but dont purchase those cheap oil catch cans.. They will do you more harm and will cause oil leaks!! Isnt there more pressure build up in these cheap cans??

OHh also.. my rear driver side shock is leaking as well.. Why is it only the driver side? Could it be the oil leaking into the caliper area?? I think maybe thats it??

gtrchick- i have a feeling the rotors are glazed and need replacing.. The surface isnt that rough to be honest.. Or the piston inside is getting stuck somehow? i will try and get it checked out.. but the weird thing is, that the noise is only coming from the driver side!! Worst comes to worst, i will replace everything (ohh god im gonna be broke then lol) thanks for the help!! Any other suggestions?

i actually have owned precedas on my stockies back in the days.. I actually liked those rubbers to be honest!! They had fair amount of grip!! A friend of mine use to have those Khumos on this 33 (front) and found them to be reasonable good.. No complaints from him.. I beleive Mr_G on this forums bought khumos as well (cant remember which model) Maybe he might reply!! But i would go with michelins or the khumos!!

What are some prices for these semi slicks? I might be going to a track day in may.. Wouldnt mind some semi slicks.. i got 17inch rims.. 235s front, 255s rear.. Also i got toyo t1rs in the front (95% thread), advan ad07s rear (50% thread left) So i wont be using the advans on the track day. Would it be alright to have just semi slicks on the rear?? Sorry to hi-jack thread.. Just thought i ask since we are on the topic of slicks..

Well we took the brake pads out.. sprayed the shit out of calipers n everything inside.. lots off dust pouring out.. so its pretty much clean now.. But the noise went away.. But then a day later (today) i heard it again (not as loud as the first day it happened) (drove this morning for atleast 50kms, with no noise!! Then in the afternoon, i heard it again) Yup i have a series 2 But its only coming from the driver side!! Brakes feel normal!! they work and pull up quite well.. It sounds like as if a sharp object is touching the rotors (like sharp nails on a glass)

Nope thats the funny thing.. the first day it happened.. i reversed a little and the noise was substanially louder than driving forward...

There where a few threads regarding painting rocket covers etc etc and im sure someone made a tutorial on it.. check those threads out!! Wish i had the money and time to do it.. would love to paint my rocker cover etc etc.. But nah looks good dude.. dont go over the top now lol!!

Hey everyone.. Just out of know where (and i mean out of know where) driving along to the petrol pump(1km from my house), the car started to squeak/squeal and make weird noises.. Im getting scared here.. thinking somethings stuck under the car.. pull over, nothing there.. Start driving again and the noise gets louder and louder.. Pretty damn loud.. Anyways long story cut short. Me and my friend pin pointed the noise to the rear driver side caliper area. Yesterday we pulled out the brake pads, cleaned the rotors plus claipers with nulon brake spray.. Put everything back together and no noise.. Drives like a charm and brakes like a charm!! Then this afternoon driving along it did the same thing (however a lot less noise, but you can hear it squeal again) So what you guys think could be the problem? Is it the piston in the calipers not engaging or something?? Brake pads have probably 30-40% meat left.. BUT the noise only comes from that side(driver) Any suggestions before i go to a brake shop?? ^ a friend of mine had a ces split system on his old r33 (200kw tuned).. anyways he never had any problems even with the 02 sensor on the bottom.. his milage was awesome.. 450 to a tank.. maybe more on highways.. He had his car for a year.. anyways to those who say the bos one fitted perferctly do you have a abs unit? i know for those who dont have it, you can move your air-con pipe around so it wont touch it.. Now with the new design it touches the oil lines.. Im sure over time, its just gonna wear it out (the metal pipe) Bos if you reading this, please get another design made up.. lol.. Move the wastegate pipe a tad over.. But quaily of the pipes are excellent!!

I didnt know r33 standard rims came in 16*7 and 16*8s.. Thought it was 16*6 all round with offset of 40 or so.. but 35 offset or 40 will deff fit.. You might have to run 245s or 235s on the rear as well.. Hopefully someone with 19s should tell you..
