  1. Got started stripping the alfa today, before rain interrupted the party Progress: Probably need to block up some of these holes in the wall between the back cabin and boot to put the fuel system in the boot. Didn't get on to the roof lining or dash before the rain came... Can some one tell me what is going her? There is a hose going from the fuel filler neck to this box: Then another hose out of the box to this filter looking thing on a T piece: Then the other hose of the T piece runs up to the front of the car, I haven't managed to trace it further than that. WTF? Found more rust, sneaky stuff hiding under carpets and interior trims Shouldn't be too bad, I'll just cut it out for weight reduction. Cage should make up for any lost structural integrity. Lots of this matting sh*t is still stuck to the floor . But it seems to be mainly stuck to the sound deadening, so hopefully when I clean that off with dry ice it will take care of it... How much do you reckon this gas strut weighs? I'm thinking I'll replace it with a wood stick Hopefully I can finish stripping her Tomorrow, then on Monday tackle the sound deadener with dry ice

  3. Guys, Got the following for sale: Bee*R Rev Limiter. Used but in good condition and working 100% (Gave it a good test before I ripped it out ). About 1.5M of cable on it. $300 delivered anywhere in Aus. 2x Monza 4 point Race Harnesses (Black). Used, one of the buckles is faded and they are a bit dirty. I'm sure you could clean them up if you can be bothered (I can't). $150 for the pair delivered anywhere in Aus. Prices Negotiable

  6. Well, I question old mate's diagnostic technique. He says: now by 'dropped pressure' I would assume that means no compression? But how he tells it has no compression in 1 cylinder without testing them I don't know, and if he'd tested them he'd know which one it is. If its actually got no compression on 1 cylinder, forget it, its f**ked. IF he actually means "not firing" on 1 cylinder then it could be something simple causing no fuel or spark to that cylinder, in which case it would probably be a very easy fix. I would suggest, if you have any intention on buying it, do a compression test on it first and if the cylinders aren't all in spec and fairly even, then stay far FAR away, it's not worth the hassle.
  7. Yes, but you know what's even worse than a VG? A VG that's dropped a cylinder
