  1. Not bad at all ! Generally the Netspace women are nice so if you see em, jump em.
  2. I like the clutch now coz its had over 500km to bed in. Feels almost normal except it gives a better 'sling-shot' effect. Do I need to turn the boost up ? I only turn it up when I -have- to.
  3. I must have been on the right roads at the right time last night coz i didn't see a single Cop and I was out from 9pm-10pm. /me gotta fit his pod box this weekend I think.
  4. I recently got a Daikin Organic clutch and its very nice. Cost me sub $500 (got a friendly discount) and pulls so much harder than the stock clutch (as u would expect when the stock clutch was warn). I created a thread for discussion on it lately over here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ighlight=daikin
  5. Deffinetly from here you would go with: * A'Pexi / HKS Pod Filter * Pod Filter Box with a cold air feed (also so u dont get a yellow canary) * FULL Exhaust system That will add around 10-15% more power instantly. It will also make your car sound alittle nicer. This'll cost you in the low $1300-1500.
  6. That gold is a nice effect, good work !
  7. Pretty much everything above is just stipulation. If you put 2 GTS-T's side-by-side 9x out of 10 they will not be putting out the same power. You could have up to 10% more power than the GTS-T beside you. You also might have got a bad batch of fuel which could totally ruin your chances. Like Ed said above, I also prefer to chase people down. Give them about 1.5 car lengths and then just put it flat (on 7psi) and watch them sweat it. Like Rev210, leave it for the track where conditions are as much identical as possible and then start your laughing.
  8. Geeze its taken me almost 3 weeks to convince myself to get new rear shocks ($700 fitted) instead of buying a fuel reg + adj cam gear. Thats a nice increase from the fuel reg, obviously you had abit of a bottleneck there !
  9. If its all hiflowed i'd be expecting 200+ rwkw.
  10. Sounds like you have made some nice mods. Give the clutch about 400-500km of work before you make up your final decision. The first few days will be a real b1tch but it will get much better as it sits in and as you get used to it. Dyno and a 1/4 time would be great, got any pics ?
  11. INASNT: Im not sure if I like it or not (might be just the blue colour) but thats a top effort. I've been abit happy in the last few days with the spray can and I have found the black plastic door handle cover on the drivers side (that holds the elec window buttons inplace) to be abit warn and tacky, im sure a nice coat of black would go down well
  12. Yes i've got a new Daikin Organic in mine and it feels great.
  13. Quite an interesting fact, thanks Sydneykid.
  14. heh yeah that was a spur of the moment thing as i was putting it all back together.
  15. Just some engine heat proof spray paint that was good for metal or plastics. I forget the brand but their was about 100 cans to choose from ranging from like $10-16 depending on brand and can size.
  16. I chose gold so that eventually it matches with the gold rims I plan on buying (after I find another bank to rob).
  17. Sounds like you have a good plan their ! Just make sure you upgrade the parts in order so you dont have to tune and retune.
  18. Was down at the local Hardware House today and discovered an isle of Engine Bay spray paints. I found a nice colour for $10 and spent the afternoon spraying bits n pieces. (including all over my hands and finger nails LOL). I was quite happy with the result as im not a car person and never taken bits n pieces off an engine before let alone spray painted everything. Hopefully the paint will last atleast until next weekend coz I quite like the look of it even if it is just myself that knows. Its often the little things that count I always say. All up it took me around 4hrs including drying time (3 coats) to do the job. Would have been quicker if I had the correct tools grr. I want to get braided lines next to tidy everything else up and then i'll be close to happy with the engine bay. Can anyone recommend an online store for these parts or even just for info/pricing/measurements etc? Fullsize pics can be found at http://skylines.pnc.com.au/pics/ben/gold/
  19. I agree women are only good to bring if they are going to get involved. If they just spend the night sitting in your car you'll end up home early. I think i have brought about 3 or 4 different women along to cruise without any problems.
  20. While I agree with you guys that Dyno figures are just that... dyno figures I also agree that 1/4 times can be just 1/4 times. Their are almost as many variables with 1/4 times as their are with dyno's. Different track vs different dyno Tuned dyno vs untuned dyno = track with good surface vs oil spill on that lane of the track earlier. Different air temperatures, times of the day, drivers of the same car, yada yada the list goes on. I'm trying to get more power out of my car to 'assist' in getting a better 1/4 time ready for when the new Eastern Creek Track opens in 7mths time. Ben.
  21. Bump... Updates peoples Bump...
  22. Just an update if anyone was following this thread. I'm up to 203rwkw with afew more tricks up my sleave to get it to ~215rkw. I've worked out that basically you just need to make sure all links in the chain are even and power is fairly easy to generate.
  23. I generally prefer to use trusted brands for parts like this but it depends on the saving and quality in the end
  24. I agree Franks, its almost turned SAU into Whirlpool. Gimme Moderator status and watch the threads halve
  25. Bigger is not always better especially when it comes to turbo's. Each component of your engine has to much every other component, no point 1 bit being big if the rest can't. Kinda like a chain is only as strong as the weakest link but in reverse.
