  1. Well they are going to charge me $50 for labour from friday (had my car there for 8hrs trying to find the problem). Then another $250 for labour to put the new shocks in and set it all up correctly. He said its gonna cost abit more than normal coz they have to take the back seat out so im thinking if i can take the back seat out before i leave the car with them i could probably save $50+ in labour. I also got recomended to them by my brake specialist and he warned me that i'd get charged alittle higher than normal but its the best place in town to get it done. Maybe someone at the TNS cruise tonight can show me how to remove the back seat and save me some $$ on labour. We'll see !
  2. Man all of this stuff is WAY over my head anyway. Edit: After looking at UAS from what I can work out this is what im getting. Koni Adjustable Shocks. (for the same price as what UAS sell them for) $450 pair + Labour http://202.139.242.57/images/MVC-017F_2.JPG
  3. I had it at Wholesale Suspension today (Whiteline and King Springs Specialists in Penrith) and it appears that my rear shocks are kaput. They are adjustable but coz they are some japanese aftermarket brand they can't be pulled apart and small parts replaced. I have it booked in next week to get new replacement adjustable shocks put in (gonna take 2 days). Costing me $750 (Ouch!) which is about $100-150 more than I was expecting for the original problem but he said i should deffinetly expect better 'squat' a better smooth ride and no axle tramp Coulda been a lightened flywheel or new momo steering wheel etc but oh well if thats what I gotta pay then i'll pay it (besides its only a 1km walk from work).
  4. Edit: After reading the 'whole' 5 pages of crud i've discovered its now at H/Bush 6C at 8pm.
  5. Yeah i went and sat in the crowd. I think from 8pm onwards their was like 1 Skyline and about 4x 200's. The most excitement of the day was watching the Rotors blow to bits. I've never laughed so much (well that was until i realised i had dripped tomato sauce allllll over my shirt + pants from the dagwood dog )
  6. I put another 70km on my car last night and its still getting better. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this stuff.
  7. My 33 got done last saturday during a bbq. On the way home my exhaust was making rattling noise (no im dead serious). I got home to find the nut off a bolt missing so i took it back to the workshop on monday and got it permanently fixed. George you need to learn to take it easy the first time buddy geeeeze !!
  8. I got the guru's at Pedders to do a complete test of my setup (as to why im getting knocking noises at low speeds at the rear of my GTS-T). He said "because its adjustable suspension their is slight movement and their is nothing you can do about it". What I get out of that diagnosis is that they need to stick to the family cars because when they get a decent piece of machinery infront of them they have no idea. Whiteline is just a touch too far away for me to pay them a visit tho. (about 45mins)
  9. My non-technical tips would be to drive on stock boost (7psi) and smooth gear changes at around 2800rpm. If you can hear the POD filter sucking in the air (my hks makes this noise) then you are accellerating too hard.
  10. Yes I had the lightweight put in my car yesterday (Tuesday). I could notice a difference immediately on the drive home (3km) and it was better again today on the drive to work (3km). I think by this time next week it should be at its full effect (400km later). Deffinetly worth the $110. ($25/L + $10 Postage) Edit: The easiest way I can describe the difference is... standard oil: When cold its very hard with 1st <-> 2nd + 4th sometimes crunches. When its warm (1hr of driving) things aren't too bad but 4th still crunches now and then. Redline oil: Cold = the same as warm with the standard oil I'll give it afew 100 km's first before i make a final judgement. Verrrrry impressed with the oil so far.
  11. I didn't understand much of all the mumbo jumbo but it certainly sounds like a great coupla years u have had. All this talk about GTR's makes me want to get an R33 GTR grrrrr. neeeeeed a better jooooob.
  12. Rev210 is also a smart guy (I've been following afew of his threads and reading his comments). It doesnt take a HUGE front mount and a HUGE turbo to make good consistant power to get you down the 1/4 Mile. I would say (from a non drag racing mind) it would be something like 40% driver 30% engine 20% handling setup (susp + tyres) 10% track conditions
  13. I checked my tyres (Falken ZE-502 - 225's) on the weekend and they dropped about 4 PSI in about 6 weeks. My mum got her tyres pumped up with urmmm whats it called nitrogen or something (wild guess i have no idea what its called). Cost her like $60 to have it done and mannn their is a difference. Tyres are never REALLY hot, never changed PSI and drives more smoothly.
  14. /me has Falken Ziex ZE-502 - 225/50/16 on all 4 noooo Think I might go and rip afew donuts in my street to force myself to get some new tyres. These things are absooooolute rubbish in the wet, I can't even roll around round-abouts without getting the tale all excited. I still think they have a solid 4mths+ usage tho If I keep the rears spinning at the same revolutions as the front
  15. bahhh iiNet bring on Internode when it comes to ADSL /ducks bosses swinging arm
  16. "RE540S" What is the brand and specs of these and approx do they cost ? I have Falken 225's on my car all round and I certainly think their is more traction to be gained with a better quality tyre.
  17. www.pnc.com.au <- PLUG
  18. The best thing to do was order your 'big lunch' before school started nad they write on it 'paid' and sign it. Then when you get your lunch order and eat it at 'big lunch' time you just write a sunny boy onto the bottom of the order and go to the canteen to collect it. Yup worked for a solid month i tell ya.
  19. Is it healthy for the car/ecu for the ecu to be disconnected each night ?
  20. i've got a before/after review of a front+dump (1 pipe) with some nice gains you can find the review under the /Performance section.
  21. pics ?
  22. I can't really see the argument your making here ? Same Dyno Same Tuners Same Mode Very similar day (temperature) This thread was to compare the before/after of fitting a frontpipe so i think its totally fine regardless of whether it was in shootout mode or not.
  23. approx how much is this flywheel worth and is their any noticable difference over the stock vs aftermarket ?
  24. Im sorry guys but I feel very violated here. :chop: George you have taken my virgin exhaust and hammered it. On the way home I noticed a slight rattle to my car, checked underneath to find that 1 of the bolts on my exhaust was loose a fix with a spanner and it was all good again. You musta rammed it good :uh-huh:
  25. Ed's my bitch he got :Owned: on the dyno so their will be none of that :shake: stuff.
