My car was scratched to the shitter today whilst i sat about in my apartment in the middle of the day on a saturday. Someone scrawled all over back of boot, bonnet and down both sides totally (the roof and spoiler are the only bits left untouched. I say if any are caught doing this, it should be a swift execution, and if the owner of the car finds out who did it, they should be exhonerated of anything they do to the perpetrator. So.....very....angry. dunno what the point of this was but i just needed to rant to mass people i think. Hopefully most will buff out, but i'm thinking the bonnet will need to be resprayed. Anyone know anyone who does some good detailing in the west sydney area?

i think that backfiring can **** your cat but not sure. Look at getting SAFC II or power FC computer to fix your fuel mixtures. Think thats about all you can do -

So true dude. Anyone remember only a couple of years ago they made us have p's for 3 years so we would be better prepared?? Has anyone asked if it has worked at all or has it just netted them thousands of dollars because of the extra tests and licenses you have to get now. They aren't even thinking about ways to stop the accidents, or if they are they aren't thinking ahard enough. -
yeah if its in or near sydney CRD (www.croydonracingdevelopments.com) or unique autosports. http://www.uniqueautosports.com.au/ are pretty good so i've heard. If not NRMA are pretty good for most the mechanical stuff. Not sure how they are with testing turbo and shit. Definitely get them to check it out if the others don't work though.

shif_tea replied to Aya's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ummmm it was about $684 delivered man. Which was a bit cheaper than most of the shops around. -
What do you think the answer is .....

People i am a 23 year old p plater. Only because i was lazy - and lived on land so i've been driving since i was about 10. I own a skyline and i'm very responsible. Personally i think its totally about education. Teach these losers to drive so that they don't need to show off and speed. I've never felt the need to show off by speeding. I mean you can speed in a honda civic and kill yourself -
Man i would tell that bitch to walk. If I was nice enough to let her drive my skyline (which i would never do anyway especially on her P's) and i tell her to ease off, and she told me to shut up.....she would never see the driver side of my car again....and she'd be lucky if she saw the passenger side. She must be hot if you put up with this. Personally i'd put the love of my skyline first!!! But honestly, thats really rude of her, and i think you need to stand up for yourself and your car.

Go the GTR, everywhere u look there are WRX's around. Too common. GTR much classier and rarer.

Question about buying parts from online shop!

Good Advice? or just nagging idiots?
shif_tea replied to The Dan's topic in General Automotive Discussion
damn man, my skyline cost me 20k, all that woulda done was possibly been a deposit on a house in sydney. probably not even. I'm too young to be buying a house and settling down. Mum doesn't really understand the car thing but dad never really minded. Might as well have some fun before some crazy broad makes you sell your soul to make a home. Besides, if i bought a house now and ended up killing myself in the skyline that i purchase later in life...then what the hell was the point of buying the house???? hahahah please noone try to follow that logic. Also about the vl fetish. I own a vl as well, and i won't hear anything bad said about them!! it lasted me well, drove 30 thou kms with a cracked head and never broke down. its a good old girl. -
Need Insurance? Want Cheaper Insurance?
shif_tea replied to two40's topic in General Automotive Discussion
man thats not a bad lot of quotes. Guess the extra few years help. What a pain. I don''t trust famous as far as i could kick em. Pretty much only covered during peak hours, if the sun is in the right quadrant of the sky, theres no rain, and there's noone else on the roads within 15 metres of your car!! But then again i dont trust any insurance companies....can anyone taste the bitterness?? :Paranoid: -
but does it make the noise that my nasty HKS pod makes???? I think of it as a cheap substitute for a blow off valve

hey croatiandelite, before i bought my car i got a few quotes on 93 r33 gtst (same conditions as u except i'm 23) because thats what i thought i was gonna buy. I got a quote of $1900 from just cars (i have no driving records and i quoted as a fairly stock unit) try again maybe -
yeah you're right, i'm just the uber whinger!! i'll just start replacing em every 10k or so. Can't go past the soudn they make. Mine sounds louder than a bloody blow of valve!!!

BASTARD!!! :talk2hand I'll swap ya cars!! hahahahah -
forget that last comment.....sorry just stumbled across the answer in another thread. They are oiled
-
hey are the hks pods oiled?? i've read all them threads attached and there seems to be a bit of contradictory advice in there. I oiled it when i bought that cleaning kit (not overly) but i'm wondering if thats a bad thing to have done now. Thanks for all the help too guys
-
dammit i was worried that might be the case. Thanks man
-
I know this is a dumb question but i have to ask. I have a HSK mushroom pod filter on my 95 gtst. Its pretty dirty, so i went to buy a cleaning kit for it (the guy said that the K&N cleaning kits work on em) i cleaned it once and now its dirty again. In that time i've heard that these filters are actually replacement type (i hope not as they are 65 bux each) but i just wanted to know if i can clean it or if i actually need to replace it. I don't want my engine sucking in any crap. Cheers
