  1. Rear doors central locking wiring removed and cleaned. See the first 8sec video of when it’s filled with river silt. its a snip of what I’m up against. front and rear doors complete now. Maybe another day removing carpet and bits and pieces. Then the re assembly begins. 🤙 att.DqweJqhY5MZiZYQDVMhn3LtvdD1RBZ7TBG4f2s7W1zM.mp4 att.lFuN22MZEowqCbFAXoDw009r2gHL76ChMVfxMfBX-uk.mp4
  2. Got pneumonia, haven’t played with her in a while, but I’m back now. Previous owners cut bonnet pins into the bonnet. My choice try find a replacement or spend $15 get some pins myself to cover up. Now only one small hole to cover. looks shit now, but when the bonnet is red again. Be good 🤞
  3. IMG_8641.mov She doesn’t sound the best but starts with out using any gas now. I just ran some injector cleaner through her. started roughly the first time after adding it but gave it the beans slowly upto 4k, Must have cleaned a few cobwebs out. another step in the right direction for the sub
  4. Brakes done and she’s mobile! Driving around my yard, bailey was the only one that was keen for the first drive. Cosmo would rather watch. It was nerve racking driving past the r34 in the shed. Don’t fail me now brakes haha IMG_8570.mov
  5. Front end back on! Look at that beautiful sub 🥰
  6. Been a bit of work to get to this point, definitely a huge milestone for this sub✌️
  7. First movement under her own power. IMG_8456.mov
  8. Cold start, battery is one I got with the car and dead! Jumping is required as it won’t hold charge and yes the alt is working IMG_8373.mov
  9. Just another step forward. Neary time to put front end back together after I get this box sorted. Shortly
  10. Yeah gear box was not full but did have some water mixed with the fluid, steeering rack and brakes are next as the box is getting fluid to see if it will move around the back yard without the assistance of my patrol dragging it. the box or motor I’m assuming will be in very used condition and shortly give up. But who knows. 🤞 i lsd got fresh oil and the old oil was not contaminated with any water.
  11. New leads, over flow bottle and windscreen washer bottle cap. Gear box is getting oil shortly so I can drive it around my yard. running nicely! R34 must be getting shitty I’m spending all my time on the r31. It shit a brake switch yesterday. They are not fun to get to haha best get into the power steering and brake system next. ✌️
  12. lol I don’t care what they would do man. The car has no functioning gearbox. i have a job and im not made of money. Doing it with my own two hands
  13. Motor done back together, surprised is a understatement with this rb30. just think 10m under flood waters for a couple weeks, 20lt water inside the engine for 3years. cleaning the cooling system installing new plugs leads and overflow bottle and then I’m closing the bonnet moving onto the restoration of the body. already finished few external pieces for putting the puzzle back together. this has been very enjoyable, frustrating at times definitely. Moving forward with my silo sub!!! thank you to everyone that has helped me so far, ✌️ att.jiLuuIrdYfPMplUAOjVfrq4OOOc082zjTnt1kJrhKVQ.mp4
  14. Haha yeah mate, I didn’t notice till I watched the video myself haha
  15. Yeah I noticed this just now. No doubt she will be running smoother next start😂🤣😂
  16. As promised………… the first start. Rough and a few bugs to work out. Still she lives att.1cnTUvrWxiOZUFbg0S43m1VFUdDhxGBq3UU53bvtkww.mp4
  17. Nice write up solder thank you. that problem had fallen into another days fun. I wanted to get this cold side in and turned over so it was wired up the same to get a start. no luck I got a couple of cough’s before the battery died unfortunately. we have some wether on the way and I’m back to work, I will order your plugs and re wire them in the near future. 🤙
  18. Finally getting around to changing whole cold side. (Look at that sludge) lets see where this leads once it’s all together tomorrow.
  19. Thank you for the links. I’m going to go with the 6pin plug you used. next step is rust treating re painting dash support bar and steering column then the 6pin cradle plug when it arrives in the mail.
  20. In no way was i suggesting it’s your fault mate. The trailer cable has a plug that I removed. I will have a closer look, but I did remove the trailer wiring cable with the tow ball as I don’t need it on my silo. i have replaced the fuel pump already there’s no need to remove the cradle again I can see the wire colours from it in.
  21. Today myself and a mate tracked a fuel pump issue down to this amazing piece of workmanship in the fuel cradle loom. Covered by conduit and electrical tape. so now we should be moving onto the first fire once this is corrected. 🤞🤔
  22. Thanks mate yeah ready to move onto the next step now. Get this motor running then I will want the box to drive it around my yard instead of pushing the thing haha Time to get the ass end off the stands and the wheels back on. Finally tank complete
  23. New tank clean paint and install complete 🤙
