had 30 plus Nissans over the last 10 years and at least 15 were Skylines and 6 were GTR's

Ive built the odd GTR track car and at the end of the day just go out and buy a GT3 and be done with it-cheaper in the long run

How are these GTR people different to the guys in Chevs and Monaros 30/40 years ago??? You cant tell me a 2200kg Chev Impala is a perfect car to use as a base as a drag car. These cars start off as a daily driver and progress to a more serious drag car as the mods pile up. I have owned and raced dragsters and big HP big blocks and they arent all there cracked up to be either ,and as for those Sainty engines how can you compare a megga $$$$$ drag only engine to an RB26??? Not all of us have the $$$$ to throw at such an expensive piece of kit-just ask Mickey Atholwood about burning hundred dollar bills like they are going out of fashion-at least the GTR's make it past the 60 foot mark without having a $30000 explosion

Either way a 450rwkw GTR wont be cheap to run and maintain-mine only had 370rwkw and had a large appetite for gearbox's. I fixed the problem with a full OS Gikon set. In hindsite should have spent all that money on something else
